  1. PKI is not really a Family Park, when the kids can't do the big rides, they feel small, the bigger family rides at PKI include: TopGun, Congo Falls, WWC, Thronberrys, Beast, IJST, Racer, Zephyr... anything with a height restriction higher than 48" is not technically a family ride. Its more of a thrill park but it is currently my favorite thrill park...
  2. Renamed, Rethemed, Painted... You arent going to like this... "Fairly Odd Coaster" Themed to the Fairly-Odd Parents Cartoon, Painted ... PINK!
  3. There is a thing that Holiday World does... even if you are the first rider of the day, you might not even be on the ride sometimes, until the train is over 1/2 full... its strange I know, but at least this way, if the rails are cold, then it will make it over the hills. I remember seeing a full train of associates... Red Yellow and Blue uniformed people, I think they even had their nametags on too!! --- She didnt refer to herself in 3rd person, Mike was typing...
  4. Hey, I wore "The Beast" Hoodie to the Kentucky Rumbler Announcement, lol, I felt so low, Wearing "overrated" on me, and at a ride that might be very good, but to a small teeny tiny park... You know where I will be, the Thanksgiving Section, in line, 3 stories up in the air + A/C, waiting for none other than... The Voyage Roller Coaster, 1st train of people rolls out at 10:02, the time it takes to get the riders seated and ready...
  5. no these are 3 different types Congo: Shoot the Chutes Thornberrys: Flume WWC: River Rapids however, before Thornberrys, there was another flume, it was redone with thornberrys, so there is 2, and the third would be, you guessed it, KCKC
  6. The name is... The KENTUCKY RUMBLER!! and have you ever been on a Wild Mouse?? I have, and POV'ed it... but it is legal, the director of Rides and Maintenance said it was cool... so... Click here to watch POV of Beech Bend's Wild Mouse! Sorry, it may take a while to load on Dial Up
  7. Oh I did that, that was my 4th ride on Beast, it was ok... but it was last year...
  8. One time at Raven, the moon came out, at about 3:00 Just say no to crack... and it was a heavy man... LOL
  9. ok, so you rode Raven, one or two different years? the restraints are different... OK, its come time to view more construction... Yep, Phase "1" Continues... ...The second ascent is being made NOW!! Its going to drop 107 foot, so about 110 foot tall... Notice, 154 foot down, then only 107 up.... about 70% height, AIRTIME!! I cant wait!!
  10. Makes no sense!!
  11. It will have a small portion of safety brakes yes, out before the Triple-Down Feature... However, without it, the hills following that would be super painful from the g-forces alone!!
  12. ::Gigantic sigh:: you people are OBSESSED with Beast, It has brakes down the first drop, over the first hill, and in that small brake shed, its dissapointing, then when it gets going fast, you slow it down with another lift hill, where you simply wait, the excitement is lost there, there is more anticipation, but lord! I am so angry with Beast, it lets me down everytime... I know what to expect, but it just doesnt even live up to that!! I've Been on SoB too... and I HATED IT!! But this one isnt being done by a Steel Coaster Manufacturer... its by a Wood Company!!
  13. We're Climing a Stairway to Heaven!!
  14. what a thoughtful quote...
  15. Good Find, that took me a while to see it, since I have only ridden it maybe 7 times... but I do see it!!
  16. occurring at the same time was... He almost missed his spiel.
  17. Right, but the programs we use are no where near the capability of the ones used by Gravity Group... they use a much more sophisticated program more like CAD, and it costs a lot of money to obtain a user liscence for it. However for their presentations, this is what they use. I was saying that bout the actual worksite because without the hill, Voyage would be a Shivering Timbers + Boulder Dash weirdness, as in there would be no land level change, but since the terraformer can slope us the correct hill, you can see the final product... AWESOME The program is not, repeat not an actual program to CREATE Roller Coasters, but however to present simulations.
  18. Seriously, the Holiblog had a post about it!! Thursday, July 14, 2005 "No Limits" There's been no limit to the number of emails I've received asking if the ride simulation for The Voyage was created with the No Limits roller coaster ride-simulation game. And--if so--if we could please-please-please provide our files for their personal use? Yes, this is a creation of No Limits. But they had to provide us with a customized version 'cause The Voyage is just that long. When I say "us," I should clarify I'm referring to our friends at The Gravity Group, who designed The Voyage. (Wouldn't want anyone to think it was anything I personally created! Heck, I had to Google "no limits" to find out what exactly it was!) ~Holiblog
  19. Ride the only good Giant HUSS there is, Delirium is of major pain now... It hurt my friends spine... ouch.
  20. Nope, Americana still has what I would consider the most AMAZING log flume in the entire world. That and splash mountain. Holiday world also has a log flume. Frightful Falls at Holiday World is probably one of the only Log Flumes I have been on that only the Lift and Chute aren't natural looking, should I show in pictures? "Artificial" Alton Towers Notice that this is somewhat how Wild Thornberrys looks like, it is a prefabricated trough placed with supports, Frightful Falls is not like this, rather it has a concrete trough all throughout the underground tunnel and all the way to the lift. the lift and chute are the only portions that were "Pre-Fab" This ride could actually be infinitely many reconfigured... since it is only concrete.
  21. The Voyage was made with a customized area on No Limits, There is no Download for it, Gravity Group would release it, but since the boundarys for the ride are extremely long, it wouldnt be easy to do, without having to download a large patch for the simulator and editor... Did I mention that Gravity Group made the NO LIMITS Simulation for it? funny eh? we common Coaster Enthusiasts are using the same program as the big dogs! I think they also have a much better TerraFormer, one that will let you input actual topography to let you work with a true worksite. ex. VoyageRavine, RavensWood, Legend's Lair.
  22. There is a small program that I have that will "smooth" your track, it makes it ride-able. It can move a lot of stuff, so be careful, however it smooths it out the more you do it.
  23. the best 3 seconds of my saturday was the eXtreme Airtime on Vortex!!
  24. I did... didnt you read the post a long time ago? I invited EVERYONE to join us... lol
