Not to pick on you, but Coney has not Mauled any one. Good seasonal pun though.
  2. I like any thing close to the restrooms, Old age = bladder problems.
  3. Are YOU calling ME a NERD? Well are you PUNK? I guess you like daisies, I hope you like the roots because that is all you will see of them when I am finished with you. Go ahead, MAKE MY DAY. Just for your info, the only nerds I know are not enthusiasts. Also the Interpreter does not claim to be perfect, he just claims that he interprets correctly all the time.

Make sure you put "Observant" on your resume, you'll get far with that trait.
  5. You could build a coaster and name it after me. But you would end up with a coaster with old fat trains that keep falling off the track and complains a lot.

Grout is used to fill a void, it could be between tile, or between a footing and a base plate. It also could be between two steal beams. It is maid of different material, silicone, sand, paper, solder, weld, you name it, if it fills a void it is grout.
  7. I liked it, but then again I have been to the Ludlow garage to see Pure Prairie League (incredible concert by the way). I think I'm going to see if I can find this one. (and no that was not sarcasm).
  8. The last real visit was in 1969 (last ride was the Teddy Bear with my girl), I say real visit because I go to river bend a lot. I hear and can see that it is a clean fun park. I think I will try it out next year.
  9. Not if that dry hole has a hole in it, then it is a wet hole that is bleeding internally..........are we talking about a real boat or CF?
  10. I was hungry and I don't like McDonalds. Besides the Whopper is the only real burger with some real meat in it, and Boddah1994's press releases tend to have some good meat in them like a Whopper.
  11. ^So your saying that a Kings Island press release is like a single whopper some times with cheese. But your press release about a Kings Island press release is like a double whopper with cheese all the time. No wonder I like your press releases…………I just thought of some thing, what if the next KI press release allows you to write a press release that is like a triple whopper, oh now I can't wait!!!!!!!!! I don't know how I came up with this, but now I'm hungry.
  12. Disney actually has sponsored weddings for some of the employees. The director of building operations for the main park had his wedding there and the public was invited. He was getting hitched to one of the actors, don't know who, but they did it during the parade. They made 100 wedding cakes and passed it out to all who wanted some. I know the bill was over $100,000. I have also heard about some of the cakes they make costing $5,000 or more. On topic: Cormaster, I have been married for 30yrs, the only thing I have to say is…….Yes Dear…..I mean enjoy your time together and it does get easer as time goes by. And Hauntguy, crossing your fingers looks like it would be hard with those stringy fingers of yours. Also, I can get you a good skin cream to clear up that orange complexion if you want……….Oh that's a costume, my bad.
  13. ^Yes you are correct, some of the rides were only down a day or two, one that I know of only a couple of hours. There was only one ride closed because of a major cable problem discovered during an inspection after the SFKK accident. If you really want to get rid of DZ, then I would suggest this: http://www.dreamworld.com.au/content/stand...e=Big5GiantDrop That's 393ft, and it shakes a little when the Tower of Terror is running also. (When I say a little, that is when you are looking up at it. When you are on it, it is a whole other story)
  14. I don't thank my wife for not making up her mind, why would I thank CF. (Boy am I glad my wife dosn't read this stuff).
  15. Hey Boddah1994, I bet now you wish this thread started with a press release. This is what you get when you say speculate 1,000 times. On topic, I think CF needs to get all of its ducks in a row before they open the can of worms. If you open the can of worms early, they tend to get dried out or eaten. Edit:man am I out of it, I thought I was reading the thread about FF or HH or was it PP being an up charge. Oh well either way I think Boddah1994 does too much speculaten or press releasen. I like the press releasen better.
  16. Yep it's been in about a dozen movies including Captain Kirk Goes Fishing, you know the one about how they moved the whales from GL. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=173829 Also C.H.I.P.S. has an episode shot there. I have only been there once, nice place I must say.
  17. ghoster coster was just a pain in the groin!!!!!
  18. ^It is not "Dive Machine", that is a device for diving in water. The term that B&M uses is "DivING Machine" and yes they do have a copyright on the term "Diving Machine". The only patents that they have are on the mechanics of the ride, such as the train, carriage, and track design (not layout such as a vertical hill), and several other design features. And no Interpreter I will not leave you out. Thank you for doing my home work for me, I was stuck in a hotel room because my flight was canceled. I have had a nasty summer and a lot on my mind that I did not realize that the over 90deg hill a friend of mine was talking about was on Maverick. I really need a vacation, may be Ceder Point next week.
  19. ^I don't care if you are joking, I would watch what you say. Some of us on here (I know of one other besides myself for sure) that sub contract for several ride manufactures. The term "Diving Machine" is a copyright by B&M, they do not own a patent. Any one can make a "Dive Coaster", that is a coaster with a hill that qualifies as vertical (qualifying a hill is defined by the manufacture). B&M qualifies a "Diving Machine" at 89deg because of the configuration of the carriage (and no the seating arrangement has nothing to do with it). Believe it or not a 90deg drop is more harmful to a carriage than 70deg, you can not have as much play in the carriage to track contact for a 90deg drop, it would cause too much stress on certain parts. And yes 1deg makes a big difference with angles above 80deg. There is no real definition for "Diving Machine" or "Dive Coaster", as a matter of fact there are several manufactures that have hills on coasters that they define as vertical, I can assure you that they are all off by at least 1deg or more in either direction. Yes there is a coaster that is I think 92deg but I could be wrong, I know it does go over 90deg.

^O.K. sentimental fool... A lot of times I find my self talking with my daughter about different rides that "used to be there". Every time the conversation ends with...... Well at least you have your memories, and I have my Beast and shake rattle and roll. I don't think memories get bull dozed, as a matter of fact they grow stronger when I talk to my daughter about some of the rides that are gone now that she did not have a chance to experience. Also I think a rides reputation can be exaggerated as time passes and there are more and more people who did not have a chance to ride that particular ride. Case and point, the Screechin' Eagle at Lesourdsville lake. My first ride on it was a good ride, lots of air time. The last ride was horrible, almost no air time and the hill felt like it was going to fall down. Most people who have ridden it late in it's life think they got a great ride, well I am here to tell them that they got ripped off. All of this from memories.......good memories. One other thing, I stopped at Toverland on my way to another job and was able to experience a woodie that rivals any in the US. I think this park is on to some thing big. (I wish they would come and manage KI) http://www.rcdb.com/ig3589.htm
  21. ^Hey I remember that ride..........or do I.......Yes I remember........no I don't.......Yes I do remember that one. That was a great.......what was I talking about? Oh well, I think I here the sand man down stairs. If he steals my Makers Mark again I will sick the cat from next door on him. Monroe who wishes youth still consisted of a curly haired girl and a '67 mustang.
  22. If it looks like a press release and sounds like a press release, then it must be a press release. Just as if it looks like a link to a news article, it must be Interpreter with nothing better to do.
  23. A press release with a story line, I think Boddah1994 is on his way to becoming a script writer. Maybe a re-make of Dr Strange Love.
  24. ^Never thought that I would agree with a browns fan, (My father is turning in his grave right now) but.......You are right, only a small portion of the world records are held by those who do it for charity or other useful reasons. Most are done out of self satisfaction, I think that is a big waist. If you want to break a record, why not help some one with cancer, or some one who was injured on a ride and can not afford the medical bill.
  25. ^You still don't get it. Amazing!!!!!!!
