I love fear fest - duh not hard to figure out but honestly The UNDERTAKER literally did scare me! I am jumpy by nature and it is kind of easy to get a good scream out of me. I love it and those that scared me got a kick out it too. It is something that I have endured most of my life and just turned it into something FUN. The Undertaker had a voice that literally worked wonderfully with that makeup they did for him. It would literally creep me out! That is his real voice too! He came up and talked to me before fear fest started one day and I was surprised. Thought it was his mic that made him sound like that!! Plus the man behind the mask is a trully nice man. Just goes to show you that Cedar Fair recognizes real talent. So many of their great scare actors and creepers are coming back! I just think it is awesome that talent scouts discovered him doing what he loves to do!!
  2. Great pictures and an awesome trip report!! I was there as well and got a lot of video and some interesting pictures...unfortunately I was not able to do the tours - they were not handicapped accessible - maybe next year they will be. My party had an awesome time!! Seeing those pictures does not let you know how much fun it was - those that did not go really and honestly missed a wonderful time!!! We were kept busy all day, given lots of interesting information and walked around with those VIP passes was also a pretty neat thing! Honestly the most fun I had was the scavenger hunt and meeting all of the wonderful people associated with this site. Great job on your pictures!!

Ok I am pretty sure that Mike Bundy is NOT coming back. He has been telling me of a great offer he has had with another haunt. Sobs on that one. Mike is a great guy and did a great job in all the years he has been a creeper/scare actor at the park. Still trying to throw hints at him to come back!! He is just so busy with his music career that there is really not a lot of time left. This other haunt has given him an offer he really does not want to refuse. Mike was always held back a bit at Kings Island. He is a really big fan of Halloween and scaring the crap out of people. As for ICP Creeper I haven't really seen him to talk to him in about two months or so. Friendship kind of fell off to the wayside sorry to say. He is a great guy and I still adore him but our lives were just kind of pulled in other directions. I know he was planning on returning this year but have not gotten around to asking him personally. So far have not heard of anyone that has seen him at any of the tryouts. Scott Brettl will not be back as he is serving our Country in the Marines! Anyone that has read my posts will know that Scott is one of my favorite creepers from last year. He will be coming back to this area in December! We keep in touch on a regular basis. He is a trully great young man! Now the great news!! Lots of new talent is coming our way in the creeper/scare actor department. Met a few that are going to be creepers/scare actors and have talked to some of the ones that are coming back for sure! I do know for sure that some of my great friends in the Hot Island Rhythm show will be among those out to give us a great "scare" time. Josh, Tim, and Natalie are among those that plan on taking a part in the fear fest activities!! Hopefully they can get others to do so as well! There is a character actor in the park that is going to remove his "Friendly" character costume for a more fearsome one as well....I might consider bringing some "snacks" to settle him down - wooof. If any of you know anyone that is going to come back please let me know. There were so many folks last year it is hard to keep track of all of them. Last year was a fantastic time for me and I was lucky enough to have made some great friends among them. Unfortunately Dane Thomas (chainsaw dude) is not planning on doing fear fest! This extremely intelligent and talented young man has gotten a great job that is keeping him extremely busy. Plus you all know he works very hard on this website as well! Ohhhhh another returning person - - - - UNDERTAKER is coming back and his range is larger - no one is safe now!
  4. Yea I bet you were exhausted!!! We kept losing each other! Sorry I was not able to spend more time with you!!
  5. Karen replied to The Undertaker's topic in Kings Island
Ok I hear some "treats"????? I now not only have to watch the Front gate but now I have to watch out for the Undertaker thoughout the park?? Oh noooooooooo where will I hide? Is he out digging my grave as we speak? He sure threatened me a lot over fear fest and the Undertaker makes "house calls" so to speak. Picture this - I am at my son's home with another creeper from Fear Fest. We are all having fun playing a Nitendo Wii game. My cell phone goes off. I answer it and I hear this "Kkkkkkkkaaaarrrreeeeennnnnnnnn" ok naturally I throw the phone!! My other creeper friend picks it up, finds out who is on the other end and starts laughing. Yes none other than the Undertaker making sure that I am well aware that even though it is not fear fest season - YET - he is still out there, somewhere, digging my grave. I have also been getting other threats from other creepy ghoulies. Had a few creepers this past Saturday, August 4th at the KICentral event stalking me and making sure that I remained in a jumpy state. Innocently riding my Kings Island Scooter on our tours and suddenly.....without warning......screaching.....jumping out of hidden places....it is not safe at Kings Island even during the regular season and in broad day light...oh noooooooooo what will fear fest be like this year??? The ghoulies are not being well contained in the off season. Something has stirred them up and they are creeping out early......help usssssssssssssssss.
