  1. At the risk of sounding even more strange than I am - it is TOWER JOHNNY and he does exist - I have actually seen him wandering around at night. Enough said.
  2. Well folks it is almost over and I was just thinking it might be a good thing to start a thread of what people really thought about not just one trip but all of your total trips for this year. I have made comments all over these trip reports so my opinions are very well known. I would just like to see your comments - please keep them either positive or if complaints offer them in a constructive way. Not just what was wrong but what would you do to make it better. Get specific on that - not just control the lines better but how would you control those lines. This is about not just one trip but your entire experience with the actual Haunt activities. Not the rides but the Haunt Attractions themselves and the various scare actors you might have encountered. My entire experience was very positive. Yes there were good and bad times but there are those in every experience in life. I just really saw the effort put into Haunt this year - much more so than last year. Yes there was a lot of Hype but if you really looked and paid attention you will see it was well deserved. I saw a creeper that I think I saw him sliding on his equipment once or twice and but the others I saw were attacking me and everyone they could find every chance they got. The roamers were a big improvement as we actually had some this year!!! The little alien turned mad and crazy clown was awesome. Several roamers in the Rivertown area were simply fantastic and after everyone they could find. How they made it through the night is anyone's guess as they were constantly on the prowl. The Wall of Monsters was probably the best improvement I saw this year!!! It was awesome to see so much activity and screaming while the sun was still out!!! I would not leave that area until the roamers/scareactors went off to their haunt locations because I had so much fun there!! Wow they were getting everyone before they could get out of security on Friday nights!!! They did the wall on one or two Saturday's too but mostly it was on Friday nights!!! I have one night of it on YOUTUBE under my name there - FearFestKaren. Yea I made that name up last year lol. It is called Wall of Monsters and there are two parts to it. That woman with the baby carriage was simply great to watch along with her "cowboy" husband!!! They were crazy and her whole attitude when doing her little baby routine was fantastic!! Even the cowboy at the picture place in Rivertown got into the act when they were around!! The action down in Action Zone was simply fantastic and I found myself going there any time we had a few moments to spare just to watch the Hazzardous waste fellows do their thing!!! The two creepers there were great to watch too and very very active going after people. One of them was always slidding after someone!!! Coney Maul was not as active as other zones but I did manage to see some of the creepers roaming in that area here and there. It was so hard to see because most people seemed to flock to that area and yes even on Friday nights it was rather crowded. The attractions/houses were discussed a lot but I wanted to spend a little time on the roamers/creepers too. What was your over all experience?
  3. I agree it is a very good trip report. I do not agree on some of your comments but totally agree in the way you made them - not as simply insulting but as constructive remarks to be looked at. I have been to all of the attractions and will admit that some do have open spots but that is totally up to when you visit them as at a certain time the younger scare actors must be clocked out by midnight. I went to Trail of Terror - past the Tassles the "witch" - I did enjoy her insults and bantering very much but then I do not go on those sites you mentioned so to me they were fresh. Possibly to others they were as well as not everyone is into the same things. As for the Trail Of Terror they did not do a conga line but I did not enjoy that much because of the very rough path. I am in a wheelchair. I used Kings Island Scooters provided on that particular trail and the park hosts were nice enough to drive my chair to the end of the trail for me. Still the trail was so rough that I spent more time trying to navagate and was not able to get a great deal of enjoyment out of it. Still what I did was very much fun and I did receive enough scares to make it worth while once. The path is wheelchair accessible but with great difficulty. I sincerely hope you can attend it again on a less crowded day as some of the attractions you did not go to are really awesome! Massacre Manor, Tombstone TerrorTory, Death Row and The Cemetery are among my favorites this year. I have gone to each attraction, except Trail of Terror, at least twice and each time the experience was different. Some days are simply better than others.
