Truthfully I think they should have left antique cars where they were and put IJ between The Racer north and Flight of Fear. As far as the next two years i have a small idea on whats going on. For a new ride everyone i see is talking about adding to Action Zone but ill say i think the addition for 09 you all are on the wrong side of the park. Im really in hopes that we get merry oldies cars from GL. Really as far as next year i havent herd much but i do know they are taken The Racers back old school. Can anyone guess what i mean? Like how it was when it first opened..

Pardon me if i missed anyting but i dont keep up on this site very well. Being at the park i can tell you that there are three six car villain trains are at Kings Island back where the cobra track used to sit. Thats the track down the road from Firehawk not by SOB. I have a few pics but not on digital sorry. There is also one six car raging wolf bobs train there as well (im going to miss that lil woody). As far as SOB getting a third train i wouldnt count on it. I would have a feeling that a train would get stopped in the block brakes EVERY time. But i could see them adding a 7th car to the train (with raging wolf bobs cars that is). As far as what the villain trains may be used for think of this... Racer has a total of four trains with five cars each. so thats 20 cars total. Villain had three six car trains which would be 18. So unless they are going to run 3 racer trains with 5 cars and one train with 3 which i would think a chance in H*** that would happen you can guess where they may end up. Its not a problem of maken a train run backwards. I however think they may make the ride more enjoyable but whoes to say anything at this point... sometimes i feel im the only one still pulling for CF. May be pulling 2000 pounds of s*** up hill with a 10 pound test string but im pullen... What they may sell Great America to the 49ers to make a parking lot for their new stadium.. wheres my knife lol

Thanks for the link let me know if you find anywhere that has pics of the rides being taken out. I know we dont have any say in the fait of the woodys there (big dipper mainly) but im hopen to at least get pictures of her comming to the ground. Its like a part of history comming to the ground and i want pics.. july 2007 geagua lake.....

Does anyone have any pictures of the park in its hay day? What about pictures of the parks rides being removed? Ive been looking around and i know someone is taken picturs of the park and its rides comen down. I am glad i got to take a trip up there over the summer but hate to think that i didnt bother to take a camera with me couze the hassle. Guess we all do dumb things andy

Ok they have so much land why rip out old to build new? thats just stuped... If we have older rides that are still running like champs why get rid of them. Your talken about getting rid of two rides to put in one. Did you know that KI could be three thats 3 times larger than Cedar Point and NEVER have to rip out another ride? Get rid of drop zone.. HAHAHA now ive herd it all p.s. why remove a ride couze it uses a lot of power. Thats like cutting the ac off your house couze it uses too much power. Becides im sure there are other rides that use far more power than trtr

I know some will agree that the first year for fearfest was the best. WEBN really knows how to get things done the rite way. If you remember that was the year they had a hanuted house in the top of the tower. They also had huge army trucks and large tents set up under the tower with a maze in it. Not like it is now in the maze located in the building by the saw shed. If you dont know where thats at the red building left of the F.O.F. que. That maze is more of a walk thru haunted house thats called a maze. Anyway, there was so much smoke and so meny people in the maze under the tower that you were getting passed by people going both directions. The Spooks working in the maze as you tryed to find your way out would try to help you find your way. Sometimes they would tell you the rite way to go and something they would tell you the wrong way. And if they told you the rite way and you didnt believe them when they saw you again they would follow you around laughing at you. So as for the grassy area next to FX theatre its been there forever. Thats where they shoot the frieworks off every nite. They did use the area behind Firehawk when they did nights of fire. They cleared the area incase something goes wrong with the fireworks show that it hopefully wont burn the woods down or create another event like idora park. For thoes that dont know that park it was a park in youngstown ohio that burnt some long time ago. I herd a piece of equipment overheated and caught fire which cought some leaves and well long story short theres no more park there. The trains are standard 4 person 6 car trains made by Gerstlauer. They have been running it off and on for the past few days. The paint will be red on red and blue on blue. They dont have any logo on the front car yet. If you dont believe me i dont care hell The Racers dont even have a logo on the train any more. From what ive herd the light weight trains are acually running faster than the old trains. Ive also herd they arent as loud going up the lift but ive yet to hear it run but have seen it. They are looking to add the second train soon but thats all im going to say. andrew i also have pictures of the loop b4 they removed it from the ride. Ive also got a few of them while they were cutting it down. I may post them in the future but they are standard pictures couze i have not gotten one of them fancy digital cameras yet. lol... end of transmission P.S. guess i was wrong about the logo on sob. Its been a few days since ive been out to the ride. It acually looks really good. They will have a blue train painted the same way as the red.

See some of you say that old rides aren’t any fun and we need to get new rides in that are. So what are you sayen everything has to be top thrill? Look at how many ground rides Cedar Point has that are fun as crap to ride. Come to think of it don’t they have like three sets of cars exactly like antique cars? And im sorry but not everything new is thrilling. The first time all we mechanics rode IJ we were done with it. With antique cars it was like 6 minutes of tryen to run the car off the rail even tho you knew you couldn’t, or shofering your girlfriend around. Andrew P.S. If you asked me the perfect place for IJ would have been between racers and Flight of Fear.

Ok so everyone here knows they still have the antique cars at the park. Everyone I know is in hopes they get put back in the near future. Problem! Upper management is unsure where to put the cars if they do get put back in. The Antique cars have a very large turning radius and can not take very steep hills. Anyone have any suggestions?
