As a former crew member of the ride I can tell you that the ride IS one of the most reliable coasters in the park. The 2002 truck Vs Top Gun match didn't go to well. The park did invest in 4 new cars for the ride though. Also the ride runs very well. Arrows are known to be pretty reliable. X and Bat are 2 rides that were test rides and theres always a risk when you test a new concept. Hypersonic XLC at PKD was a prototype for a ride. Paramount bought the prototype and it was plauged with problems. Donopla in Japan is a new version of the ride with the kinks worked out. Vortex is a terrain ride even though it does not look like it. the land is very very hilly and it would be hard to use it for another ride. Plus Arrow coaster parts are WIDELY available. Vortex can eat people like no tomarrow Adventure Express is the Most popular ride in the park. Its a people eater even with 2 trains. Once again its parts for the ride are widely available. The theming may be enhanced later on though. Face/Off is still VERY popular as evidence of its line. Its one of 2 smooth Vekomas EVER!

Thanks but no thanks. PKIU and PKIC have a working relationship and its better to co exist. I think the quality of a sites conent and how it presents itself shall be the overal deciding factor. If its good people will come. Plus have you ever used PKI's Laser tag stuff its blows and so does the arena.

If that place was in good shape I am sure they would make enough cash off of it to do all that in 1 season. Imagine that!

Maybe with a system where they can move around the seats for different events like wrestling, motor cross ect etc. When I left weird al benches were busted the place looked ratty. Plus I was on the end and only had room for a half of a cheek. I spent more time out in the park than inside it during the wait between opening act and the storm. I was in the front and it Took FOREVER to get to get out. This place was great in the 80's but its time for a 21st century upgrade. Maybe take a break from big rides stuff for one year. and rehab all the entertainment stages and venues. International showplace needs a BIG upgrade as well. You could do smaller shows there.

They most likely have a licence deal with Viacom. Since there are no Paramount Parks down under they picked up the licence. Then again KECO(Kings Island Entertainment Company) did own a park down there at one time.

The weather where PKD is located is usually warmer ealier than it is here in Ohio. Usually in Ohio in March it can be snowing one min and sunny and 70 another. The weather in Virgina is usually warmer do to its location. Its a weather thing. You have a better chance of warmer weather in Ohio in April than in March. The park has opened in late March before.

PTC trains are most likely in the coaster shop on and most likely stored in FOF. I took seperate photos and video. BUT Aaron didn't deem my photos worthy so they may go up elsewhere

I arrived at security post 3 at 9:15am. I waited around until more people showed up. Sparky, sobgun, shaggy, PKI_man, tyson ECT ECT were there. Now as for PKI_man heres the little troll in the flesh(not work safe) Jeff came in at 10:00. We walked down International Street and saw some of the off-season stuff. We made our way around HB and Nick central. Seeing the rides disassembled was pretty cool. We made our way back to the grove. You could see a lot of the rides taken apart. Vortex, Top Gun and SOB are just some of the rides that are being worked on. When we get into Boomerang Bay a lot of work has been done. Stuff is in full swing. When we were there in November not much was done yet but now you can really see stuff taking shape. It looks good. We walk around and we get back to where the White Water Canyon rafts are. We have a big announcement Coney mall is getting refurbished. Zepher, Monster, scrambler are the 1st 3 rides getting redone. We then walk back to the front Next announcement. SOB is getting major work in the rose bowl double helix. It’s on the 6 year plan like FOF was. There is a flood of announcements planned too. The sign issue is still getting worked on. The sign dept showed up as well. The drawings are going though paramount corporate and pictures. They are trying to keep the same size sign. Current zoning laws do not allow this. They are trying to get variances. Photos will be up later. If the camera plays nice I will get it on the net soon. Its about 25 mins long so 5, 5min segments. The video is low quality because my hands are FROZEN!

Arrow was purchased by S&S sports power of Logan Utah. They were in chapter 11. There parts shop was open the entire time.

AZ is a great place to work. BUT its busy all the time. Be prepared. Next PKI for dummies should be here soon.

But see they had good gate increases with flat rides. People are sick of coasters and market research shows. 2005 would be good for a coaster its a nice length between the last coaster.

Zim was kicked off nick for more RUGRATS! Chef: Boomerang is placed pretty high up on my cable listings. I was hearing rumors about a jetsons movie (live action like scooby). I think what we may see is some of the more popular ones (jetsons,flinstones,yogi) will be redone again or will air again. Heck Transformers,Teenage mutant ninja turtles and heman are back. (side note) My cousins want teenage mutant ninja turtles video game. I think instead I will pick them up a NES and the game for half that (/side note) The jetsons were made not as timeless as Sooby Doo per say. They used what was current at the time. The series it self would have to be redone and updated a bit. Yogi is pretty timeless though.

They usually don't announce the free upgrade till March. Gold pass perks are still being decided from what I heard. With boomerang Bay coming along it should be good.
