  1. PKD is the park you want to go to if you like launching coasters (Volcano, Hypersonic, and FOF). But if you want family thrills, go to PKI. I really liked PKD, but if you go to Virgina, I would say go to BGW instead. :offtopic: Anyways, I really liked the atmosphere at PKD better than at PKI. PKD seems to be more wooded and closer together, and I liked that. PKI seems to be spread out (I mean that the coasters make a loop at PKI and it is a long walk between them, whereas PKD's coaster, while they make a loop, seem to be closer together). I will call this one a draw.
  2. Or maybe a face-lift to some area of the park.
  3. StXBomber, I was the guy sitting behind you, next to Danny. I had a Beast shirt on.
  4. I'll bet on that or a giga coaster.
  5. Sounds the same as my day, except I rode a few more rides before I left.
  6. I am moving to Louisville in the fall and was only going to get a SFKK season pass. After going to the park and hearing the announcement today, I am going to get BOTH a SFKK and PKI season pass. And I must say that any coaster would have been a good coaster at this point, but PKI outdid themselves and gave us a GREAT coaster.
  7. Eagles will be moved. Tiques are gone forever. Tiques last day is Sunday.
  8. The park felt the need to expand a new area...i.e.Action Zone, therefore they felt the need to add two rides in one area. That explains the addition of BOTH Face/Off and DZ.
  9. What else could they have put there? Would you have suggested another flat? That was the year they added DZ. This would have meant two flats in the same year. Also, there is no other type of coaster they could have added at that time. What type of coaster would have been small enough? (with the exception of a wild mouse) I don't think it was a bad investment, but you are right about the long line.
  10. I think with all the options that the park has for special effects, the park will take advantage of it and give us a well themed ride.
  11. Easily Thunderhead. The ride has great airtime, unbelievable "head choppers", and seems so fast. The only thing it lacks is length, and The Beast makes up for that. Don't get me wrong The Beast is awesome, but Thunderhead is BETTER! :jerry:
  12. The seats on ROTM are very cool. They sit four across and are very comfortable.
  13. Premier made trains that look like mine cars so why couldn't they make coaster trains in the shape of mini coopers?
  14. Don't get me wrong, I love The Beast, but I feel that Thunderhead is better. As for SOB, well that is a different story.
  15. Interesting point, but I hope it is not true.
  16. Welcome to the boards. One word of advise though, don't create anymore dumb topics.
  17. Oh yeah, well I have been saying something about a coaster where the tiques are for two years now! (The really is no sarcasim here)
  18. I think it would be a really neat idea. Add some photos of the park and models of the rides (I know they had one for SOB, it would neat to have that on display).
  19. The duel loading on Mummy isn't the best idea, but it works out ok. Early in the day, all que traffic splits when you get to the station (Very effective here). But later in the day when people get express passes, it doesn't work as well. All Express people go to one station while the normal que goes to the other. The bottom line is if the crowd isn't huge everything goes well, but when thinks back up, all hell breaks loose. Also, I must say that upon entering Universal, I didn't think the Mummy was going to be that good, but after riding it, I realized that the ride is unbelievable! I would be so pumped if PKI got a Mummy esque type ride. One last comment about the Mummy is that the ride starts out just going though a tomb, rather slowly. This is where the "groundbreaking" mummy effects take place and the backwards part takes place here. Then you are launched uphill and into the coaster part of the ride. When all the effects come together it is awesome!
  20. I have to agree, HW is by far the cleanest park I have ever been to, followed by CP.
  21. I agree with PKIguy, fire dragon is better. I bet you liked ice better b/c you rode in the front. The front seat on both rides rules. Anyway, did you visit any other parks on you trip? When I went down in June, I went to IOA, USF, WDW (all four parks), and Sea World.
  22. I think Premier will be the builder. ie "Premier Press Conference." Secondly, the Revenge of the Mummy has perfect cars. Four rows of four across seating. This could, and will be the train types. By the way, mailman, I totally agree with all three of your points.
  23. I wouldn't want to see Vortex go, but I would not mind seeing AE or TG leaving.
  24. I don't know when the TR:TR segment is on but on Extreme Rides 2003, Delirium is on. (Look for me riding on Delirium )
  25. PKI is cool but PKD is AWESOME! My vote may change depending on what PKI gets next year.
