Thanks for all the comments, keep em coming. Photo 79 (Carl E. the man who has rode The Beast more times then anyone, more interesting is that the train says "4", does that mean Beast "had" 4 trains on the track at once?) (If you look closely at this photo at the que lines at the top, you'll see the "old" beast que house that once stood parrel to "que house 1". Remnants of this que house is small but still behind the fence next to the current on ride photo.) (The concrete pad to my believes once extended longer then what it currently left. (The Ride opened with a helix not in-closed) (Old control panels to rides always looked so cool.)

I think you must of just went on off days, I often recall queing for Vortex. I know at Beast, the crew will open "que house #2" first (the one parallel to the ramp). Then they will open "que house #1"(The one near the on ride photo) second. And finally the station que lines third/last. In the summer the station is a lot hotter when you have people in line in the station ques, thus why it's last. Which is also why you may see the station ques used first during Halloween Haunt days. During Halloween Haunt nights the line for Beast rounded the corner and ended in front of LaRosas, and this includes all ques open. Judging from this I'm sure Vortex could greatly benefit from additional que lines. With the new addition of WindSeeker I'm sure Vortex will have more riders this season. Just a little que line tidbit -
^Yeah I bet it was very annoying for the crew and those who rode Beast often those 2 years, 20min is quite short to be on loop. Photo 83

In 2004 for The Beast's 25th ann. they played a 30min documentary on the "Story of The Beast 25 years". And I believe they played it in 2005. This was when beast had many Q-TV's in the line. Currently the only ones that remain are those 4 above the station ques. The 25 Years of Terror video can be seen here http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7289711399869627611# -- At 7:40 you can hear the "Wicked Twister" station music in the background 2008^ (Thriller) 2007^ (Love Shack) I'm a Beast nut, for obvious reasons

Beast is the only ride in the entire park with QTV (also DB and FOF have TV's) 3 of the 4 still work, during summer there on a sports channel or music videos and during haunt they switch to the old Halloween Haunt mesh ups with movie clips. Kings Island if you read this, please DON'T remove the qtv's from Beast

I'm looking forward to it "rcs"

I've been searching for Beast que photos for years now. I have a few from a distance of the old que house but nothing upclose. Anyone else know of any?

Terp try to post something relevant to the topic rather then worthless nonsense you've been posting lately. I'd also like to see Vortex's que line reworked to remove the "midway line" aspect that it is currently. I didn't photoshop this into the photo but having a planter dividing the line from the midway rather then a metal fence would make the area look much nicer. And I believe Vortex could benefit from a series of switchbacks added. (Photoshopped) (Non Photoshopped) -

Located in the middle of the picture, the ride was enhanced (to include characters) with more themeing soon after it was added. The last season was I believe 1979. (Before the Hanna Barbara characters were added among the themeing) Plenty more photos of Gulliver to come, which are pretty rare indeed.
