I did death row once. I was not impressed. The guy taking me around was kind of rude - enough said. Normally it is a great attraction and I have a blast in there but this year just kind of lacked something. I only visited it once so please do not take that as it was not a great haunt!!! As I said normally it is awesome! I might have happened in on a bad night for them. Have to agree with you on CLUB BLOOD. I was able to "park" the chair and walked it. Thankfully a short attraction and that is possible. Well so I thought!!! Since a lot of the scareactors in there know me by name - it was an interesting experience!!! When we got to the jumper WOW lost a few years on him. My "friend" was telling me to go to this area as the path. Suddenly this FACE shoots out at me and I screamed so hard then fell against the wall!! I literally thought that guy was going to hit me!! Then Mike the DJ got me more than once and as did the others. I was surprised that Gator knew who I was as I was walking!! Leaving that attraction my legs were not exactly steady. Almost reached my chair when suddenly this yellow faced goblin jumps out at me. I screamed and busted up laughing!! That is how I do it - the stronger the laughter the more scared they got me! It is just awesome fun - Club Blood was much better this year!!! Does not matter where you go - Haunt is awesome!!

The attraction by the scrambler is MASSACRE MANOR and is an equally great haunt!! As for the sprayers - yea that is really a lot of water when it is that cold outside. I was lucky and wearing a poncho. Friday night I think the sprayers were shooting out a bit more water than before. I had water all over my poncho and for that kind of weather - yea maybe that could be turned off or at least greatly reduced. A light mist would be more acceptable.

Well they did replace her with something much more thrilling - Urgent Scare. Seems there are a few scare actors in and around there that tend freak folks out. Just wish they would ditch the spraying water at the end in this cold!!! I wore a rain poncho for it ha ha.

Or walk out with no voice from screaming all night???

Glad you had a great time!!! This was the first Friday night that I saw that many people!!!! The lines do start to reduce in size by around 10:30pm or so. Stay later and it is a lot easier to go to more haunts/rides. On the fog machines - yea what are they trying to do? Get high??? I saw some young teen girls doing it and said "hey girls that stuff really makes you stink later in the night!" LOL I am sooo mean. They believed me and left!! Some other teen boy looked like he was trying to get his sister lost in it. I asked him if he was trying to ditch her in the fog so he could be an only child again. I have to sit back and wonder what they are trying to do by sucking that nasty smelling stuff in?? Learning to smoke? They had wayyyyy too much fog Saturday night. It was hard to see most places we went. I nearly bought a lighted wand so that people would stop running into me. I did manage to purchase an adorable "Halloween Haunt" bear. Got a lot of compliments on that one!! I could not get angry at them because I could not see them either!!! KI PLEASEEEEEE a little less fog!!!!

Tombstone TerrorTory is always one of my favorite mazes. Especially since a lot of them know me and make sure to scare the crap out of me!! Honestly I see them scaring a lot of people and if the screams are anything to go by - well yea a lot of people get scared on the Tombstone Trail!! One of the train hosts incorporated me into the story line as the Saloon lady that Wally Sparks shoots dead so I guess that makes me a part of the trail? Well at least as far as Wally Sparks goes huh?? Teach me to ask him for another drink!!! Great trip report!!! I am so happy you had such a great time!!! I go to Haunt every operating night and it never seems to get old!! The scareactors/roamers/creepers/managers make this such a great time!!! The decorations can only go so far - it is the employees that get out there every night that make it a blast!!!

Yes I would like to hear a little more about the Fright Feast. Been thinking about trying it. Well not sure after seeing those pictures. Not too sure if I could eat with that much gore around ha ha. Weak stomach!!!

OMG I think I might steer clear of Action Zone!!!! I was there a few times Friday and Saturday nights but did not see this horrible thing so I guess I was real lucky!!!