  4. skjackson I get your point and your complaints. Just your delivery was a tad bit arrogant which is what likely got people just a little upset. You really came out attacking the park with your "attitude". If you have complaints it is nice to pepper them with some nice things too. I love Halloween Haunt no matter what day I go and truthfully, having been on all of the attractions and going all days not only this year but last year as well and this would make me an expert on this too. Having gone on all days I can say there are better days than others. Never judge ONE trip - it would be better to form your opinions on visiting on at least a few days. I have had issues on some days too but it is NOT with Kings Island employees. It is with park visitors. Being in a wheelchair I am often walked into, stepped on, and made fun of. I sat behind Skyline and had some boys making fun of me trying to eat. I have had park visitors making fun of me for being heavy and in a wheelchair. Trust me when I say that if any of the scareactors/sliders/or even roamers had seen it they would have jumped to my defense as each one of them are awesome people. They would not do it because most of them know me but because they are like this toward everyone. My complaint would be more security for those employees because the same jerks making fun of me are attacking, punching, abusing them. I have several friends that have been abused by park visitors and left with marks over this. Real pathetic for these jerks to hit people that they know are not allowed to defend themselves. I want to be there one day to see this happen - ohhhh my wheelchair toggle switch can get jamed sometimes and I might just BUMP their ignorant feet!! Aww just a thought. I grew up in Southern California when Knotts Berry Farm was a joke as far as amusement parks go and am very happy it has gotten a lot better - to me that is awesome!! I always loved Knott's Berry Farm. I also talk with a young woman that is extremely knowledgable of many amusement parks as her family has traveled to most of them over her father's career. We talk quite a bit and she has compared many to Kings Island. Does Kings Island need to change? Yes they all do. Is there room for improvement? Of course there will always be room for improvement. The secret is to look at what is working. What did you enjoy about your trip? Highlight that and mention the things you did not like in a more constructive way and you will not get the reaction that you did get. I have seen the sign for the restaurant and all nights so far and the sign is in the right place. Someone might have moved it that ONE night to do something and forgot to put it back again. I have had the priviledge of eating in that restaurant prior to Haunt and the food, even thought the menu was just common food - my kind of food lol, it was really good. Kings Island Haunt is much better than Fear Fest ever was. Next years Haunt will be even better than this years Haunt because Cedar Fair is all about improving and moving ahead. So let's all calm down and if you have complaints try to pepper it with compliments and be constructive and not flat out insulting. Most of the people that post on this sight really love the park as I do too. I am a lot older than you are and I have been going to that park since it was still Coney Island. I have seen improvements through out the years.

Quick question...anyone know what happened to Undertaker's return? And, wasn't he supposed to be in some commercials as well? The Undertaker is not coming aback due to health reasons. I am sorry to report - he is a buddy of mine. We have all begged but he is simply not able to do it.

Please Please do NOT get a Razr - they are known for breaking down and are a total piece of wasted parts!!!! I have had a razr for two years now and unless I wanted to buy another type of phone - why should I being on a plan and insured I was stuck replacing this piece of crap for the past two years - I have sent it back 4 times for mine and 6 for my daughters - no we are not hard on them - I keep mine protected and padded to make it last that few weeks longer. She is not hard on hers either. They are just made horribly!!!!! My contract ends this December and I am out of T-Mobile and no more Razr's for me!!! I tried to work with T-mobile to get them to admit the razr is crap and work with me to get a different phone because I paid 100 plus the contract for this stupid razr - it's retail was $250 at the time and I think more now. They will get me the next generation razr but those are worthless too. yes I had a horrible time with mine. All five of mine and all 7 of my daughter's.
  7. I can say that I noticed something this year as opposed to last year - Fear Fest was super busy the first two weekends then really slacked off toward the end. But this year it seems to have really kept the crowds coming. Fridays have even been pretty busy - not as busy as Saturdays but pretty busy still. Yes I would believe that Saturday will be very packed. Barebones there will not be as many attractions going - not sure what they are keeping open or not but so far Tombstone TerrorTory and Death Row are open as far as I know.
