  1. I also have a question about the testing of the ride. When they start testing the ride will the water have to be in the splashdown since it is used partly as the breaks?
  2. Same goes for Universal Studios. Then sign said a 45 minute wait for the Hulk. We waited all of about 15 minutes before we were on.
  3. Good thing I'm not going to the park until May 15th. I'm kinda glad hopefully the lines have died down by then. Plus I'll be staying at the KI resort so I'll be going back on the 16th.
  4. If you read more of the current blogs posted by Don you would see that, that^ has been canceled! See For Yourself
  5. You think the line will be as long as it was for Behemoth? If not longer?
  6. Maybe even the final piece as well I' have seen a few workers down around that section. *EDIT* Also if you catch the webcam at the right time it looks to me like they are working on the spiral staircase to the MCBR as well.
  7. Isn't Knott's a year round park. Not just seasonal so they are picking up some money there and they probably have there other sources. I'm thinking season pass sales. http://www.cedarfair.com/
  8. I think they are going to add a spiral stair case down like behemoth has. http://rcdb.com/ig4005.htm?picture=22 Can be seen here.
  9. Don't worry Tomkatt it didn't show up for me at first either.
  10. And actually on Vortex I have been in the MCBR and looked up to see a train rising up the lift hill.
  11. It has to completely clear the MCBR before the next block can be released. Think of it as what if it were stuck in the MCBR and couldn't be released for some reason. If a train is let down the hill there is no where for the other train to stop safely therefore there would be a crash.
  12. No a trim could not be used as a block section. A train must be able to stop completely at a block in case of an emergency then be able to complete the rest of the track safely.
  13. Would that even be possible. Wouldn't the first train have to clear the MCBR before the next train would be let down the lift?
  14. I think there's going to be plenty of room for people to walk under the track look at how much room they have below the station track.
  15. Yes indeed it is. They have made quite the bit of progress on the final helix as well.
  16. Work on the final helix has begun. Or I should say track placement for the final helix has begun.
  17. I was hoping to see some photos of the work on the first helix and the MCBR now that they are complete.
  18. Well we are staying at the Kings Island resort so we are gonna catch the bus around 8:30 or 9 over to the park. So we'll be there all of both days.
  19. Ok so I just found out my first trip to KI will be Friday May 8th and Saturday May 9th. The four of us have season passes. So we will get the ERT on Diamondback. How long do you think the lines will be on that Friday since all the kiddies will be in school still. I know its gonna be hectic that Saturday. But we hope to get all our Diamondback riding done on Friday then ride everything else Saturday.
  20. I don't know about Flightdeck you hit the final brakes pretty hard at the end.
  21. I still wouldn't want to have to brace myself for it. It sounds painful.
  22. I wouldn't want to try and brace myself for the final brake run. It would be like slamming on the breaks in a car at 30mph and not wearing a seat belt.
  23. You would also need them when hitting the final brake run and the MCBR.