Love your report and a great big HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Yes hun your children will grow so fast that these memories will seem like so long ago!! Mine are all grown with their own families and it really seemed to go so fast! Now we are watching the grandchildren growing up!! I have grandchildren that are the age of your boys and I am 52. Ok I have a few words on this topic as to where it has been heading. Well if you know me - quite a few words lol. Sorry folks!! You want Family Oriented Fun at Kings Island - no problem you got it. Go in the morning and leave by 6pm at the latest. You have all day - over 7 hours of fun to experience with the family. Then it transforms to a typical Halloween Haunt Event - only there is a heck of a lot more of it than anywhere else offers!! Consider this - $20+ bux at a typical haunted house and maybe at the most 45 minutes....now go to Kings Island with all of the houses, mazes, scarezones, and throw on top of that the awesome roamers/creepers and the hours of 7pm - 1am on Friday's and longer than that on Saturdays? hmmmmm great value there!! Yes there are things I am not fond of so I don't go in those areas - no one is going to be happy with everything!! Get the best out of the experience and only do what appeals to you. Some like the night time riding on some of the more intense rides. I have heard some that like to go around and do a little ghost hunting as Kings Island is rumored to have several there then you have the haunted house lovers that do their thing at the park. There are also shows for people that just go there for the shows and do not do the houses or rides. No one is complaining about USS Nightmare or any of the other places. You know when you go to those places what to expect because for some odd reason people actually READ those warnings. Kings Island Halloween Haunt has postings on their website, at the gate, all over the park and especially at the start of the shows as well as people there to warn you of the content yet constantly I keep hearing people complain about it?? Why??? IF sexual content bothers you then do not go. If you want to check it out and are worried about it - sit toward the back so you can leave without disturbing anyone else. I do not have any issue with the sexual content bothering anyone at all. Some things that bother me might not bother you. My issue is that with all of the warnings about it, those go ignored, people go, then get all hot and bothered about it and complain. Intreperter you have some awesome points and I for one have a great deal of respect for you. I agree with your point that if you don't like Haunt there are a lot of other places to spend your money. Be happy and do it!! As for Natalie Gibson in a nightie that one really blows me away.....people go to R rated movies or watch shows on regular tv and you see less than she has on. Go to a beach and see those bathing suits in broad daylight with a whole lot less than she wears. She barely shows her belly in that thing - what is so wrong with it? Is the show sexual in nature? Yea it is but I saw worse than that in the movie "dirty dancing" lol. Sorry but that is my take on it. I go in there and I am not uncomfortable in the least. If you are then that is fine. I guess because I am so old it does not effect me in that way any more. I tend to remember some people really going nuts when Barbara Eden showed her "belly button" in her jeanie outfit back in the 60's lol but then that kind of shows my age!! Natalie's breasts and other private areas are well hidden under the thickness of her costume. Take a real and honest close look at it lol. Ohh to bring a good point here on the Urgent Scare - Don Helbig was on a news report with some scenes from this attraction. This news report can be seen on YOUTUBE - just type in Kings Island and all kinds of things come up or type in Halloween Haunt. Either will get you that report. If you want to know some of the things you will see, that is what to check out - then remember - that was some of the things FIT for airing on TV during prime time. Ok now take it a step further and place the scare actors in there that will be moving around and going out of their way to scare you. When I went through that one I got physically sick at the gore in there. Am I upset about that? NO I was warned. It is just a very intense attraction. Worth going through?? Definately!!! I have gone through that one twice!!! Just a word of advice - Do not go after eating lol. Not a smart thing!!

Great pictures!!! Club Blood does have a "story line" to it. Now if I am not mistaken here - you go into a club owned by vampires. You are taken through various stages and rooms. I admit it is kind of hard to follow when getting scared but if you really pay attention to it the story will become really clear. I have not gone to it this year but can say that last year there were dancing vampires as you enter the club and an awesome DJ having some erie chat as you walk by and playing music. From there is where it gets more involved and I really can not say more as that would be a spoiler lol. Just go through it again later in the evening. By then the scareactors are really into the swing of things. I am sure Gator does a great job in there and sorry I am not doing that one this year lol. Maybe next. Never know.

a siggestion I might make on this - try the busy things after around 11pm. The lines all start to really decrease by then!!! That is when I hit the typically long line items.

