  1. I actually might have been working Beast that night. That night is the reason I am switching to Beast next year!
  2. BEST PKI MOMENT: Probably the day it rained throughout my entire shift, but stopped just as my shift ended so I was able to go around the park and ride rides with very little crowd, and it didn't rain again the rest of the day! WORST PKI MOMENT: My first Fear Fest AD shift. AD means All Day, and boy do they mean it. By the end of Fear Fest, I was ready to go home, drop onto my bed, and sleep that day off. Of course, the second FF AD wasn't as bad, so I guess I am already getting used to AD with a midnight closing. HONORABLE MENTION: The robo-coaster. I never did get to ride it, which was a bummer, but it looked sweet, and it gave me some cool techno music to listen to while running Zephyr!
  3. Yes, we all feel sad about the park being closed. At least we have BB pics to keep us sane until 04. That and RCT2, NL, HR, and UR (All of which are really awesome games). "If you can name more than one coaster simulation game, you might be a coaster freak." -Me ripping off red neck jokes
  4. Wonderpark! Yay! That dragon coaster is satan though! They put their DDR machine right next to it, so when the coaster is running, you can't hear the music! What great planning! Yeah, most people here are gonna say PKI for most visited park.
  5. Roller Coasters Best: Scream! @ SFMM Worst: X @ SFMM Worst New Coaster: None of the 3 parks I went to this season had a new coaster! Coaster thats not all that bad: Jaguar! @ KBF Coaster that is THAT BAD: Superman: The Escape @ SFMM Most Improved coaster: recaR PKI Flats Best Flat: Hammerhead (Soon to be RIP) @ KBF Worst Flat: Even though it's not that bad, compared to the others its SR&R @ PKI Most and Least Most Ridden: FoF (At least 50 times) @ PKI Least ridden:Everything at SFMM except Scream, Perilous Plunge and Hammerhead @ KBF Most visted park: PKI Nearly every day Best and worse Parks Best Park: Tie between PKI & KBF Worst Park: SFMM Food Best new food in park: Subway @ PKI Worst food ever: SFMM Other Worst experence of year: X @ SFMM, roughest steel I've ever been on Ride that made me think of getting a new hobby: X Ride that scared the S*it out of me the most: Hammerhead @ KBF Ride Most likely to cause injury or death: X @ SFMM Dumbass of the year: Ride Op at Xcel @ KBF for giving out info on Silver Bullet (new coaster for 2005) 2 months before details were announced. Best set of Flyers: PKI (Only one I've been on!) Worst set: See above Best Water ride: Didn't go on any! Worst water park ride: See above Best thunderstrom: Don't know date, but stormed all day while working, cleared up after shift and rode rides with no crowd! Best Night ride: Midnight ride on Beast, very VERY foggy, creepy, and SWEET!
  6. Tom, sad thing is, I can see that being me in 2 years, lol. Last year was my first season at PKI as an employee, and I'm getting addicted too. War stories are so much fun, my fav is when a guest thouht there were 10 inches in a foot ("The height restriction is 48 inches." Woman: "Oh, I don't think my kid is 4'8''.") Oh, and I check the site about 2 times a day.
  7. Prolly FoF. I miss that ride so much, it is truely my fav ride in the park.
  8. Merry Christmas all! And just as a friendly reminder, my b-day is in 6 days! Yup, 1/1! Now WHAT ARE YOU GONNA GET ME??? lol I hope everyones C-mas was a good one, mine kinda sucked, but im not one to whine about it.
  9. 1) Remember, that kids area brings in alot of people by itself, so its not craptacular. B ) TTD is tall and fast, oooooh, so creative! 3) Friendlier workers? I was at CP 2 days in 2000 (trying to make another trip there in 2004) and I only remember 1 really friendly employee. 1 out of 2 full day visits? Not gonna cut it. D) The only thing I agree with you in that statement is the fact that PKI needs a new steel coaster. Let's face it peeps, Reptar didn't cut it for us big'uns, lol.
  10. I agree with Boobkinos on what he said. We don't need a massive coaster every year to get people coming in, but I do know some ACE people who are thinking about not buying a PKI pass for 2004 because of the drought of new coasters. I think Deli was a great addition to the park. On themeparkcritic.com its rated the best ride in PKI and is also rated 17th in the country! If we do get a new CREATIVE ride (unlike TTD), we should knock CP out of the top seasonal spot because we will get our regular returners coming back, along with alot of ACErs.