  8. Great job on that Interview!!!! I am sooo glad you decided to do something like this and I certainly hope that those having issues with the show read it. Maybe to know that there was this much throught and work put into it then possibly some realization that they do really know what they are dong. I attended all of the shows this year and found them better than anything I have ever seen at Kings Island. Kevin and Adam do a fantastic job. What was so great about this year is that you can go more than once and still not be bored!! I know that I went to the summer shows more than ten times each and still loved them. Unfortunately at Dead Awakening because there are so many other things that I can and must do there simply is not the time. Hot Island Rhythm with the addition of crowd interactions by the performers made it a much more enjoyable show as I was able to get to know some of the performers so for me it became a little more personal. They are a great group of people and just talking to them you can easily see they are really great people too!! Thanks Kevin and Adam for a fantastic summer!!!!
  9. I have met and gotten to know Miss Gibson a little bit. She is a very nice and very approachable young woman. I think very highly of her. SHe was not only in Twisting to the Sixties show but also part of the Hot Island Rhythms show. Anyone that took the time to see that show could have easily not only talked to Natalie but also gotten several pictures with her. I know we did and she was as sweet as she could be to everyone. I think she has amazing talent and it shows in Dead Awakening along with her performances all summer long.
  10. Welcome to the website hunny!!! Watch and you will be just as notorious as I am he he.

  11. Yeaaaa you knew this was not getting past me lol. Ok as for the lack of sound on the train - the green train is likely the one you were on. The guy in the Cowboy hat is Scott and when he has a speaker he is quite entertaining! The entire speaker system on the green train failed - it has not worked the past two weekends that I have noticed. The open spaces is mostly because you choose to go late at night - they have a lot of younger scareactors on that trail - by law - must leave by 10:30pm I believe. I have noticed younger ones in there and I pretty much knew the law pretaining to it. If you go again please try this one BEFORE 10pm and you will have a much different take and try to get on either the first section of the green train or take the red one which has a fully working speaker system. As for Hauntguy, trust me the first time he was FINALLY on the actual trail and not one of our entertaining hosts - he scared me so badly that I lost my voice - well it was a combination of all of them. The only part of Tombstone TerrorTory that I find rather boring is the little girl wandering around asking if people have seen her father - put more into it hun - really LOOK like you are looking for your father as you are a lost little girl. In all honestly please check tis haunt out earlier in the evening and trust me your experience will be different. By the way my son-in-law is part of that haunt as well as another KICentral poster - fairewitch. All of them do an excellent job and have had me screaming each time I have visited the haunt - which is every operating night. Great trip report and I really do like your notes - you went with the expectations of filing a trip report - great job!!
  12. Screaming by the tower hmmmmm???? Wondering if that is not possibly from my friend's haunt - The Cemetery??? Chris was a creeper last year and managing The Cemetery this year - seems to me there is an aweful lot of screaming going on in there....I know when I went through it we were all in a hurry to get out of it!! Those zombies were coming out of everywhere!!
