  1. Thank you again. You acted like an adult and I appreciate you.
  2. They gotta have more designs to sell their slop to the masses. Can't get coaster boys to buy the same shirt multiple times a year.
  3. Thank you for admitting you were wrong. I appreciate it.
  4. Also, I'm CPI trained and on our Crisis Response Team. I've dealt with kids in their most extreme and difficult moments. I work in a school currently that has the wealthiest families per capita and they have the exact same issues I had in the school with Title I funding for being the highest poverty school per capita. Sure, there are times poor parenting is to blame for student struggles, but that is not the case most of the time. From my 15 years of experience working hands on with children. Now, when I was an intake officer and licensed probation officer working at the juvenile detention center, many of those kids had difficult family situations, but that is a very small percentage of the youth population being arrested and brought to the detention center. I would not extrapolate the issues I saw at the detention center to the regular issues happening in schools and the like.
  5. I'm a special ed teacher. I've worked in both elementary schools and high schools for closing on 15 years now.
  6. Did any of you see the Ramones when they played? As a life long punk rock goon, that's the one that always blew my mind. July 18th, 1990.
  7. Mate, I had tremendous parents and I was still an absolute terror and hoodlum. Its brought on by kids being kids with bad brains that don't function properly.
  8. Rhetoric involves using writing to influence an audience, not letting the audience dictate your writing for you.
  9. Bizarre, but go off, I guess. I can't imagine basing my posts around what random people think on an amusement park message board. I like to think for myself, but you do you.
  10. Do you think every storyteller cares about the opinions of every audience member? I've told many stories in many different forms of media, and never once did I care what anyone who read it thought about it. I wrote it for myself, for whatever reason. This particular story, I wrote to tell a humorous tale of an event that happened to me. Some people will like it. Some people will not like it. Do you make every single post concerned with what anyone else will think of it? You keep the audience in your mind the entire time you type every word?
  11. It might not be a flex, but it is funny. That's the point of the story. Some stories are written to be a funny story.
  12. Yeah, I truly do not give a ****. Sorry, mate. Try someone else.
  13. I have lots of stories involving my alcoholism in my younger days. This one just happens to be funny. Oh well.
  14. Yep. That's pretty much what I remember. I thought I was just telling a funny story of my nonsense. I didn't recognize that it would trigger so many of these geeks.
  15. You absolutely have not outdrank me. That is an absolute fact.
  16. Ahhh, the virgins have shown up. Sorry no one ever invited you to party.
  17. I don't think it was actually a jail. I think it was just the police room or whatever. They just didn't think we could safely be in the park any longer and had to stay in that room until our friends showed up. We had apparently caused a scene in line for I believe the Terror Trail or something? And we saw the lights flashing blue and red when we got out of the house. We knew it was for us. They stopped me and my friend, and asked us if we had been drinking and how much. I stated, "Only whatever we have been served here tonight! That's all!" Trying to insinuate we had been overserved by the park and we weren't to blame for our actions. Right as I said that, my friend had a fifth of E&J brandy fall out of his jacket pocket onto the ground. The funniest possible timing anything has ever happened. We had seen a specific cop earlier in the evening, and he told us we were going to end up in some sort of trouble then. He was the one that took us up to the front, and laughed about it all the way. When we got up there, they told us we need to call up our friends to get us at the entrance as we couldn't safely be in the park anymore. Both our phones were dead, so they gave us chargers, and we called them up as soon as our phones were turned on. The same officer took us back up to the front, and I asked him if I could run into a gift shop to buy a Haunt shirt. He said that was fine, our friends showed up, and he bid us farewell. One of the best Haunt nights ever, but also surprisingly, not the drunkest Haunt night I have had.
  18. Have you ever been to the Kings Island jail? Raise your hand! 🙋‍♂️ Surprisingly, I barely remember it at all!
  19. Anyone ever done that booze gimmick? $45 for drinks all night sounds insane for a place that charges nearly $20 for one drink. Is it the whole night the park is open? Just a specific amount of time? Details don't really say. Far more interesting to me than the buffet gimmick.
  20. Still the best ride in the park, including night ride. Absolutely nothing like hitting that in the fog on a dark Haunt night. Just out of control insanity.
  21. Lmao. Winterfest above Smoky Mountain Christmas is so funny.
  22. Also, because its nowhere near as good as many of the other Christmas events.
  23. If they keep adding a house each year as good as Order of the Dragon, the event will be better overall every year. Fingers crossed!
  24. Who cares if AI slop is taking over? The goal should be to reverse that trend and use less of it. Its damaging to the environment and to artists alike. The only good of AI is it allows creators to avoid paying actual artists and performers. Its slop and should be shunned, as opposed to just giving in and accepting.
