Unfortunately yes the Screeching Eagle would be great but costly to move, but who knows! Also the whip must go to Coney island at any cost!!! And yes Americana/Lesourdsville has a newer scooter ride. Same concept but not antiques like Kings Island`s or Holiday World's was!!!!! wait we must do!!!

Fond childhood memories of a Tri-state amusement park will be all that's left now that the decision has been made to close it up for good. The owner of Lesourdsville Lake, formally Americana, says the Monroe amusement park will likely never open again. Most of the rides will be sold and the site will be used as a recreational vehicle dealership. Lesourdsville Lake first opened in 1922 and was renamed Americana in 1978. Americana closed in 1999, was sold to RV dealer Jerry Couch in 2000 and reopened in 2002 as Lesourdsville Lake. But it closed quickly because of financial trouble and has been closed ever since. It's not known what will become of the land

Channel 9 Wcpo Cincinnati reported at 6pm that Americana or Lesourdsville Lake will be No More. The rides will start being sold and the land devoted to Couches campers. The roller coaster the screechin eagle and heck even the serpent would be great for Kings Island . And Coney Island should buy the classic whip and the Ragin Log Flume rated the best in the world at one time. The Beast nothing like it!!!! its the best wooden coaster. And the woods away from the rest of the park and still the longest Great ride!

If I ownded the park I would negotiate and keep all paramount themes to keep the park history during the paramount days theyv'e done great: for Coney Island section it would be COney island lots of flats more rides awseome. think it would be important to make oktoberfest a land again not like it is today but make it all of Action Zone. And open a fridays through the park , maybe some other sit down restraunts. and a total family section with lots of animatronic figures, like at disney and really just add flowers plants etc. out front new entrance new front buildings and free to all parking, suntan lotion and all sodas! also out front a downtown kings- something similar to disney. also during winterfest lots of indoor rides opened! and the whole park with lights .

Whats the two new rides that just opened? and what do they do? also the carousel worst thing they've ever completed at Kings Island!!!! so much better as when it was hanna barbera: rest of NU very impressive

Would love to see king cobra back : Great ride: and also would love a very nice dark ride like what the smurfs was maybe a couple dark rides full of animatronics etc. And yes would love to see flying dutchman , tiques, and the big slide, and yes the flying eagles, but mostly Love flight commander what a concept Good ride!

Yes PKI and hopefully soon to be again just Kings Island is not in any way going to make the people that go one day or us coaster and thrill fanatics totally pleased with all there decisions that sometimes seem to be more corporate minded than what the thrill fan wants. But PKI has done a bunch to add to the park yes the flowers and some of the paint on the side walks may be gone but our memories will never fail to remember the past like COBRA eagles the tiques, and more. But look at this years 2006 expansion of the worlds larges NICK area and they did a great job i'm sure though if they had closed that area for say 2 years they could have done plenty but what an improvement ot what they've done. To the new owners strive upkeep hopefully!!!! And expand without taking out rides.

I really think Flight of Fear will stay !!!! yep its not on the map but I do believe we get the year of the coaster next year!!! Big metal Coaster it may not have records but will be a thrill for this park

Nick U is great my 2 yr old rode his 1st coaster little bills giggle fun! but the whole family loved the planktons plunge so fun! and little kid friendly overall the park for kids looks great almost now Pki has 3 parks PKI , boomerang, and nick universe, now some more type rides likes pirates of carribean etc Pki would be rocking Great theming was completed all over NICK U. Love the new cars on tracks theme and the old whip ride is awseome .

What happened 11 years ago on this very historic date at Kings Island The Vortex opened in 1987 on this date Wow what a day.

Actually I'll be taking my 2yr old during Opening weekend looks like so much fun!! And yes that plunge /tower ride is a blast rode coneys Awseome!!! But for the kids NIck U should be fun and for the amusement industry another golden ticket indeed. Now if they can add a couple family dark rides that would pu NIck Universe in a whole new universe. Pictures are great can't wait. Kings Island really goes over the top!!!!

that would have been a great ride to have rode and if they had probably just covered the track an added some simple modifications we may all have still been riding it But at least we have one great video!!!!

Supposedly as mentioned in this article The zoo is ready to break ground near Kings Island for a big safari type event. A ride that goes through and over water and all natural habitats for the animals and it would be something Like ANimal Kingdom!!!! only time will tell

And lets not forget at one time I Do believe right when the owners of COney was tinkering with moving there almost was a park going to start at I75 and 71 during that craze 60-70's lots of parks closed or moved . Cincinnatians love Kings Island maybe a private investor will buy it and chop it up i t would be ironic to be owned in cincinnati again by cincinnati owners?
