Everything posted by Flying Eagles 1972-2004

  1. Robin Chiller snagged some wires with the LIM fin and shredded part of the launch.
  2. They have a Scooby license through Sally Dark Rides through 2012.
  3. Thank God! metal detectors are terrible.
  4. The last big map was for the 20th Anniversary in 2002. As for the free ones, they have existed since the park first opened. Dimensions have varied a little I think. The 1972 one was more of a vertical layout, with a squareish map. All of the more recent ones (Since Paramount Purchase) have been rectangular, I believe. Themeparkbrochures.net has a decent amount of old maps/brochures.
  5. If a kid rode Beastie safely the year before the limit was raised, there isn't a logical safety reason for being denied.
  6. I've seen more PKI commercials. CP i've seen like one. PKI DOZENS.
  7. It's 1AM and the PKI episode isn't on.
  8. I wonder if it is CF, how long this has been udnerway? They were playing the Snoopy Christmas music at WinterFest...
  9. I actually saw this earlier, but KICentral.com redirects to this site.
  10. Landscaping department? Seriously, who cares.
  11. Strickers Grove lists the Schwabinchin for sale on usedrides.com
  12. Didn't you hear? We're building the worlds tallest fastest and only looping empty field!
  13. Thornberrys is not posted as no photography allowed. Plus he had his kids with him, and it was too late to stop the lift.
  14. They list the park closing time that used to be on each ticket booth.
  15. You may not be seeing them, but they exist. On my camera, at the moment. Blurred a bit though.
  16. Umm no. it didn't go out of business. It BURNED DOWN.
  17. Just to clear things up, Crocodile Dundee's has never been in that logo on the website. I believe the one in the media center was the only one to have it, and I think that was only for a short time in 2004. Anyone else notice that IJST is completely missing from the attractions pages?

  19. What makes you so sure the new owners will change GMs? We're talking a sale of the entire company here, the internal structure isn't likely to be changed.
  20. Powered rides have to have SOME gravity sections to be considered a coaster. S:TE falls back down the towers. So do the Intamin Impulses and Half-Pipes. Avatar will be powered the entire ride and does not count.
  21. You guys are goign to royally cheese off Maureen for continuing to call them carnie rides.
  22. Asking this for a friend, does FOF have one of those "Kid Cages" like Vortex and Beast do? For the life of me, I cannot remember.