  13. I may have to take you up on that offer! I can usually get my husband to sit with me. He did sit through Hot Island and Twistin to the 60s. I'm not sure if he liked them, especially Hot island but I liked them a lot. I think that I embarrass him sometimes because I tend to sing along and if I had ANY rhythm I would get up and dance. I know, I'm a dork, but I can't help it! Coastergirl, you are so on with this one!!! If the shows next year are any where near as good as they were this year you got a show partner!! Believe it or not I gained other show partners and friends due to these shows. They were really good and others felt the same so we kind of met up and watched them together quite a bit. I was also fortunate enough to have met some of the parents who thanked me a lot for putting those shows on YOUTUBE. LOL As for the Original Dead Awakening show on youtube - it was a horrible job - most of the parts were missing - the issue has been found and I am currently getting them taken down and redone with everything intact. By Wednesday the original Dead Awakening will be on Youtube. Before the changes started to take place. As for the suicide of Josh Hobbs character - I really did not think it was glorified - more so he was crying out 'is anyone out there?" to me he was crying out for help that was not there.. as "it's getting harder and harder to breath" harder to live with the heavy burden. Cries for help that family and friends often do not see or hear. But that is just my take on that part. As for the story line - you have to be open enough to get your own take on that. Basically there was an accident - and to me she was in a "coma" and dreaming this before her ultimate death. Possibly her wanting to go faster and faster was a result of her "boyfriend's" suicide. The real upside down car aludes to the fact there was a serious accident, maybe her own attempts at suicide, and the show takes it from there. As for the halloween relevance?? Did you happen to see all of the goulish dancers??? Looks of death?? Not all of halloween is pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns. I believe I saw several zombies and last I looked that was part of a halloween theme. Cemetery Tombstones all over - check out those names on the stones lol. I guess I really paid attention and saw past the costumes and dancing to see something more. As for being forced to hear the music - what music stations do you listen to?? Those were contempory songs played on most rock stations. Kings Island regularly plays music all over the park from the same artists that originated the Dead Awakening songs so that comment is kind of out in left field. Unless you listen to country or other types of rock. Those songs are not even hard rock - more so easy to medium rock. Did you happen to catch a song by Britney spears - Toxic, and Evanescense - Bring me to Life?? Not exactly hard rock there. Welcome to my nightmare I believe is an Alice Cooper song but one of his slower ones!! My daughter could tell you all of the original recording artists. Honestly I did not see anything out there that was all that suggestive - they wore more clothes than you catch at the local swimming place and no one has issues with that...the dancing was not that suggestive in my opinion I am sorry. I have seen a lot worse than that on music videos that typically parents have no problems letting their children watch. Haunted Halloween type things are rarely ever for children under 13 years of age. The 13 and under variety usually go to places like Burget Farm or those cute hayrides through out the area. I think Nick or Treat is an awesome place to take the kids as well. Maybe it is the kid in me but I honestly have a lot of fun doing the Nick or Treat things with my grandchildren. There is a lot in Kings Island Halloween events that honestly appeal to me. Basically if Dead Awakening is not for you - please do not go. Again and I have said this over and over all over the site - read, gather information and make knowledgable decisions on where you want to go and the things that interest you but please do not expect others to feel the same way that you do. I sure don't. I like the shows this year. I feel that Kevin has outdone himself on them and Adam has done an excellent job as well. The preformers worked hard and in extremely hot temperatures. But that is just ME. All of us are ONE of many people that visit the park each year. I do not want them to "sit back and re-evaluate" things and water them down. That, to me anyway, is trying to force censorship on others. If they water down that show are they next going to water down the scares in the haunts at Kings Island too?
  14. Ok ruffle my feathers a little here hun - I am in a wheelchair and trust me they do target me and others in wheelchairs as well. Those "spooks" are targeting everyone and should!! Do not go to a haunt without the expectation of getting scared because this year you will get it!! ha ha. Wow you want a hot topic on dead awakening then check out the polls lol. WOW... The Biohazzard guy - grimreaper - targets everyone!! He will come out of nowhere and when you least expect to see him. I was seeing something white dodging in and out of the crowd then suddenly he was right in front of me running right to me then took off. Scared me to death!! Or I will be watching that alien under the tower in Action Zone and suddenly some trash can is slamming behind me. He spends a bit of his time scaring the crap out of me!! The other night I saw him with his can just standing there. I went up to him and suddenly he opens that can and this THING pops out!! OMG I nearly lost it!!! Now my secret - I LOVE TO GET SCARED and these "spooks" love to scare. The better the scare the harder I laugh afterwards!! If you do not want a lot of scares - what are you doing at Halloween Haunt?? Oh they do have "safe" zones. Restrooms, restaurants, first aid but pretty much everything else is open hunting season for them. Picture it this way - this is spook hunting season and we are the game. This wheelchair lady has a huge target on my back and it is often hit!! When I do see people that appear meek......fair warning....I will grab one of my buddies and point them out and watch the fun of seeing them run like the wind. Another warning - there is the blue faced alien - well if he even senses a weakness it is not unusual for him to chase those easily frightened way out of Action Zone!! Do not think you are safe in coney maul as they have wild and demented carney guys that come from out of no where sliding right up to you. Then you walk over to rivertown and there is another assortment of roaming spooks - beware the man with the fat lip or the bald guy with no hair. Then there is this warewold that is rather loud when you least espect it. He likes to see his victims turn white before attacking. Ohhh yea there is some green faced creeper that is often seen coming out of no where and chasing people or sliding after them and even crawling after their feet knowing he can weaking them that way. Have a great time!!!