I have to agree. That was an excellent trip report!!! I go to every single operating night of haunt and I have for the past three years. In all that time only missed ONE night and that was the first year. This year I will be going late on Halloween night to spend time with the grandbabies then heading over after the halloween hours here are over. As many times as I go there is something different each night. The scares are everywhere. People keep mentioning spoilers but how can you call them spoilers??? They are EVERYWHERE....no place is safe. I hope you are able to check out Urgent Scare, Death Row, the Haunted trail and Carnevil as well on your next trip!! All worth a look see!! As for Dead Awakening I am sure you would have enjoyed it more if not for being so worried about the small children. Try checking it out again and just sit around people your own age. It really is a good show so just relax and enjoy. I totally agree on the gouls gone wild!!! The singers do a great job and the surprises are awesome and funny!!

I keep hearing rumors that they are going to take down Vortex because it is 20 years old and it is falling apart lol. As for all of the people that have died at the park over the years - wow I would think that would have been splashed across all newspapers across the USA lol Funny I never read any of it???

Awwww I didn't????? lol.. Well I thought it was an awesome show and have seen it at least four times!! I don't want to spoil the fun but if anyone goes to see it - really pay attention to the mummy's surprise. One of the cutest parts is when the Frankenstein's monster sings "If you want my body and you think I'm sexy". That guy really gets into it!!! Again I like the warewolf singing to the kids in the audience - last night he jumped on a table of young adults right next to us!! I could go on and on about that show - it is a mixture of cute, funny, and just listening to the oldies is always a favorite of mine which is why I loved the summer shows so much. It only has a few adjustments that take it from kid friendly to Haunt worthy!! The Greet the Meat afterward is fun as well. The mummy has this awesome pose he gives that I was fortunate enough to get!!! Kings Island entertainment management is really good at finding awesome talent for their shows. Did Kevin have a hand in this production as well? I see him running around the place a lot.

How about I give one???? OMG As soon as I got into that haunt it was monster after monster. It was really neat how I could not tell what I was looking at was a monster or a statue! Boxes with people making noises, roamers following you or coming up behind you and saying things! Thick smog that made it difficult to see what was around and as it seemed to clear getting the wits scared out of me!!! There are things coming out from all over that place!!! Then as you think it is all over and head out the exit............well you can find that out for yourself!!! The Cemetery is a definate one to check out!!!! I wanted to go to it again Saturday but URGENT CARE line was so long we could not make it. I love the front of the park from 12:30am on as the roamers/creepers are all up front and it is like another wall of monsters!!!

You sure did!!! I did not think we were ever going to get away from you!!! That POP was awesome!!! I screamed loudly on that one - surprised you have hearing with all the screams you all hear each night!! Thanks for the agreements on the "I am not scared" individuals. Whether they pay or not you are going to get those that do this. Yea some will pay just to show off to their friends about what a stud muffin they are when in reality how brave is it?? The monsters/creepers/scareactors are NOT ALLOWED TO TOUCH YOU so where is the bravery in that?? Well I will stay off of too much of that soap box because trust me it boils me to no end when I see the employees at the park being treated like that!!! I know a lot of these people and every single one of them treats me with respect and are as nice as they can be!!! On a side note - to all of you that recognize me and come up to chat - thank you so much!!!!! That means the world to me when not only do you recognize me but are nice enough to talk to me and let me know who you are....it is great to put a face to a name on here. Since haunt I have had at least 10 people coming up to me and countless haunt scareactors/employees!!! I love it!!!!! As for the roamers/creepers - I can not say this enough - - - - YOU ALL ARE FANTASTIC!!! I have several favorites but that list keeps growing each week!!! LOL UncleHenry I did suspect that was you in the "NEW" look but was not sure!!! No matter what costume, you are an awesome roamer and I am happy to see you in that position!!!

hey Italian didn't you see them eating those body parts?? The mummy held his little jar of eyes!!! I thought it was really good and very funny in parts. The werewolf was very active!!! I thought it was adoreable that he came down to sing to the kids in front!!! Really a cute touch!! They had the meet and greet or as they say the "greet the meat" afterward which was also a nice touch. It was nice meeting you in person there buddy!!! Hope to see you again soon!

