  1. So did the Kings come from the city of Kings right next to KI, or randomly from KECO, and then did that name just randomly hop over to Dominion?
  2. Yeah I was a little more crowded than usual simply because I think some people from out of town bought two day passes for the 4th and 5th
  3. Here's a question: Did KINGS Dominion come from Kings Island as to say that they are related from long ago before paramount came into play. Might this work out the same with the paramount name as to say that they were related from long ago. But then again in they took the King out of each of them they would both sound pretty dumb. This is just a theory of mine.
  4. No, nothing is going off of the tower this year but they light it up which makes it look mighty pretty.
  5. Wait so they extras were being shot off building on the right side of International Street, sorry I don't know what side of the park is north or south. I was a splat city shootout (right by timmy's sky tours). If they did go off the buildings how did they get clearance to do that. I didn't think in Ohio you were able to shoot even close to building let alone on them.
  6. I was working in the games during the nights of fire so I didn't get the best seat in the house but I have a pretty good view of everything going on. I really liked all the fireworks and special fireworks to go with what the person was saying. I thought that the person talking or our nations freedom or whatever during the whole thing was a little corny. I really liked how they shot fireworks off of what I thinks was the fountains of international street, that was a cool little effect. I thougt overall the show was great but a little short, I think it lasted like 15-20 minutes, not like the past when I remember it being like 25 minutes, or I at least think it was that long. The night overall was great.
  7. Did you guys wait and see the nights of fire? I thought they were a little short this year.
  8. Is that bear just sitting in the woods in the picture above? That seems kind of like a waste of what seems to be a nice statue. Might there be other random statues just sitting in the woods?
  9. ^ yes mondays are usually slow but that means nothing when it is a night of fire, the park will probably be more packed than any normal weekend. Although if you get there early, right when they open the gates, you will get some good rides in before the crowds come.
  10. I don't think the thrill number relates to the g's on a ride. Think you feel more g's on Vortex (4) than you do on The Beast (5). Or at least I think beast is a 5
  11. Now just wondering does The Racer have the Paramount name on it?
  12. ^yes but it is still July which I think is Kings Island's most crowded month, If you have a choice make it a weekday, tuesday wednesday thursday and in June or August. Then you won't find many lines.
  13. I would imagine that the fifth will have to have some leftover crowds simply because of all the family vacations that will buy 2 day passes and go on the fouth and fifth.
  14. Today when I was getting in line today for The Beast they had a employee telling people where to sit and basically counting people off right before you turned to head for what seat you wanted. Did I miss somthing like a fight over seats or were too many people not riding in the back seats anyway I had just never seen this before. How long has this been going on also.
  15. What is dry rotting, the sign didn't look like it was falling apart.
  16. It is not the loop that you should be apprehensive about, but the ride itself. Have fun it will definately be one of your wildest rides.
  17. Yeah you got to keep nick in the park. You are able to keep the most popular characters in the park so why no make the kids happy and keep what they know in the park. I really don't even know many other character from other brands of shows. If anything I would bring Disney into the park, but that is not going to happen. Does anybody think that Paramount saw the sale coming and put in NU just to try to show off their own product more in the future. Cause if HB was still there we would probably be seeing snoopy in the next years.
  18. You know I really don't know of a close campground, and I live in Mason (5 mins from KI) . I don't know about the july 4th fireworks in carowinds but the ones here are very cool.
  19. I would go to Avatar, it is a really slow ride from what I see, but sometimes it is closed in the morning.
  20. By the way has anybody ever seen one of those cigarette boxes smoking. In games we all act like firefighters and take cups of water over there and put it out
  21. They are basically dollar bills that can only be used in the park but they are given away i believe through company picnics and other such events, i don't think you can buy them and if so why?
  22. Probably because they are expensive to run (gas), why would another park build a new track for such a low thrill attraction, and the tiques aren't cheap. I would say that Paramount was probably trying to sell them couldn't and they are just still hanging around. Yet I have still had some guests ask where they have gone. Also I notice that one lucky tique is still on display outside the Action Theatre
  23. ^hah good luck you might be able to find some just in a local shop, but I bet that Cintas makes them like all uniforms.
