No same custom supporter, but the friction will be improved. (of course, I assume that you were making a NL reference. At least that's what I got out of it.)

For me being a cautious person, seatbelts on Vortex would make me feel A LOT better when I get on it. I mean, I ride the coaster reguraly, but they'd just make me feel more safe.

This is what I think would be cool to see. I don't know with g's and speed if it would be possible, but I think it would be cool. And of course, the area where the loop was would be a tunnel.

^They make my family seem normal as well...until we look at the part of the family out in Missouri.

So, I am assuming that they will be swapping with somebody who has an extreme fear of heights?

How would you feel about a KIC newsletter?
tubaman replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
I'd like one, so count me in! -
I think the fact that the ride has already been built may speed up some of the process, like testing perhaps, but I really can't confirm any of that. It's just what I think.

Carowinds Employees Hurt Testing Ride
tubaman replied to PKIVortex's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I was wondering about that myself. To me, it would seem like a sensible safety feature to only let the restraint systems work in the station by computer, and manually on the coarse of the ride. -
^I remember seeing that on one of those "Most Amazing Video" shows. At the time, seeing it made me worry about riding any looping coaster. But last year, I got on that ride and it was just fine. Also, something I didn't know until after riding it, the Iron Wolf at SFGAm was used in Richie Rich. Almost makes the pain of riding it worth it, almost.

I wonder if this could delay anything on Firehawk, as in, if it were a problem in design and needed to be fixed. -
Kings Islands terrain needs to be taken advantage of. (Yes, I know, The Beast does a very good job) But if I'm not mistaken, the park owns a lot of hilly land, correct? Think of the possibilities. Build a coaster, it doesn't have to be very high, just a big drop into a valley or something. Or, a low-speed launch, over a small airtime hill, and then into a big drop.

When I'm entering the park, I really pay no attention to what's going on. I'll be making a game plan to ride the most coasters that I can, usually Beastie or Beast first. When I walk into a Disney park, I'm usually swept up in the euphoria of magicalness. (Yes, I do think WDW is greatest thing since sliced bread, and that is how I feel about KI as well.) Looking at the scenery, gardens, and whatever else is there to be seen. The rides are the second thought in my head.

You Wanna See The Brady Bunch at Kings Island?
tubaman replied to DeLorean Rider's topic in Kings Island
I think the best actor in the entire episode was the guy at the lost and found. Thanks for posting! -
I guess it is because I haven't been on a ride that I remember (other than Racer/recaR) with dual loading stations, but... The idea of dual loading stations just makes me happy.

^Tuba players are known for wanting to, or doing crazy things. Take the tuba closet at my school for example. We "collect" items for the closet from just about anywhere. Some items include a plastic toy pic, that was found in the hallway, expired license plates (that were aquired legally, from my cousins old car), signs from around the school, an elevator light cover, well, the list goes on and on. But I think it gives you an idea.

I WANT A Firehawk SHIRT, AND I WANT IT NOW! But anyways...It's really starting to come together nicely. Hopefully I'll get a chance to ride it this year.

Man Built Own Coaster In Backyard
tubaman replied to arichmann's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
What is incredible is that was built for only $5.5k. There are a couple of people building coasters on sscoasters.net. This one is near completion ---> He just needs to finish testing. http://bfolla06.googlepages.com/ There is his website for it. I designed the logo that is at the top of the webpage. This one is being planned EXTREMELY well, with even a guy making a spreadsheet of the forces, along with an autocad drawing. ---> http://sscoasters.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4862 -
Did a woman ever fall out of King Cobra? Actually, anybody know all the deaths that have occured at Kings Island offhand?

What will happen with smoking at Kings Island
tubaman replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
As are the people in Wal-Mart with scooters. Really though, who can tell a person "No, you can't leave, smoke, and return," It just doesn't sit well with me. -

I hate smoking, don't get me wrong. But... If we ban smoking in places like ballparks etc, will obesity be banned there as well? They both are harmful to your health. (Although, smoking is however more likely to harm others, rather than people running you over at Wal-Mart in their scooters.) -

tubaman replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
As much as I hate smoking, I think not allowing people to leave the facility, smoke, and return is wrong. I like that my county is smoke free now. We were the last county in the area to go smoke free. Restruants in the area enjoyed a boost in business because people from other counties would come here so they could smoke and eat. Disney World actually has some nice smoking areas, and I know this because my Grandmother is a smoker, and stopped at most of them. A lot of the areas are shaded well, and quiet compared to the rest of the park. -
Yea, they were always a must do for me as a child. I mean, what kid could pass up driving a car?!? I was really hoping htey would make a triumphant return to KI, but I guess being used by anther park is better than sitting around. I'd just like to see them come back.
