  1. I,m sure that some of them would be hard up enough for work that they would show up in person.
  2. Yes, until around 1950, Escalator was a trademark of the Otis Elevator Company. Competitors, like Westinghouse and Haughton, called their similar devices Electric Stairway and Moving Stairs, respectively. However, Otis failed to police their trademark, so now, we call anything that has moving steps with a handrail that matches the movement of the stairs, an escalator - even if it's made by Otis, Fujitec, Kone, Schindler, or other companies, past and present. On the other hand, I don't see some guy with a few carnival rides and such, naming his business "Carowinds"... Obviously an escalator will take you up, so one that goes down would be called a desendalator right? Now what about a moving side walk, would that be a parallelalator? Just a thought.
  3. Think new Son of Beast cars!!!!!!!!!!
  4. ^Just giving the mods a hard time.
  5. Read the terms of use, your spelling and grammor aint so good. I cant understand nothing you say!!!
  6. ^I can't promise you any, I have been telling myself that I need to go through those slides for years now. I hope you have given me the motivation I need to do that now. Only time will tell. I do travel a lot and work insane hours, that is why I am on late at night all the time. So forgive me if I don't get to them.
  7. Me, too, Mike. Me, too. Now you have me all worked up...... time to go back into the 35mm slides and find my first love, yes there she is the Teddy bear!!!! putting your arm around your girl and falling in love on the Shooting Star!!!!!!!! Then down by the river for an end to a day to remember.
  8. ....received an excellent education! (sorry I think I made my point, I will stop now).
  9. Thank you interpreter for making my point. Try comparing them with my hundreds of other posts. If you think I have a serious spelling issue, then I think you can address it here. Until then, I think it would be a typo. (Considering I was born/raised in Cincinnati and know many that have graduated from the school. You missed my point. Just about every thread on here has some one correcting another's spelling or grammar, don't you think that will and has gotten old? I want to come on here and read the comments about the topic, not if some one can't spell. So I saw this thread and I noticed no one has been corrected on any thing, just keeping up the tradition. Also I am a graduate of Moeller, so I do not care if you know any one or not.
  10. Then whose to say that every word not spelled correctly in the forums is not a typo?
  11. Had a football stadium behind it where Moller would play. Every one is so big on spelling so I will go ahead and correct you: MOELLER.
  12. Man you are old! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0008139/ Also did you have to get all the IJ:SJ haters started?
  13. Finaly someone who gets me................. I think.. Then again Interpretations are just Interpretations, and believing is seeing. You'll shoot your eye out kid, and finally the holy grail of movie quotes: Luke I am your father!!!!!!!!!
  14. How is that cool? It's all a matter of opinion. That is what the forums are for are they not? If you have noticed, I only reply to statements that have nothing to do with the topic of the thred, or something that I think is totaly out of hand like a reply to 10 quotes. The point is............well there is no point, just the oppertunity to get people all upset about nothing.
  15. Not if it lives in the Zoo!!!!!!
  16. This one time, at Kings Island, A lady got spraid by a skunk in line for the scooby doo. It was so cool, she just stood there and screemed!!!!!
  17. No it doesn't take 10 million to tear down X-Flight and ship it down here but fixing SOB isn't free. Seriously, you have no idea what your talking about and your passing it off as if you do. It's probably best you just stop talking. Hey Sparky, weren't you in charge of high steel maintainance work? Oh wait no... when you worked at the park you checked lap bars and pressed buttons. Why don't you quit hopping on people for speculating? I'm not allowed to say too much but I'm willing to say that come opening day, you're really going to have to put a foot in your mouth for attacking Rumor Smasher on this one. No I wasn't in charge of steel coaster maitenance nor did I claim to be. Your right, I was Head Supervisor in ride operations but I gained more knowledge about the industry in the six years I was employed at KI then I ever did being in some coaster club or running a fanboy web site. It doesn't take a genius to realize what "Rumor Smasher" is saying is seriously, well, stupid. Odd... the guy who runs the 'fanboy website' seems to know something that the former button pusher doesn't. I wouldn't be so sure about that. There's a saying in this industry and I know at least ONE person on this board(not counting me) knows what it is. I guess you're just going to have to wait and see and be surprised with everyone else, now aren't you? I just wanted to be the one with the most quotes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. If a tree falls in the woods, it creates compressed and decompressed air that a pickup device such as an ear will interpret that as a sound or noise. Key word being interpret, we interpret our senses to what we are taught they are. Hot is hot because mom said it is hot, red is red for the same reason. I myself want to do an experiment and find out how many generations it will take to change the color pallet. Red will become blue and green will become black and so on. As for the chicken or the egg, I like them both. I prefer chicken breast and my eggs over easy. The last part is easy, they have the same Avatar because no one has complained to the other to change. One other thing I would like to point out is: Ever since the park closed, the forums have been just one step above watching lifetime! I hope it doesn't dip below after they make an announcement.
  19. If you use a statement like that on a joke that you did not get (which apparently you did not) then the statement is over used. Lighten up a little, it's off season. And Avatar I agree with you, but you have to learn how to read between the lines on most of the comments on hear. The one thing I wanted to say about you though is that I really appreciate your enthusiasm and patience, if only the younger members would learn from the patience part. In closing, King's Island is a fun place to visit, and so pkic should be too. Don't try to make something serious out of a light hearted comment, it ends up making every one look bad.
  20. The most over used statement on this web site. A- I did not say that I know, I said that I was going to spoil it for every one. 2nd- I was making light of the topic, I hope you at least got that. And finally Z- I thought that the CLUE part of the topic fit well with the name change from Action Zone to Blues CLUES play house.
  21. Thank you........I think.......
  22. I am going to spoil it all for every one. The new attraction for 2007 is not an attraction at all. In fact it is just re-theme, and an announcement that they are signing a new contract with Nick for 20 years. The re-theme is simple, they will turn Action Zone into Blues Clues play house. Now every one can go back to work and school, and in there spare time play there pkic survivor game. Good night and have a wonderful winter.
  23. Good one, but I don't think they would have had to pay too much for the rights. If Styx agrees to play a forth of July picnic in mason, I'm sure they will take any money they can get for copy write use. Good marketing ploy though.
  24. You can copy write something in a certain context. For example "Let's get ready to rumble" you can say that all you want as long as you do not use it inside of the context it was registered in. If Styx did register it as a single word phrase (which they did not it is registered as a song title) then they can not use it within the context of the song. Long story short you can use Renegade all you want (except a song title with similarities within the song).
  25. Dude, Kings Island already has a Delerium you idiot Dude if you go to the Huss web site you will know what he is talking about. Huss has a flat ride named Delerium you idiot.
