Countdown to Opening Day
Guys, it was a joke... I've never heard of any rumors saying anything about a change of opening day... I was just poking fun at all of the rumor threads that go around here, especially in the off-season. I even said "just kidding

Countdown to Opening Day
I heard rumors that, because they stayed open for Winterfest, they will not be opening the park 'til mid-May. *ducks for cover* Just kidding

**New Product: Kings Island-opoly!
Here's hoping Kings Island-opoly is still around next season! I want one really bad, but am not sure if I'll be able to attend the 'Fest this year.

Beastbuzz 2006 Date Announced
I'm sure it is. I'm going to try my hardest to attend next year! Putz or no Putz. Can't let one crab spoil the fun.

Beastbuzz 2006 Date Announced
Putz... As in Jeff, the guy that runs pointbuzz, as well as coasterbuzz? If so, I really don't like the guy. Seems like an on the forums at Pointbuzz. Seems okay on Coasterbuzz, but for some reason on pointbuzz, he comes across as an

Carowinds' Winterfest
They're using the Carolina Skytower or whatever it's called... ...their knock-off of the Eiffel Tower. (just kidding...it's their observation deck) Link: http://www.carowinds.com/attractions/detail.cfm?ai_id=36

Carowinds' Winterfest
Winterfest at Carowinds doesn't seem to be as 'magical' as what I've seen from pictures of ours. They had a media event on Tuesday, as well. One of the Carowinds fansite members took pictures, and it just doesn't look so magical. See for yourself: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/maxservo65/a...ir=6340&.src=ph Also notice their Holiday Illuminations show: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/maxservo65/d...re2.jpg&.src=ph PKI's is in a much better location...and again, seems more magical.

Season Pass Holiday Sale
So, the funny thing is... This is the first ever email, letter, or phone call I've gotten from PKI all year regarding anything to do with my season pass. I'm not too upset or anything, seeings how I can always come here for info, but it was a bit odd to never get the various mailers other gold pass members got.

Beastbuzz 2006 Date Announced

PKI changed website
I'm really liking it. The links for upcoming events actually work in Firefox now. Plus, I like change...and I've been looking at the same pki.com for the whole season now, so I was ready.

Festhaus
I'm a little late to get in on this, but I forgot about this topic... When I mentioned the "back room", I was making a joke, hence the smiley with a tounge sticking out after my comment.

rumor
While I wouldn't put too much faith in what the person said, for various reasons stated above, it would sort of make sense: PKI is installing heavily themed rides and attractions lately (BB, IJ, NU, etc.), which may continue for a few more years. After that 'phase', the park may move to installing more thrill rides to compete with Cedar Point for a few years. Maybe not ten, maybe not 5...I'm sure those timetables aren't set in stone... ...I also wouldn't call the installation of said attractions 'competition' but rather simply molding the park towards the various aspects of CP and Universal. I'm not saying the rumor is true, because it is just that: a rumor...I'm just saying, it would make sense for the park to move to this sort of phased style of attraction installation.

Fearfest sucked this year
...older they are, they crabbier they are. After reading the first, oh....five or ten sentences of your original post, I guessed you were a season passholder. I've noticed about 75% of the season passholders expect perfection, and the park to revolve around them. I'm a passholder...an eighteen year-old passholder at that, and do not act like a spoiled thirteen year-old as others do. (I stood in line to process my pass this past April, and half of the people in line freaked out at the fact that they had to fill out a paper to renew their pass...I was amazed, adults were acting more immature than sixth graders) The park has to make an attraction fit thousands upon thousands of people. They ARE NOT...***I repeat***...ARE NOT going to make everyone happy. Be happy you have such a great park nearby. I've got to drive two hours to get to the park nearest me (PKI). There's sooo much more I could go on about, but I will spare you. Just please, do us all a favor and give it up! The park made thousands of people happy (and terrified) these past few weekends...you are ONE guest. The world doesn't revolve around you. edit: One more thing, since I just read your second post. Featfest WAS open on Fridays this year, if you had cared to check. If you would've went on a Friday, you also would have found the park to be a lot more empty, giving you more time to go through more of these "awful" haunts, so that we could have the pleasure of reading your complaints about them here on PKIC. Regarding Winterfest, maybe you should visit pki.com/winterfest or even check the other multiple Winterfest threads on this site. All of these resources list the attractions that will be open...You say you visited, and liked, Winterfest in previous years. This year's Winterfest will be run in a similar fashion, with a few other extras. Read up on the event before you bash it. You may also recall Fearfest was an extra charge (even for passholders) back when it first started. The moral of the story of the past two issues I brought up: RESEARCH before you whine. And finally: Hahahahahaha. That officially made my day. Good laugh. Thanks for that.

Festhaus
The Festhaus has many purposes..and for that reason, it remains dimly lit. (Have you seen the "back room"?)

PKI Newsletter #16
You went up to Canada just to make an avatar? That's dedication. And because I'm sure people won't take that comment as a joke...it's time for the disclaimer: The preceeding was a joke, for those who are too thick to get it. I know Nemo didn't go to Wonderland to make an avatar.
-
PKI Newsletter #16
Good newsletter, and yes...very sad. ...and Nemo, I just spent five minutes straight looking at your avatar laughing my off! Wouldn't be hilarious to see infinite trains launched through the billboard? ...all day long! That'd be nuts to see the crew dispatch all those trains, one right after the other. Maybe it's just me, but I find the avatar pretty flippin' funny.

TR: 10/29, Short Visit
That makes me cry Delirium has been my favorite ride in existance. Hopefully some TLC this winter will get it back to normal for next year. As for TR:TR, I like the ride, but the cycle is a bit too short for my liking. I dunno, if I go this Saturday night, I'll see what I can do...and possibly stop by.
-
TR: 10/29, Short Visit
Just kidding. In all seriousness, I may be at the park on 10/29 to take in a couple haunts, since I didn't really get a chance to do so on the 15th due to crowds. It looks like a chance of rain, and cold temps Saturday night, and I'll be heading up back home to Indy from Florida this Saturday, and just might be able to talk the parents into a slight detour so that I can get a couple haunts in. It's hard to say if this will really happen, but if it does, my parents won't go in the park with me, which is what brought me here. Is anyone planning on visiting this Saturday evening? If so, and you're interested in hanging out with me for an hour or so to visit a couple haunts (probably won't ride anything...maybe Delirium if there's time)...just let me know. Like I said, nothing is set in stone...I'm just throwing it out there now, so that I may have someone to hang out with in the event that I do go.

Keton Kove
This is kind of off-topic, but I noticed on CP's White Water Landing page, they list the manufacturer as Arrow Huss, Inc. (currently Arrow Dynamics, Inc., Clearfield, Utah). Arrow and Huss used to be part of the same company back in '82??? I never knew that.
