  1. They are lifting the top piece of the turnaround track into place right now!!
  2. From what I can (barely) see, it looks like they're doing some work back there today. Now if the sun glare will just go away, maybe we can see what it actually is.....
  3. I think so. It's a good thing too, with the wind here today. They would probably struggle if they were still working up high.
  4. Wave turn isn’t completed, but they have created it and are now starting the downslope. Cameras are working good for me.
  5. Love the new view and super excited to be able to see the rest of the track construction. However, notice that they also turned the camera JUST enough so that you can't see the station anymore, which will also hide any potential theming they are doing there. I think they're killing two birds with one camera move.....
  6. Next section of track is being lifted into place. Wasn't sure if they would today or not.......
  7. I believe I read on here earlier that the chain actually runs inside the spine on the newer models. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
  8. I believe they are pre-assembling the next large support for the wave turn on the ground.
  9. Cleo is on the move!!! Headed over to the other side of the ditch to work on the wave turn....
  10. Now that the glare is down, it looks like they are placing the next section (2 put together) of track!!
  11. That piece is new today. There are two more already bolted together that, I would assume, will go up next.
  12. Looks like they're taking the pieces of the white crane out to toward the front..... Truck just left with the piece that was loaded.....
  13. Actually, I believe that what you are seeing is the break run in the foreground.
  14. Not for long.... Zeus is being raised right now!!!
  15. I can confirm that he is in the front parking lot helping with Clifford. Sorry for the blurry picture. Best I could do from the drop off lane with my phone.
  16. They're lifting the piece of transfer track into place!!!
  17. Having designed cranes of this type (although not this size), I can say that these cranes capacities are more about the ft-lb rating than the lifting capacity, which is what is discussed above.
  18. I believe the confusion is coming from the terminology. The past few days, the booms have been retracted, not “lowered”. I know it seems like a picky detail, but in this case, it does matter.
  19. Crane has pulled back!! First piece of track is set!!
  20. I as far as I can tell, the most common standard referenced for coaster safety (actually, all amusement rides) is ASTM F 2291, Standard Practice for Design of Amusement Rides and Devices. There is also an ISO standard, ISO 17824-1:2015, Safety of Amusement Rides and Amusement Devices -- Part 1: Design and Manufacture. These two standards provide the guidelines for ensuring rides are safe.
  21. I agree that tomorrow's clue will most likely be speed. However, I seem to remember the operators always saying that Delirium is the "fastest ride" in the park. So, maybe they go there, rather than going back to Diamondback.
  22. My guess is that, similar to what they did with the Diamondback clue, they will state what record the ET holds that Project X will break. Something along the lines of: Since it opened in 1972, the ET has been the highest point guests can reach at 275 feet. That is about to change....