  11. I am 1337 certified, and I will now translate for those on this forum that do not speak 1337. "Then PKI will build the giga after they tear down Beast? Yes!" (w00t doesn't have an english translation, its something you say when happy, like "Yes!" or "All right!") I do hope they do something special for the anniversary. I like the banners and signs in the station they added for the 20th. Maybe an update to the sign with more tidbits and factoids? I dunno, I just hope they don't let it go by without doing anything.
  12. We actually got 2nd in our category. All of the parks above CP are open all year round, which is why they always get the top attendance. CP and PKI are the top 2 seasonal parks in the country!
  13. This is kinda like the other 2005 poll, except this one is of what you WANT at PKI, not what you think PKI will get in 2005. I also have more specific types of rides (companies) and other non-coaster things. I would like to see either a 1. B&M Floorless 2. B&M Flyer or 3. B&M Deuling Coaster (In that order). I know, all B&M. But what can I say? Scream! and Dueling Dragons made me a B&M fan!
  14. Yeah, I thought the rule was we can tell/show people they would already know/see as a guest and anything we learn as an employee is secret unltil released to the public. The funnel is out in the open, and the pics would be taken in an area any person can take them from. Heck, you can even see the funnel from the highway! I know AZ Kinda Guy is being on the safe side, and I should know. But I mean, its public knowledge what Taz is, and the fact that the pics would be taken in an area anyone can go into means it should be OK. I'm not taking pics of the funnel. We have other people for that (I've already seen pics taken the day I saw the funnel, even pics of things I didn't see from the quick look at it I had).
  15. I got there kinda early, so I didn't see you. I was temped to bring a camera, but was too lazy to get one.
  16. I was at the park today, and saw that the paneling on Taz is being put onto the funnel portion of the ride. I didn't have my camera, so if anyone lives near PKI and has a camera handy, snap some pics of the paneling!
  17. Yay for FoF! The article looks good, keep up the work!
  18. I can't believe you don't have B&M in there! Floorless coasters are awesome!!!
  19. Heck, PKI even showed up in my math book for crying out loud! A whole question is dedicated to the first hill of The Beast! PKI is definatly the most famous P Park. I'll scan the question eventually.
  20. I think the results can be best summed up with something my uncle from St. Louis said about PKI while visiting, "Now I know why people come from so far just to visit the park, it's alot better than most other parks, at least those I've been to."
  21. It will attract more people for at least 2-3 years. It all depends on how they upkeep the new area. If they drop things like chairside waiters and theming, then it will be like WW, but for the next few years it will be a big person getter.
  22. That's not something I had heard. The newest Aarow I had ridden was X, so thats what I was basing it on. Well maybe S&S can use these new designs to their advantage.
  23. I'm actually glad. I'm getting somewhat sick of Arrows. PKI has enough of them, and I wish PKI would build other types more. Preferably B&M. I rode X this summer (a 3 hour wait by 10:15 (they open at 10). I feel it is the most overrated ride ever. Way too rough, and I couldn't even enjoy it. I like the 4D design, but unless they just fix the problems like roughness, the idea is ruined. I hope S&S will improve on Aarow's designs. Their rides have always been too rough, and if I want a rough ride I'll ride a woodie, not a steel. Steel rides are to be smooth, like B&M. The only Arrow I really like is Adventure Express, because its supposed to be rough and have an out of control. My last remark: I'm glad Arrow is having some changes, they need them. I've never been on an S&S ride, so I don't know how those are, but hopefully they're good.
  24. A whole lotta RCT2. I just completed a park themed around the Apocalypse, really sweet park. I mean, who cant love a park whos top coasters have names like Last Judgement, Volcano, and Hell Freezes Over? Yeah, off season sucks, but its time for TX, my other home away from home.
  25. I didn't say sponsorship was a bad thing, I know it's very good. I am fine with sponsorship, as long as they don't completely overdo it. On Top Gun there are several places where their logo is shown. Right at the front of the line, on that giant billboard with the jets on it, heck, even on every single car! Not to mention when the train stops an intercom says, "Gillette hopes you enjoyed the ride". Since when do military aircraft carriers say a company welcomes you back? They've taken away the theming and replaced it with ads. I'm fine with all of the ads in Antiques, but thats because the origional things are still there. The point of Tiques is to look at all of the trees, ponds, flowers, and other greenery there, and the greenery is still there. Adding ads is fine, just don't replace theming with ads.
