  1. Linder has no clue what hes doing in anything in the entertainment fields be they theme parks or Baseball Teams. Its been debated and discussed all before. Linder was like a plauge. He did not give proper budgets for maitance and that is why alot of the rides were removed. When King Cobra was built there were 2-3 flat rides there. Even with Delirum there now it doesnt use that much space. When Paramount took over the park it was in shambles. Top Gun would not of been half of what it was until paramount stepped in. They had a licence available that was marketable. At that point and time The Bat was still fresh in peoples mind. They marketed Top Gun so well it was a huge sucess. The Star Trek Earth Tours brought many people into the park. You really start seeing quality improvements at PKI starting in 1996 with FOF 1997 with the Water Works Expansion 1998 with HB. The quality was brought up ALOT from what it was. The wild animal thing didn't work well either thus they had alot of land with nothing on it. Tossing Top Gun back there and calling it Adventure Village kinda was sucky. It was more like a bandaid until they could do somthing else. When Action Zone was built in 1999 you saw the biggest expansion to date. We got the 1st Gyro Drop the 3rd Invirigo(arguably the best Vekoma EVER!) and we got alot of quality improvements with the other rides. Son of Beast was a huge gamble in it self and while starting shaky its paying off. SOB is getting more popular as more work is being done. With Scooby Doo's Castle they took a dark ride that wasn't great and made it a new family classic. They could of done better with the line IMO but it was still fantastic. Delirium and TRTR are both great rides and a step away from the coaster wars. Coasters wore thin and now with new great flat rides we have its even better. Now with Boomerang Bay were going to have a great water park again. Would linder do this.......no We would be Six Flags Kings Island by now if he still had it.
  2. That we don't know about. In the fall Jeff said the sign would be sexed up a bit.
  3. Thus the WCT saves the day again!
  4. Most of Cincinnati's drinking water is Ohio River Water (yummy!). In Texas water is hard to come by thus using a river makes sense.
  5. The magnetic breaks on Beast are just trimms. The Block brakes are fin brakes that most coasters today use. Skids brakes were removed from Racer already. I doubt they will rebuild the end of racer again to re add a bunny hop. The trains on Racer are going quite fast. Your gradually slowed down though. 2 trains work well with the ride. Common sense is you have 1 more block than the number of trains you have. SOB has 3 trains and 4 block areas. No tunnels the ride isn't going to have any GET OVER IT.
  6. Its not all that good to begin with. I agree its just icecream
  7. Theres natual wells around the area too. PKI draws water from those as well.
  8. AZ Kinda guy posted it but he messed up and deleted the post I remade it fixed
  9. I believe that stores water correct me if I am wrong
  10. Lord of The Rings is a new line cinema release. Which falls under Warner Bros. Some of the Warner Brothers Movie Worlds in spain and down under use it aleady. I do not think that licence is available.
  11. ^^Not so much **** us off as confuse us easilly. We don't like Deja' vu. Espcally the Six Flags version that never fricking runs.
  12. It is PKI's model! It was assembled and tested before it was shipped over here. If PKI has the onride video of it still up it looks NOTHING like PKI and alot like the factory. There are footers for it to sit on. Just not a perm PLC room and control booth. Intresting factoid. King Cobra was assembled in Japan at the Togo factory while KECO(owners at that time)exeutives came over and road it. It did not have footers. It could be considered the only portable standup rollercoaster ever.
  13. Scooby Doo's Haunted Castle. Best ride in there
  14. Of course we knew they had assembled and tested it in germany before it was brought over because of the onride video.
  15. All questions ANSWERED! You can see where you went under the station then came back up another set of stairs.
  16. ^Most every coaster. Theres a few out there they don't have but its the most comprehensive database of coasters out there. A flatride database is around too but is nowhere near as good IMO.
  17. Would you rather have the ride removed due to mutiple head injuries? The lapbars are better than nothing.
  18. it swings Doesnt it? yeah i know its a Suspended...But Isnt Arrow no more? PS there are Corvette Dragsters Arrow exists as part of S&S power. There have been many incarnations over the years. Top Guns Official Design Model Is an Arrow Suspended Coaster. Also wood coaster maintance is near FOF and those trains are COMPELTELY taken apart theres no shells to be had when there taken down for rehab.
  19. It was removed I beleve in 1996. Those buildings were most likely for the wild animal habitat. I don't know the answer. Maybe shaggy or someone can give a better answer.
  20. you didnt pay more, it was a free upgrade Actually its normally a 5 dollar upgrade.
  21. The Eagles! BUT! if you cannot snap we should have a tutiorial on that soon!
  22. As a former crew member of the ride I can tell you that the ride IS one of the most reliable coasters in the park. The 2002 truck Vs Top Gun match didn't go to well. The park did invest in 4 new cars for the ride though. Also the ride runs very well. Arrows are known to be pretty reliable. X and Bat are 2 rides that were test rides and theres always a risk when you test a new concept. Hypersonic XLC at PKD was a prototype for a ride. Paramount bought the prototype and it was plauged with problems. Donopla in Japan is a new version of the ride with the kinks worked out. Vortex is a terrain ride even though it does not look like it. the land is very very hilly and it would be hard to use it for another ride. Plus Arrow coaster parts are WIDELY available. Vortex can eat people like no tomarrow Adventure Express is the Most popular ride in the park. Its a people eater even with 2 trains. Once again its parts for the ride are widely available. The theming may be enhanced later on though. Face/Off is still VERY popular as evidence of its line. Its one of 2 smooth Vekomas EVER!
  23. I assmed it was at PKI and there stuff sucks
  24. They could always get the naming rights for it. Call it the taco bell Concert center.