Hey sweetie I am so happy you had such a great day with your father - nice to know he is feeling well enough to make a trip like that!! Wish I could have met him!! Great trip report!! I am likely going to take Bree this Sunday as a promised day of Nick or Treat!! Wow Haunt Friday and Saturday then day trip with a six year old on Sunday too - hmmmm might have to scrape me off of the ground lol.
  16. Wow what a hot topic. First off I not only went to the Hot Island Rhythm shows and the twisting to the sixties shows - I made sure that I went to most of them each of my visits. Kevin and Adam did a great job. I am lucky enough to speak to Adam on a regular basis and have a great deal of respect for him and his awesome abilities. I also think that Kevin has done a fantastic job on the shows - I do not agree with every one of his decisions but as for the shows - yes he has a great deal of talent and did an awesome job!! As for coastergirl hun we will have to see if we can get together on those shows because I enjoyed them and was often alone watching them. Somehow my Hot Island Rhythm friends did not let me feel too alone as they would sit in my area during the ice shows and surprised me on one of the shows. I had parked my scooter in the slot for it and sat in the middle section so as not to block the view of others. Well I heard someone shouting my name and looked over to see two full rows of young adults waving at me!! Yes it was the cast of the summer shows. I felt like the most special person on earth to have so many wonderful people that excited to see me!! They are not only talented people but they are also extremely nice and well mannered college kids. After that my 5pm ice shows I just stayed in that section as those great kids always sat there. To pay them back I video taped those summer shows and posted them on Youtube as FearFestKaren. To put a name to the people you are making comments about. Natalie Gibson is the lady in skimpy clothes. She is not only one of the sweetiest people you could ever speak to but I am sure everyone can agree her talent is awesome. The "shirtless guy" is Josh Hobbs - another awesome and friendly person with a great deal of talent. The other two male singers are Tim Williams and Matt Kopec, both just as wonderful as Natalie and Josh. All of these great kids were preformers in all of the outdoor summer shows. Yes I was extremely fortunate getting to know most of them. Yes on KIC day we did get to meet the Ice Show folks - all of them are extremely talented and most of them do ice shows for a living. One just barely missed the olympics. I felt their shows were breathtakingly wonderful. This summer was the best in entertainment I have seen in a very long time. But that is my opinion. They are not going to be everyone's cup of tea. Now back to the Dead Awakening show comments. I totally agree with Boddah. The warnings were everywhere yet people went - ignoring them - and turn around and complained that the warnings were correct?? Kings Island had been announcing for literally MONTHS that Halloween Haunt is for mature audiences. If you speak to the kids that work haunt you will quickly discover the young kids really ruin things for not only them but others. Some children are fine as they are ok with it but others - and omg there was this couple that got on the Tombstone TerrorTory train - had the NERVE to tell the hosts to make sure that no one is to scare them and a manager had to go in the haunt with them to tell actors to leave them alone!!! Then the manager actually had the nerve to expect our group to go with them!! I told that manager that I would definately NOT that I had a target on my back and those kids were going to scare me without a doubt. I am very very well known in pretty much all of haunt and those awesome kids actually look for me and it is very rare for me to go to any attraction of haunt without hearing them calling my name and the scares are everywhere so yea I am a major fan of Halloween Haunt!! When you get to know so many of the people that work haunt you quickly find out they are really awesome people and they simply LOVE doing what they do! If people do not want to see that show - with all of the warnings of the content - face it those warnings are very detailed in what you can expect - then do not go, It is as simple as that. But please do not go then leave half way through it and act as though you