  1. Park Closed Because of Snow! Next - Park will be closed in August because of Heat! Stay tuned!
  2. Yup! We used to toss people in that fountain after the park closed. I'll try to dig up a pic of one of the cashier foremen being tossed in the fountain. It looks like she's gonna deck someone when she gets out.
  3. Why would you not be able to post a picture?
  4. Outside and maintained is very different than outside and left to it's own accords.
  5. OK, so by saying "Gay" that means it's a great nickname right? Certainly I know you would not be saying that "Gay" is bad?
  6. First Major Mistake - And I think I pointed it out long before it opened: Charging Season Pass Holders Admission. They're gonna learn that Season Pass Holders need to be given admission on their passes. This will generate word of mouth. Also, it will generate in park sales. Topping it off, many pass holders will bring others without passes that will pay admission. This is really such a simple concept. How is it that marketing missed this?
  7. Yes! Opeing SoB up to be a raging bon fire would be great. Imagine the amount of Chesnuts that could be roasted over that thing!?!?!?!
  8. Ahhhh, come on Guys and Gals! Why is there so much nastyness going around. It's Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, Winter Solstice and All The Rest! Feel The Love Everyone!
  9. Yeah, I was up there in October and it appeared that they had already sunk a great deal of money into the construction. I know that that the purchase was some time ago so I was wondering what happened. Thanks Combat.
  10. Maybe Jungle Jim's will install King Cobra. <G> Anyone know if Jungle Jim's still plans to make the monorail active? I know that they have a very nice storage facility for the cars.
  11. Ya'll are Pampered. LOL - In my day all the guys had to wear pants. (Except Oktoberfest & WAH) And I had to Walk to School Barefoot! In The Snow! Uphill! Both Ways! <G>
  12. Unless it's Winterfest! I guess that FOF - Santa's Slay did not happen. <G>
  13. I've seen Vortex and King Cobra both run when it's been in the low 50's.
  14. Where did Kings Island's Ferris Wheel go to. Ferris Wheels, for some reason, are the only ride that scare the crap out of me. Stop it at the top and I just freak out. Put me on a coaster 4 times as high and there is no issue. Strange.
  15. I remember riding The Beast one Dry Run day when it was sleeting. The train actually stopped on the first hill and we sat there for about 15minutes before it started again.
  16. I understand that Opening Day is on This Friday Again. The park reopens each Friday until Winterfest goes to daily operation. <G>
  17. Yeah, I can not imagine that it was dismantled with the greatest amount of care. Though bolts are no problem to replace, the actual track would be more difficult with the way cuts were likely made.
  18. See, and that's one of the things that I really liked looking at. You have to admit that some of the coaster pics that they have are incredible.
  19. Well, being gay myself, really don't think it shoud matter what their sexuality is. The point is that they do a very good job in documenting a variety of trips. Their use of language is to exhibit and put forth humor and entertainment. Just think of many comedians and how they show themselves on stage. Anyway, just wanted to toss the website forth. For better or worse, take it for what it is. Happy Friday All!
  20. I actually think they're fun. They seem to have a good time at whatever park they go to and seem to get into areas that a lot of people can't any more. ie - Ghost Town In The Sky and Heritage USA.
  21. I remember distinctly when they put the Ice Show into Festhaus because there was a change in the table and bench set up. I used to run over to Festhaus and grab food as it was always some of the best in the park. (Next to Columbia Palace) Food Supervisors didn't get to eat free at International Restaurant; so I didn't get up there very often. Back when there was live entertainment in the Festhaus the place was always bustling. There was nothing like working a show rush. (LOL, yeah sick man I must be.) But it was always great to get the initial rush of people through to be seated and then send the patio crew out there for clean up when the show had ended.
  22. Not sure if ya'll know about this website but these guys do a great job documenting visits to parks around the world. (Yes, I did say world.) Tommy & James Vacation Extravaganza
  23. I didn't realize it had started in the Festhaus as early as 1986. Lord, that's the year I graduated from High School. LOL, and Yes, I was working at the park then.
  24. Prior to the Show in American Herritage Music Hall there was an Ice Show in Festhaus. I think it was called Fire and Ice. (But I'd have to check my info at home.)
  25. That was Sooooo Yesterday. Get with it man. We're talking about the Festhaus Today!