Trust me they are!!!!! Each year the creepers and roamers get even better!!! Seems like the repeaters are teaching the new ones very well!!

Normally I am a nice person but jump in that line in front of me and ohhhhh I WILL ask you to get back in your place and I WILL look for and inform a line operator - if nothing is done....well there are supervisors to speak to and I know what they look like and have no problems talking to them. I have heard complaints from various people in the park about the line jumpers from visitors to employees visiting the park on their off days. I understand if someone has to run to the potty with a child and the other spouse/friend holds their place in line - fine when you come back go ahead I have no issues as children need those potties when they need them so in that case I say nothing. Now what do you think about this one??? You send your family to get in line while you are a little slower at walking, using a cane or riding in a wheelchair. Once you get there you join your family already in line? Curious....about your opinions on this item. I get a handicapped pass as I come to the park. I have to have it to do anything at the park from rides to haunted items. I hate those things with a passion but understand their need. It is hard trying to get my chair into public relations with those stupid doors unless someone is nice enough to help me by opening them because unfortunately there is no nice little BUTTON to push that will automatically open them for me.....anyway what we do is my family member will go through the line and once at the end we notify the ride operator to let me on with the family/friend that stood in line with the others. Can you believe that people get mad at me for getting on the ride when we do it that way??? I mean I can easily get the stupid thing stamped - go and have a meal or watch a show - come back and get right on but we don't I sit at the end, not exactly an exciting thing to do lol and wait for my family to go through the lines with everyone else. What is up with that??

I rode SOB once and got so beat up that right there and then said NO MORE. I have not been on it since. Not worth that much pain!!! I was hurting for a week and all bruised up - had to get ice from first aid.

WOW where do I start on this one..... First off - no not many people sit on those rails because they are conducting themselves in a proper manner. Kings Island has rules that must be followed. The girl that told you NICELY to get down was doing you a favor. She could have had you ejected so really consider yourself lucky plus she is one of my friends and a very very sweet young lady that turns into a very demented person during haunt! Now second - if the roamers do not scare you that is fine - you are among those that don't scare so easily but why taunt them??? Do not be surprised if some of them decide to take on the challenge of scaring you. I have seen this happen. Once one had a young man of about 13 so scared he was laying on the ground and crying like a little baby!!! We laughed so hard that my stomach hurt for over an hour!!! WTG 2004 creeper!!! GO with the flow of the experience and have fun. Look and watch them scare others because that is just as much fun as being scared!!! I try hard to be a nice person but get rather ticked off when I see those guys/gals getting abused in anyway. I have been known to go up to those abusing them and saying some very harsh words. My personal opinion of the ROAMERS and CREEPERS is that they did a fantastic job!!! That is only me and of course I am a major fan of the roamers and creepers. There were so many creepers and roamers this year that it seemed no where was safe!!! I got so many scares that by the time I left the park Friday night I was losing my voice from screaming. What was left of my voice left me Saturday night. Yea I would say they did a great job. I have three levels of fear. Level one gets a good scream, two will get my arms flying in the air with that scream and if you get a scream, arms and legs you hit the jackpot. Well I got several level threes both nights. If you are not open to having a good time you will not have one. My real question for anyone here is - WHY go to HAUNT if you do not want to get scared or fight it? Go with the flow and have a BLAST. As YES that was me in the SKULL T SHIRT on Friday night. I had a black cape on the back of my chair that read "Karen Meal On Wheels" but it fell off lol. Saturday night I was wearing a T-SHIRT that was from Halloween Haunt last year given out to the people that worked haunt. I have my sources lol What can I say??? I am a fan of halloween and a major fan of Halloween Haunt!!

It sounds like a little girl is singing it and kind of eiry considering where it is sung lol. I kind of think that was lame really but heh to each his own lol You should check out Haunt - would love to see you there!!!
