  1. I think there are 6 flags over the Holiday World Admission Building
  2. roughly 24 i think, there are about that many on Legend, then again, it wont be as long as legend's predrop.
  3. ...getting ready to order the flags that will fly up above the top of the lifthill!
  4. Im sure it could, but it wouldnt be as smooth, as its design is for steel structure. this intention of the design is for a rigid structure, the wood would cause more sway, the designs are actually very different, so if the wood on legend were replaced with steel, then the ride would suck because the ride would not shift as it is intended, it all has to do with the intention. there is a fair balance of rigid and nonrigid portions to a wooden coaster, with voyage, there are more rigid pieces.
  5. Much like Nemo, I am also a Pilot-- No these pictures are from Holiday World's website, if you do not link them properly, by rehosting them, then you cannot see the progress as I show, Nemo posted one long ago and it refreshes with the camera. The higher quality shots are the ones I get when I visit Santa Claus. and if you are referring to the stuff for the dark ride, they are directly from the holiblog.
  6. only basic stuff is in, the most complex I think is maybe the vents on the station already.
  7. the Station is now finally taking its shape... I believe there is some ventalation equipmet installed already, as arethe trusses for the roof, the roof will cover the Voyage Station soon. maybe as soon as a week, or even a few days! Look!
  8. Get ready, the station is taking shape! The north turnaround portion is being strucurally built now, that and the buildings such as the Gobbler Getaway, and Plymouth Rock Cafe are now in the initial stages of being built.
  9. the whole thought being the size of loopd doesnt change is true, however, they are far more advanced than you think, each loop is elevated to the appropriate height, meaning, that slight elevation difference in Vortex's loops, was carefully planned, if they were the same, then the second would experience hang time, or if the rails are cold, not even proceed past it.
  10. BTW, Flight Plan was a pretty good movie.
  11. Score a point for Irony
  12. as previously stated, if you think racer is out of life, think again... racer is only breahing its 34 year old mark. There is plenty of life left in it, and Beastie for that matter, whether the track be Flanged Stop Bar system, or a Stop wheel system, they are totally fine to run and they are in great condition, just keep riding them and they wont go anywhere, and if people tell you that wooden coasters can't last all that long, then tell them of those awesome wooden coasters that last for years and years, such as the ones built in the 20s that were relocated, and those in the 50s, steel was a fairly new concept, possibly considered still of conceptual designing. Wood has conceptual designs as well, but the safety systems are tried and true. Wood coasters to not "shake" they sway to alleviate teh forces, Steel does not sway, it is brittle, if IT swayed, then it would snap. Wood coasters can (IMHO) outlive their Steel counterparts... and sure Steel saves space for structure, and has way more possibilities, wood has that classic fun feeling that everyone can enjoy. Never ever say Racer is a Waste of Space, that makes me very very upset when you say "its lived its life" Haven't your parents lived their life, they dont make them like that anymore... they were around since about the time of or before The Racer was built. and as most Park fans know, Coasters have souls... dont screw with them.
  13. Vortex Needs, for people to stop down talking it, and for them to leave it alone. Vortex needs... TLC
  14. Jumping Star, Kite Flyer, and a customized Skater including a camel hump. I have been on all, not exactly the same as Avatar will be, but Ive been on a Rock-n-Tug, Ive been on Kite Flyers at carnivals, and I rode the Jumping Stars at SFKK, and BB
  15. Now the final turn for Voyage, including the last tunnel is complete, the remaining missing structural areas include the neck between the station and lift, simply to get to Bahari River as it is being dug and constructed at this time. The land in Thanksgiving is being built up, this will lay the groundwork for the Gobbler Getaway, which has some finalized artwork... Care to see? I think the colors are a bit "trippy" but its not like I hadn't seen them before... SDATHC, SDATSS This one is without the "make-up" This is more like it, she encourages good behavior while explaining the rules to the kids and adults. Again, Trippy Colors... but a cheesy name to a town... lol Scarecrow... ...ZOOM! 102 days until Voyage and Gobbler Getaway get going in Thanksgiving... only at Holiday World.
  16. henrey you said it perfectly! the 4D design must of been improved DRASTICLY for any park to even consider it. I mean, come on. I love the concept, just the fact that there are two sets of rails to ride on at one time, I want to ride one, even if it does suck, i will be happy to ride it, for the shear fact that it has a unique ride.
  17. and again, to review, Italian Job is smoothly banked and properly banked so a child of 4 ft can ride. the ride was designed that way. Flight of Fear was designed to be quite intense, (Level 5 Ride), and therefore a child of 48 inches wouldnt be able to upright their head in the drum as someone of 54 inches would. there are quick drops and changes in direction, thus why FoF is 54, and the majority of IJST isnt so intense, there is one part that gets my stomach a little, the part just after the subway and before the helicopter zone. FoF rattles me, but I love it.
  18. They've already built some wood coasters since Denise joined the team. J2 at Clementon Lake, Avalanche up in the Wisconsin Dells, the junior wood coaster at Cypress Gardens, Timberhawk at Enchanted Village and one in Europe. So I would say the wood coaster division has been the most successful part of their business over the last several years. For what its worth, I rode Avalanche up in the Dells. It was typically CCI.....insane speeds, ejector air, totally out of control. I only hope they don't BUILD their rides like CCI, which almost always required a complete retracking and beefing up after the first season. dude, cci wasn't ALL bad... Legend... Raven...
  19. i think it was both bobby and i that did it, he had 3 firsts that day... Delirium, FoF, TRTR
  20. Dude... that would be funny... then again, some movies arent meant to be Attractions... Mean Girls... Definitely a Paramount Movie
  21. someone do some punching for me, its not Zamprela, Zamperla... dang... LOL, no harm...