  6. For the price that we paid you are not getting prime rib!! I think we got great bang for the buck!! I am sure our fees paid for not only the meal but the materials used to make our day much easier. Don't know about others but I sure liked walking around the park with a VIP pass and watching people thinking I was someone important to have a VIP pass and going into areas that they know they are not allowed in!! Did anyone happen to notice our meal tickets??? There is a discounted coupon so that you can come back at a reduced rate or bring a friend for a nice discount. Basically I would think our "event" was honestly free if that discount is used.
  7. Ok touchdown that one made no sense to me!! Put a face to a name here - remember the big woman in a Kings Island power skooter and you got ME. I am the one with a 9 year old that asked a lot of questions to the people at the Summer on Ice show lol. Yeaaaaa that one. No fear with that child!!! Ohh quickly - loved the questions asked!! It was sooo nice getting to know the Summer on Ice people - that show is awesome and I knew Mike had to be of olympic quality, he is awesome to watch. The four main stars are all great but Greg and Mike tend to really stand out. First off - thanks to Dane, Josh, Don, and Ryan - you could not have done a better job!!! Everyone I spoke with enjoyed themselves!! We were kept busy all day with fun activities and interesting facts for Kings Island addicts! Yea face it we are addicted to the park!! The scavenger hunt was my favorite!! I was able to give Josh a hard time over some of his sneaky tricks!! Come on taking a picture of a picture of a tire??? Good one!!! It was a lot of fun comparing notes - even thought I don't think we were suppose to but hey - comparing notes helped me to meet more KICentral folks!! Thanks to my new buddies!!! Hey look me up and please message me!! We must meet up for fear fest too!! Honestly I had just a fantastic time all day long!! Had not planned on staying all day as, like others, did not get a lot of sleep. My daughter decides to pick the day before to have me at the emergency room with her from 7:30pm - 2am - rush home - tried to sleep from 3am - 6am - then spent the entire day at Kings Island? Ok it is 3:13am and I am still awake!!! Busting with wanting to tell everyone that did not go what you missed out on!!!! It was a totally awesome day!! One of my very best this year!! In 35 years of going to Kings Island it ranks up there in the top 10 trust me!!! Yes daughter is fine - long story short - tummy pains - nothing wrong - pain shot - go home. For those of you with children - she is 21 years old need I say more??? he he JOKING!!!!! GEESE ha ha Meeting some of the Survivor Series folks was a major plus!!! Nero, PKIVortex were among some of my favorites to finally get to meet!!! Wish I could have met Avatar, Railroader and a few others!!! We had such a great time during the season it would have been great meeting the people I spent so much time in private chat with!!! Special thank you to Hauntguy!! It was awesome seeing you without the fear fest make up finally!!! To those that I met for the first time, those I have talked to for a long time and finally met face to face and those that I get to see often and not so often - I hope we get to meet up soon and please please keep in touch!!! I have facebook and myspace plus you can message me on this site too. Again thanks soooo much to those that worked so very hard on this event!!! You can tell they put a lot of time and effort into this event because it went so smoothly and from everyone I spoke with - NO COMPLAINTS!!! Let's do this again!!!! Oh and what heat??? It was hot??? Wow had so much fun don't think I stopped long enough to realize the temperature!! See what happens when you are having a great time??
  8. Adding a few more names to this list!!! Happy to see some of the survivor game folks going too!! 9. I tried to get my tickets but it requires a password??? What it is so I can get mine!!! Come on you can not deny the fear fest mascot!!! Want more than anything to meet the people at the ICE SHOW!!! Seen that a lot!! Already buddies with the people at the other shows. Ya all know me.
  10. Hey what about our handicapped guests?? Will all of this be accessible to me? I will need to "rent" an electric scooter for the day as my wheelchair is broken at the moment. Have to wait a year to get another one.
