  2. I know its a fantastic Ride, I want it to stay, so I voted STAY, but I really feel in the back of my mind that it will be rethemed to the MTV Soundwave or something like that, I needs to have a cool theme... Lets try to keep it as is!
  3. http://www.holidayworld.com/holiblog/holiblog.html Opens May 6, Remember that! There isnt a train on the lift anymore, so Its probably back home...
  4. How about this... the ride was closed for the day, indefinitely.
  5. Openning Weekend Jitters, it happens... Wait a week and try again. They openned pretty early, not quite as early as Dollywood, but hey.
  6. Only person on the entire train Coveted Thing really, its called a Zen Ride, in Coaster-Nerd Speak... its good-luck for the whole season (or offseason if late in the summer/fall)
  7. does anyone have a photo of the new Paint Job?
  8. Well, zero so far, I might be to PKI in May, mid may
  9. ROFL
  10. Let the Thunder Roll!
  11. Yeah! With that logic we should just have it raised to $20 even. That way it's $5/person for those same 4 people. you know what i mean, its easier to split it as 2.50 than 2.25
  12. Ha ha, Storms... LOL I enjoyed my SUNNY and 80* at Dollywood... ROFL
  13. BTW, the area changes about every 3 hours... it starts to look visibly different all the time... Gobbler is en route from Florida Now.
  14. Turned out to be a million times better than expected!
  15. BTW, pictures are midway through Page 3...
  16. Legend Rider's Excursion to Dollywood, April 1, 2006 You have to look at the pictures, You will love it if you visit!
  17. also closing due to the fact of SNOW coming later in the day, Delirium in that weather was awesomely cold!
  18. Are we basing on a "you can't pick one already named" I hope so, makes it more fun... I pick Dollywood in Pideon Forge, TN So Friendly, sure they arent as clean, but they have really neat theming, another problem i have is that they extend to the back of the park in a hook fashion, but there is this big waste of land in the middle. Thunderhead was amazing, and I love Daredevil Falls, Blazing Fury, and Tennessee Tornado (pronounced Tornaydah) Another unique thing was the age of the ride operators, about 99% of them were over teh age of 50, it was so neat, and it made for some much friendlier Ride operators, no moody teens to get hormonal... Let the Thunder Roll! The food was something out of this world, and they offer not 1, 2, 3, or even 4 trams, but they have 7 trams, one of which is 6 or 7 cars long! Oh yeah, and the fact that Dollywood is expanding, doesnt hurt. OMG, Excellent Shows!
  19. This will be easier to split cots for 4 people now.
  20. Indeed correct, but Holiday World came out with it first, and just havent changed it, there are actually people who still dont know about Toro, and for some people, they might not ever.
  21. Truth be told, it has been reported that due to higher attention to Gobbler Getaway and the Voyage, Plymouth Rock Cafe may not open until Late June or Early July, for one, it hasn't even broken ground. also, see how many things you can see that have changed since the plans... View any renderings, maps, descriptions etc. The Voyage - Facts The world's top "air-time" wooden coaster Air-time of 24.2 seconds Track length: 6,442 feet (1.2 miles) Maximum speed: 67.4 mph Five underground tunnels 173 feet tall, with drops of 154, 107 and 100 feet Three 28-passenger PTC trains 2 min., 45 sec. ride time Eight underground traverses Three 90-degree extreme banked turns First drop's angle of descent a U.S. record: 66 degrees Among the world's top three longest and fastest wooden coasters __________ I'll go ahead and point one out for you: And uh, they have revised this since Toro, but whatever, I guess its about the release date. I think though that beyond 60, you might not tell too much of difference until you are pretty much vertical.
  22. This ride will be Loud, just giving you a heads up... you could hear it across the Country Fair area of Dollywood, its just unbearable, it sounds like a crazy Air compressor, LOUD LOUD LOUD.
  23. hybrid is defined as a "cross" meaning even Gemini a steel coaster with Wooden Supports will be placed on a similar slate with Hades and The Voyage, Wood Coasters with Steel Support, ge generalize with WOOD v. STEEL, but there is a grey area, the Hybrid Category, Voyage, Villain, Tsunami (aka J2), Hades, are all Hybrid Woodies.
  24. 3.. 2.. 1.. ::applause:: I thoroughly enjoy looking at this coaster, even if I cannot ride it until later in may, I will enjoy it even before I ride!
  25. why is this topic about you? oh wait, thats right, its not, Its about the Voyage, the Giant Wooden Roller Coaster at Holiday World Themed to Thanksgiving and the Voyage of the Mayflower... The Original Out-and-back Ride!
