  1. Of course, the day before I leave for bandcamp...

    Cobra

I had heard the track went to the scrapyard. As for the trains, I do not know.
  3. I wonder if they have perhaps bought out another website that has similar subject matter? And whomever mentioned a possible podcast, that seems like a realistic idea to me. Hmm...
  4. A while back, Krogers had $20 tickets. My mom bought 30 of them, and had to go to 2 different stores to get them, and then our church youth group took a trip to KI.
  5. I've probably rode Racer around 10 times in a single day. At SFGAm, we rode Raging Bull 10 times. This year, at SFOG, we rode Ninja 3 times without changing seats.
  6. No, I think it only gets rotated 90 degrees. I believe the next move is going to be on the history channel show "Mega Movers".
  7. hehe...that one really made me chuckle. Well, it was more of a deep-laugh I suppose. I think I'm just going to go buy CF. I'm sure there is a bank somewhere that will lown me the money.
  8. I think the coaster could be purchased cheaply, assuming the current owner would want to get rid of it. But moving it and restoring it back to operating condition would be the problem. If they are going to let it go to waste, then I believe the current owner could make some easy money from selling it, peice by piece, to coaster enthusiets like us. If I had any money left, I'd drop a fair amount of money to get a part from the ride.
  9. When we at at Fethaus, our meal seemed to be cheaper than expected. Basically, it was 3 burgers, fries, and drinks for $24. Even more strange, the guy at the register didn't seem to ring it up. We got to wondering if he was pocketing some of the money. Oh well, the food was good.
  10. I'd like to do a coaster marathon sometime. Hmm...I wonder what Camden Park would say to this...
  11. I was practically singing praises on the comment card we left after a magical week on a Disney cruise. All the employees seemed to be going above and beyond their duties. In fact, one of the room service ladies helped me tie my tie on formal night.
  12. Well, we've got the real cheap stuff here, which is basically the drug of choice among the lower income communites of southern WV, IMO. Of course, Huntington is also a big Detroit drug trafficing area, due to less police inforcement, so you periodically hear about a crack house bust on the news. There is a lot of money to be mad by drugs in WV. In fact, a couple years back, 4 teens were shot and killed after their prom earlier that evening. I don't know if a drug connection has been proven, but most likely is the case.
  13. No no no my friend. Trailer park is meth. Just watch any news cast in Charleston one evening. Your bound to hear about a meth lab bust.
  14. Well, what happens on 8-4-07? I know that isn't within the next few days, but, maybe it has something to do with that.
  15. Well, on July 3rd, we had a member in our group who is 6'6" and probably 280-300lbs. He fit on... Racer Beast (I think) Flight of Fear (Back seat is supposidly larger, which he sat in and fit) Face Off Vortex Italian Job Stunt Track Firehawk (with only one click, but still fit) He couldn't get on Top Gun (due to leg room) Delirium Now, proportions may be a problem when it comes to getting on rides however.
  16. I loved it! To me, it just seems to mesh well with the area at KI. I also like the color scheme now compared to what pictures of it I have seen from GL.
  17. I rode it yesterday, and I was dissapointed. Not only were effects missing, but the ride itself seemed to be a lot more tame than it used to be. Maybe the FX just added that much to the ride.
  18. Of course, it reopens the day after what will probably have been my only visit to KI this year... *sigh*
  19. When I was there yesterday, the 3rd, I saw the blue train running later on in the day. Howver, I did at one point, while going towards Top Gun, see as many as 5 people on the track, and looked to either be inspecting, or perhaps replacing wood on it.
  20. To answer whomever asked, the park didn't seem to be crowded to me, until later in the day, when the park filled up for the fireworks. However, my youth group left at around 9:30, so I didn't see the fireworks. If you saw a guy in a royal blue WVUIT shirt, it was me.
  21. Crap, this is probably going to be the only time I visit KI this year. I just hope I can manage to get a ride on Firehawk.
  22. Well, I can't wait to see it! And, this will be my last post before I leave for a camp in Elmira NY, where there used to be a Oscar Bilter (one of two) roller coaster. Link ---> http://rcdb.com/id2062.htm http://www.eldridgepark.us/siessel/photos.html (more pictures) Luckily however, there is a chance I might get to ride the Eldridge Park Carousel Link ---> http://cityofelmira.net/dps/park_eldridgecarousel.html
  23. So did you hear that Vortex is sinking? I'm looking forward to SoB being open again. Who knows, maybe I will find it to me a much more enjoyable experience this time around.
  24. Gosh, the restraints on the trains do not look overly comfortable.