  11. Karen replied to Karen's topic in Trip Reports
Hey if you see us there again - come on over and tell me hello and who you are!! I always look forward to meeting the great people who post on here. Actually have made new friends from here. Yes that IS my youngest daughter. Often I go there with my older daughter and her family as well. I am not hard to spot!! My wheelchair is kind of hard to miss lol. I can walk but not very far. Hope next time you come and say hello!! As for the performers - yes they work very hard. Before and after the show they are out working the crowds and looking for people that will help them with interaction. Josh has to look for help with the "Conga Line" and his target for Buttercup solo, and one of the girls looks for her male victim for Island Girl! After each show they walk around mingling and getting pictures taken. There is no doubt in my mind they earn their pay - most shows are high energy dancing in all kinds of weather. During the summer you have to understand they are dancing around when most people can barely move because of the heat!! Yes they do several shows but remember there is set up and take down with each performance then the final close out of all props at the end of the day.
  12. Ok first off - IF YOU ARE CAUGHT EATING AT YOUR CAR or Bringing coolers into the park you WILL GET EJECTED....read the signs at the entrance. It is clearly stated - NO COOLERS and there is also signs saying NO FOOD TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE PARK. They frown strongly on eating at your cars and I am not risking losing my GOLD PASS over saving a few bux. To me it is more expensive to lose my pass especially when I love fear fest so much and want to go to every day of it so no thanks.... Now you can take your family OUTSIDE of the parking lot - I am sure there are parks all over the place if you just look but really it is a major hassle having to leave the park and come back again. For me it is just not worth it - I have a very heavy electric wheelchair and it is a royal pain taking it in and out of the car so we just deal with the high prices. We eat before we get to the park - grab a coney at 2.oo each then a few drinks - you can always fill your cups up at any water fountain for free if you are that worried about the price - on really hot days we do but not for saving money - it is just better to drink water on hot days. You know "Stadium Food" is expensive - more so than Kings Island and I don't hear a lot of complaint about that - what I hear is that it is traditional lol. Yea I do feel the prices are extremely TOO HIGH and would love Cedar Fair to adjust it in the right direction. Now for the merchandise - come on folks let's get some more interesting things in those shops!!! I collect INK PENS, TACK PINS, and KEY CHAINS and right now the pickings are really slim there. The shirts just lack the usual luster of years past and I just wish they would offer a larger variety. Bring back the GLASS SHOP!!! There were things in there that you could personalize that made awesome gifts to special people in your lives. Wellll plus one of the workers there is a close personal friend he he he. He would not go back now as he is working a much better job but yea my ICPCreeper used to work in that shop and both of us were surprised to see it gone - that was a place I never missed.
  13. Actually I love it the way it is right now. My daughter and I go to Kings Island each week and that is a great place to just go and talk - relax and it is a very peaceful parklike setting. The stones could tell the Kings Island Story so I would just redo them in that manner. Possibly add a few more benches and allow that part to be a place to let parents and grandparents catch a few minutes of peace, a place to reflect, possibly place some nice flowers in there and turn it into an AMERICAN BEAUTY garden of sorts. Why put in a Japanese garden in an American Amusement Park? Makes no sense I am sorry hun. The waterfall is breath taking and a place where young lovers are often seen getting their pictures taken. I have even seen families posing for pictures there because of it's senic beauty. Just add to it's tranqual beauty - not a major change - just some nice touches but honestly I would keep it peaceful. It has lots of shade, and in the midst of an amusement park it is really pretty quiet. I know we were really tense and went there for a bit. After an hour of talking and just taking in the beauty of it all we left much more relaxed and enjoyed the rest of our day more fully. Sometimes park visitors are mean and unthinking so after awhile it gets to you. That is a great place to unwind for a bit.
