SKYHAWK
It's only 144ft more than Kingda Ka. Terminal velocity would be less than your 132mph. The terminal velocity of this skydiver is about 124 mph so it will be less than that because of more air resistance. A Skydivers head should explode if 600ft gives a massive headache. I know little about physics.... Umm... could you clarify? what means your terminal velocity? all I use is V-final and V-initial, also, you must consider, that I have all of this stuff set logically, for a 580 foot drop, so that means the needle would seriously be 700 foot long, not 600 with a 100 foot sink, but a 100 foot sink on a 700 making a 600 ish drop. GEEZ Plus, go over my math, its all there, I show my work, Picard? EDIT: There is also something you need to calculate in, the X-values, and Z-Values, I only used Y-Values, for simple reaosn, ONE PLANE in one direction!! i had 2 unknowns, Time, and Velocity. 6 seconds, and roughly 132 mph

King's Island, not able to get a B&M?
weird, it would be really nice to see a B&M at the Island, B&Ms are so smooth...

SKYHAWK
do you know how far down in the ground a Gyro Drop of 600 foot would have to go? at least 100 ft. depending on the rock bed there... Trust me, its not as easy as thought, it is a giant needle, plus, beyond that height, with a change that quick, you will have a massive headache...also, think of this... y = y0 + vy0*t + 0.5*a*t2 vy = vy0 + a*t 5=182-4.91t2 177=4.91t2 36.04=t2 6.01=t vy=9.81(6.01) vy=58.89 =193fps or... 132 Miles Per Hour... WHAT A RUSH, but WOW the stresses on that Amount of super tall Steel. 132 Miles per Hour!!! in 6 Seconds!!! Must say, as not possible as it is, I would ride it for a rush, that is, if it were a true possibility for a ride... If nobody already Knew... I can do some simple physics...

Regardless... the Voyage Will be awesome... This is a perspective from the Indian River Canoe Ride, and anybody that has visited the park might be able to see just why this picture makes me sad, there is a small vacant area near the Funnel Cake Factory, there used to be a purple rail and blue floor, a Tilt-a-Whirl was once there, being shipped off to another park/fair. Thus, my home tilt-a-whirl is gone... I'm Sad. Im also more sad that the New Tilt-a-Whirl has been cancelled, so the section will only be Gobbler Getaway and Voyage. However, there is a special Treat Popping up back there...

Voyage
I have heard that the Voyage will only optimize the trim brakes when the ride gets a bit older... there will be trims in the already noted safety brake area, just before the triple down, and thats it... Raven was intended to go no more than about 48 miles per hour-ish, and legend about 55, however, each are hitting and exceeding 60 miles per hour... its as if they have no friction in the bearings. One time I was there and I overheard a guy say "I just couldn't get any more grease to go in the bearings..." Its awesome... the speed of those two are great, just think, if Voyage went 70?

my bad, I was assuming that the computers mentioned at the rides were PLC's, Sorry. I can admit...

Legend has more tunnels... I just happen to know for a fact that Beast had a small portion of track, about 10 feet, that was removed... for 7 days to be retracked, due to many people returning to the station with bleeding noses!! Scary stuff. So if you want to feed me the bullcrap about beast being so great... and Raven and legend not, and Voyage potentially being a let down... I dont happen to give any concern to your thought on that. Have you met the coaster maintenance crews at Holiday World? Sean and Heath do an excellent Job, and Louise is currently on hand, tracking the Voyage and giving more pointers on how to do so... He has demonstrated with Raven about how to do the job right... Compare the smooth track of Raven and Legend to the gravel rought track of Racer North, Beast, SoB... you get it... stop nagging me about Voyage, just stop downtalking it, Im sure it will be excellent.

"...Was a Good Ride..." Vortex: What Airtime!? There is no Airtime on Beast!! The Voyage only has steel structure because, oh yeah, It was DESIGNED THAT WAY! And I hate to break it to you, beast does have a computer... why else would the lift proceed at different speeds? thanks sweetheart, I knew you'd understand... I dont think there are very many rides anymore that dont have a PLC of some scale... Action Zone: All Rides have a PLC, Coney: Most rides do at least have a PLC, for fact I know Monster does, Zephyr, Vortex, FoF, Action Theater, and im pretty sure Scrambler does, its was probably retrofitted in... Rivertown: IJST, yep, Beast, Yes, TRTR, DUH! Shall I continue? at Holiday World, There are several rides with PLCs... Raven, Falls, Legend, Swings, Rapids, Revolution, Howler, Doggone Trail, Liberty Launch. That is it... there are still classic rides they have that dont... Spider, Eagles, and the now defunct Tilt a Whirl. also the Scrambler... So, you can tell PLCs are everywhere, not just coasters, and a PLC doesnt make a ride bad... Raven for instance was better without the PLC, simply because you can do "doubles" but now they cant since the PLC is required to park the train... Sure PLC rides break easier, but that is also the compter's detection of vital components... such as Congo, if the sun is cooking the lens on a sensor on it, then it will go down, it is normal, it doesnt see the boat there.... PLCs are all about safety, and if it thinks it is unsafe, then it wont do it... PLCs are great! Rickster: Just Because Beast has trims and a billion blocks, dont expect that every wood coaster will or should for that matter... Most of you people ARE obsessed with beast, you like to boast its length and talk smack about all other woodies because they arent as long, a moderate sized coaster to any of you PKI folks is tiny, you think that just because it is short it isnt good. well, it may be a sexual note, but its not the size of the ship, but the motion of the ocean, and for me, I would take a nice ride on Top Gun any old day before Beast, I prefer the Gun... Well, I dont think this is getting anyone anywhere, I thought the topic of this post was The Voyage, and Since it is, We should talk about the Voyage...

Mack coaster = Avatar
Im pretty sure Avatar will be a DISK'O, with a hump in the middle... Disk'O Just think of putting two of these end to end, but make the spikes in the middle, be a hump, I wish I could find the footage of the one that is working, its really neat, not all that thrilling, but a cool concept...

Kings Island.... old school
Actually he did ride it, He simply refused to ride without the camera being tested. No he did not, he did not like to ride coasters, the actior not the charecter. If you remember they race while Mr. Brady is at the meeting, I remember seeing this epsiode with "pop up Brady" and it stated that he did not like riding rollercoasters. hmm, I thought I recalled him being there, then they had the train go around, and the camera broke, so they did it again, and he later rode... oh well...

Help put THE BEAST to sleep for the season
They do that at other parks too, one coaster gets a few final rides... however, they dont allow G.P. only workers... It is funny to leave to your car, and see 24 employees riding the Raven... in the dark...
