  1. Did everyone know that Flight Deck, Son of Beast, Drop Tower, and Invetigo were all taken down so that Diamondback could be built? I am dead serious when I say someone told me this. I am NOT joking around. I don't know if this girl was that stupid thought Diamondback was really THAT big.
  2. What's the point in using a cable lift system? As I said Diamondback's lift is pretty fast and it's not a cablie lift system.
  3. Doesn't look as cool as Diamondback. Sure it's taller and faster but I think, actually looks a little tame, except the first drop. Sure the lift seems cool, but Diamondback has a really fast and quiet lift also. The airtime looks very weak, while on Diamondback it's extremely intense. I probably won't go all the way down there to ride something like that.
  4. It annoys when parents don't measure their kids before getting in line. Then they argue with the OP, which slows the line down. The height requirement line is there for a reason.
  5. Omg, some people have terrible taste in music. Why in the world would ANYONE would want to see that untalented awful band? I would rather place my ears next to FOF's LIMS.
  6. Or a strata coaster that beats Kingda Ka's record. Height: 480 feet Speed: 140 MPH Of course it would never happen because it would always break down. This is the second post I mentioned this in this same exact thread...
  7. Me too. At least a nut or bolt would be cool.
  8. Batman at Six Flags Great America is an ACE landmark. It's the first inverted coaster. It's less than twenty years old and contains OTSRs. I think that Vortex should become an ACE landmark, being the first mega looping coaster.
  9. What's so great about Screamin Swings? Looks like it would be just like Delirium, just not spinning. And with lapbars.
  10. It would be real nice to have a Intamin strata coaster. Of course I doubt that would happen but it'd be really awesome! EDIT: The only bad part would be it would break down all the time and we would have hard time getting a chance to ride it.
  11. Do you prefer to go backwards up the first lifthill and doing the first trip in forwards? Or do you like going forward up the first lifthill and doing the first trip backwards? I like going up forward up the first lift hill because I can't stand being pressed against my restraint for the long going up the first lifthill. I can paranoid in a really bad way when pressed against my restraint like that. Going up the second lifthill backwards isn't that bad because the train is up there in no time and is stopped for just a split second.
  12. Rcdb is probably the best source for rollercoaster facts. Oh and in case nobody hasn't looked up SOB on rcdb, it's now stating that SOB is SBNO. Of course everyone knows that, it just shows how accurate and updated rcdb is. http://rcdb.com/584.htm
  13. What's so bad about Great Adventure? It looks like a great park. They have three B&M's. Anyway, if SOB is taken down (I hope it doesn't) I hope KI installs a B&M inverted. Diamondback is the only B&M coaster I've been on. It's now my favorite coaster. Awesome airtime, and extremely smooth. My dream would be a record breaking B&M inverted. Of course it won't happen but there is nothing wrong with dreaming. Height: 215 feet Drop: 200 feet Speed: 75 MPH Lengh: 6,450 feet Inversions: 9 2 Loops, two corkscrews, 1 boomerang, 2 barrel rolls, and another inversion that I can't thing of the name of and I'm too lazy to look it up. It's the second inversion on FOF. First loop height: 150 feet I'm no engineer but it sounds cool to me.
  14. I work at a resturaunt and do nothing bad to the food. I never have and never will.
  15. It doesn't matter that much to me either. It just sounds cool that my local amusement park has the tallest, fastest wooden rollercoaster. I feel a tad pit envy for the people that live in Jersey (Kingda Ka). There are not much amusement parks that I can get to, only KI. I know this is way off topic but how far is Holidayworld from the Butler County area?
  16. Both dude. Each time after I finish my meal (every bite I can get), I'm completely full and satisfied.
  17. Vortex: First to have six inversions. Flight of Fear: First LIM-launched coaster. Reptar: First kids inverted coaster. Racer: Tallest/fastest. I meant for a record that still holds the title, not for a firsts. So far the only two coasters at KI that sill hold the record are Son of Beast and The Beast.
  18. It was truly a teen-run show. I think the employee forgot to go and check. To each his own. I guess I love KI's Skyline the most is because I'm at an amusement park. Something about it makes the food tastes better, must be psychological. Oh, I do have one complaint. I went to Panda Express on my last visit and I thought the food was horrible. But I was becoming dehyrated (SP?) so I naturally felt sick after the first bite. I'm not going to KI for -cough-injured lady on SOB-cough-.
  19. Wow, this does not look good. If KI loses SOB, KI will only have one record breaking coaster, The Beast.
  20. I have never had a bad exprience at any of the resturaunts at KI. The best Skyline is at KI. Been to a lot of them and none compare to the quality of KI's.
  21. An eight year old boy that was sitting on the right side of me on Drop Tower said that kids fall out this all the time. I glanced at him and shook my head.
  22. I still feel sorry for the guy but on the bright side I'm glad that Firehawk has reopened. I hope that SOB reopens next. I think it's quite pointless not opening since they inspected the ride and found nothing wrong with it.
  23. (emphasis added) Really? Did they mess up in who they sold the parks to? Or in how much money they got for them? In installing the Flights of Fear? In bringing back Winterfest, for whatever reason? In signing a very lucrative Coke contract while they had the parks for sale? In hiring Jeff Seibert and thousands and thousands of other talented people, many of whom have left or who new park management let go? Terpy, just sayin' Wow bub, calm down. I did'nt mean that in literal terms and for every year they owned the park. They took out the antique cars and put in a total snoozefest (Stunt Track). While Paramount owned the park, the employees were doing a sloppy job and the lines moved soooo slow. Once Cedar Fair bought the park the employees seem to be doing a harder job and the lines are moving faster. Sure Paramount did make some good decisions. They put in Flight of Fear, Drop Tower, Invertigo, Son of Beast, and Delirium. They made more mistakes than achievements. Cedar Fair put two new coasters in the park. Two good coasters in a row actually (even though they are two years apart). Firehawk works most of the time and is one of the greatest rides there. Diamondback is the best ride ever at Kings Island. It is perfect. Also it hasn't broken down yet.
  24. I wish Paramount would of put Tomb Raider (The Crypt) in the Action Zone since it would fit the whole movie theme. I loved that huge log flume. Paramount messes everything up.
  25. http://rcdb.com/1093.htm?p=20128 Does anyone think that Vortex could get new trains and lapbars like these to replace the ones we have now? Even though it might never happen, is it a possibilty? I think it might be a good idea. It could make the ride more thrilling. Just add some padding on the bars to make them more comfortable on the legs. For the longest time Vekoma used Arrow trains on their Boomerang models, so couldn't Vekoma trains be good for Arrow rollercoasters?