  14. Has anyone caught the Hot Island Rhythm show???? This Mother's Day they added a nice surprise - they included a Happy Mother's Day to all Mothers as their show started!! I thought that was really nice and was told that if anyone has a birthday, anniversary or any other special day mention it to a cast member and they will announce it!! Awesome! I go to Kings Island on Sundays and have not missed too many of those shows. Gotten to know the cast a bit. Yea those that know me know that I tend to do that. Josh Hobbs is an aspiring dance/music man and Tim Williams is an aspiring political mind. Both are awesome men and do a fantastic job in that show. The women have changed each week it seems so I have not really gotten to know any of them. Tim has a part time replacement - Brandon. Brandon just started on the show this week and seems needs a bit more rehearsal time. He has a nice voice but tends to try to over shadow the other performers and this is a GROUP show. Brandon has promise but really needs to pay attention to the other performers as he is often out of step. Josh and Tim seem to be in perfect sync. I have to give Brandon credit for some quick thinking. There is a song that he is to sing to a member of the crowd with "brown eyes". Well this past week the woman refused to get up so he simply said "then I will stay right here and sing to you!" which he did. It turned out well. Josh had to improvise once too. On his song "Island Girl" the guy picked from the crowd was taking a bit longer so Josh ran to the crowd and sang to them while the others got the message out to the female singer/male participant to get a move on - it was seamless and looked like it was part of the real show. Now that to me was awesome team work!!! OHHHH that song alone is worth seeing that show!!! They pick out a male member of the crowd.....Josh starts singing and they bring him out in a hula skirt. Most men are playful and go with the flow. It is extremely funny!!! This show is a great crowd interaction show. The singers pass out hawiian lei's during two seperate parts, Josh and Tim each sing to a lucky member of the audience - yes I was sung to!! During Josh's song "buttercup" he kept pointing to me. I was getting a bit curious as to why then suddenly he comes off of the stage singing the song directly to me. It was a great moment!! He teased me after the show about it. Normally this is reserved for the young ladies (5 - 12 year range lol) in the audience and trust me it is totally adorable to watch.
  15. Well mother's day it was very slow but I did not find it too busy on May 20th. If you want to go on weekends it is always better to go on Sundays. Usually the park is almost empty until around 2pm then it picks up for a few hours and slows down again around 5 or 6pm then is almost empty by closing.
  16. Karen replied to JxAx's topic in KI Polls
NOOOO doubt it has to be Vortex!!!! Loops, upside down, drops is there anything this ride does not have??? Come on Vortex!!!!
  17. I got a cute story that Dane might appreciate. I love his sense of humor! Years and years ago, when my mother was in school - now mind you I am 51 so this is a long time ago. My mom and her class went on a tour of the local mortuary to see how they handle the dead and also went to a crematorium when it was legal to do so. Why a school would take students there is a good question. Guess back then there were not a lot of factories they could tour. Well mom and her friend were at the crematorium when they got a little lost of the tour, knowing my mother they were up to no good! They wandered into a casket room. In this room were the cheaper caskets that they put bodies to be cremated in. Ok mom walks close to a casket, touched the lid lightly......her friend grabbed her shoulder.....needless to say my mother jumped and screamed so loud that the class ran to see what happened. There was my mother and her friend looking like they saw a ghost- I think she got in trouble for wandering off but I was told that on future school trips she stuck with her class lol. I can tell you that my mother refuses to get near a crematorium and it was a long time before she would go to a funeral. Hmmmmm wonder what was in that box????
  18. You are quite right and I was very much in the wrong but did not know at the time. The parking lot is on the opposite side of the road from the factory and anyone driving by would not consider it part of the porperty at night because you can not see the destroyed remains. There are not any signs in the very small parking lot area but there are signs on the building lot and on the building. The building has a parking area through a drive that is between the front sections of the building that people would have thought was the only parking lot for the factory. In my area all factorys have their parking on the same side of the road and on the grounds - none have anything across the road. So that is my defense on private property. If I had known that the parking lot - which is just a small section of gravel basically - was a part of that property I would NOT HAVE PARKED THERE as there are several places along the road where you can pull off and do so legally. So to clarify my "tresspassing on private property" at the time I did not know that was the factory parking lot. The charges of tresspassing were dropped when we went to court. My daughter had a purple light on her license plate, which is illegal in Ohio - again we did not know as we live in Kentucky, and we did get a small ticket on that. WE have removed the purple light lol. Hey you know how kids like to soup up their cars lol.
  19. To add to the information about the Peters Cartridge Factory. It is a very dangerous place. You are not allowed to even slow down around there at night as the Police WILL ARREST YOU. There are signs stating "NO TRESSPASSING FROM DUSK TO DAWN" Now there are businesses that do operate in the factory in the back sections. One has to do with guitars. During the day you can park there and take walks with no issues but once it becomes dark you are not allowed to even turn around in the parking lot. The story with the factory is that it was used during the wars. They made amunitions. There were several explosions due to the nature of the business and many lifes were lost. One major explosion blew up the entire building that used to be across the road from the one that remains standing. If you look at the walkway bridge you will see that it is open at the end where it used to connect to the building. You can also see parts of the foundation around the parking lot. Three hundrend people were killed during the final explosion. Another story I was told is that a man took hostages up into the tower. All hostages were killed with the man killing himself. There are other stories as well. I have heard things from people who lost their relatives there. I have a website that has several pictures taken at the factory during several visits at night. Yes I have many hundreds of orbs, figures, and actual faces. One of my attacks I lifted the camera and took a picture - got several faces that were within inches of my head. The worst attack my daughter saw a black film over our car where I was sitting. She took a picture and when developed we got a very clear yellow orb. When the orb was enlarged there was a definate face looking directly at me. During that attack I screamed and beat on the window for several minutes - despite people being within a few feet of me they could not hear me. That particular attack went on for several minutes. I have since refused to go back other than during the day. For the person that stated spirits can not hurt you I think this clearly shows that yes they certainly can! My attacks continue on and are by a very dangerous demon - Bali for those that know spiritual demons will know what this means. It is not a good thing. SO my advice to all is to stay away from that place at night - it is dangerous and certainly not for the people that just want to catch a spirit. A friend of mine and I were turning around in the parking lot and got ticketed by the police. Yea we were going to stop for a bit and just take pictures of the factory but when we caught the police behind us we were "turning around" but the police did not care for explainations and ticketed us. They are very nasty about that place. I will answer questions about this in private pm and only to those that are not rude about this. It is a serious thing that haunts me still.
  20. I have gone on several haunting trips around the Northern Kentucky and Southern Ohio areas and would gladly show you some of the ones I have discovered that has actual activity that I have captured on photo and film. Give me a time and date - count me in.
  21. Karen replied to ICPcreeper's topic in Rumors
Hun I do not know where you were but yea they had I think a total of 11 creepers - just they stayed in Coney Maul or at the front gate. Most were wandering around in Coney Maul. I know this because I spent my entire time watching them and getting scared by them. I ended up making friends with some of them as well as others in some of the haunted houses. One became my very best friend. SO yea they were there and I honestly think this year was better than any past years!!
  22. Karen replied to ICPcreeper's topic in Rumors
To explain this - I am having fun with ICPcreeper - he is my very best friend and one of the very best creepers at the park - he knows this!! Other fantastic creepers - awww you all know them if you read any of my posts!! Unfortunately one will not be back next year as he is in the marines now - just finishing up boot camp - Scott Brettl. He was the one that had what looked like a kidney face and dressed all in black. His brother Chris was a past creeper and a very good one too!!! Chris is now living in Texas. An interesting note to other creeper fans - Mike Bundy the very very tall red headed creeper is getting ready to release a CD from his band ADIPOCERE - will let you know when it comes out so you can buy your own copy!! They have amazing talent and I think you will all be very n icely surprised at what you hear!!
  23. Karen replied to ICPcreeper's topic in Rumors
Ok an update - ICPcreeper has continued to scare me and has YET to top UncleHenry's scare but he is still working on it - UncleHenry I have to say that plate glass window did get rather close when you got me!!!
  24. Ok I have not read all of the posts but am going to answer this based on personal experience. YES Kings Island IS HAUNTED. There was a boy named Johnny that fell from the Tower in the front of the Park. I often drive by that and see him looking out across the highway watching cars go by. Yes believe it or not I have seen this kid - no there is no one at the park at the times I see him and no one in the tower as I do know people that working with the folks that run it so trust me this is a very true thing. There is also a few other ghosts that wonder the place. I am far from the only person to see and feel these spirits. The woman who fell out of Flight Commander is felt or seen in and around the area she fell. There is a young girl that hangs around one of the various lakes at the park and a few other people that have decided Kings Island was a great place to hang out after death. Are any of them dangerous or scary - NO and no one will ever find any danger from them. THey are merely curious about you as you wander by them at night - nothing more. There is an extremely haunted location not far from Kings Island that I do not advise anyone to check out as I have some very bad experiences from that place. The Peter's Cartridge Factory j ust down the road and around the corner - word to the wise do not go there at night as you will live to regret it has I have and continue to. During the day it is harmless but at night - especially after midnight it has been known to take on a life of it's own.