did not have any idea what to expect. That is hard on those kids preforming to see the audience leave like that plus it is very rude. DO your homework - read - then make an intelligent decision to go or not. If enough people do not go then you can believe Kings Island will remove it or never do that type of program again but please do not act as if you were not given sufficient warning. As for the comment that it is something that you should watch at home. Well as much as I adore you hun and you know I do as we are personal friends, I have seen a lot worse on regular television shows and more sexual in nature than what I have seen on Dead Awakening. Intrepretor - you are not making any futher visits to the park during haunt over the show dead awakening? What about the rest of the attractions of Haunt? Did nothing appeal to you? This is not an attack - I am genuinely curious as to your take on the rest of haunt? I am going to make a comment I have made in other threads. Simply put when they call Kings Island a Family Park - they mean there is something for every one. I want to see adults ride those kiddie rides or see you take your younger children on the rollercoasters. So Kings Island gives you Nick or Treat for the younger families and Halloween Haunt for the older families. Not every attraction will be something you will like or want to do again. It is really the same with the Shows. Some like the rides and do only that - some like the shows and do only that - just put things in their proper perspective. Go to Haunt - do what you have fun doing and if Dead Awakening is not for you - hey do something else. I go to Haunt every single operating day and I have yet to run out of things to do - in reality we have had a hard time doing all of the things we want to do. So please, plan your trip and only do what is fun. Avoid what you consider offensive. I do not find Dead Awakening offensive. I wonder why people did not find the show in Paramount offensive last year with all of those horror scenes - the same warning was given - it was full of gore and not something I would have taken my children to while they were young yet I saw a full crowd of kids there. I never heard anyone as outraged as they are with DA. I did hear parents read the warnings of the Paramount show and state - no this is too bad for our kids and simply went on to another attraction. Give this some thought - anyone out there watch daytime soaps?? Wow they are in and out of bed, sleeping with their siblings husbands/boyfriends and all kinds of stuff. I quit watching soaps because that is all they did - there was no real story there. At least with Dead Awakening there IS a story to follow. The music flows beautifully with the story line. Lots of emotion is in those words that they sing and in some cases I feel they sing them better than the original recording artists. Yes they have changed things from the opening weekend. Thankfully I recorded the original weekend. They have since put the original show back together except for words to one song. Josh no longer uses the B***H word but yet they allowed him to sing the F**K word. Ok those original lyrics are broadcast over the radio every day in various songs. I am not hearing the uproar over what is on free ariwaves and I do not hear warnings broadcast before the songs are sung. I guess I just think that things are being taken out of context. Warnings are ignored and what I feel is that people are complaining and I guess it seems to me like they did not bother to heed those warnings. I hope I am not offending anyone because it is not my intent - just voicing my own opinion here. Boddah you are a great guy and if you see me at Haunt - I have a pic of KIC day for you. It was one I took of you, Don, Josh, and Dane. Made copies for everyone. - sorry off topic lol. Agree to disagree
  17. wow that peaceful boat ride would be awesome!! Have no idea where they could add something like that but sure sounds like a great idea lol. As for the kiddie park area - I seriously doubt anything major to the theme will happen. Look at the cost involved in this?? Changing rides, colors, feel? Not likely happening - cheaper to renew the license or look around for more popular shows like Hanna Montana lol. Hey she sold out in 9 minutes!!! My younger granddaughters watch those shows religiously - Disney channel is a big thing these days. When those girls visit that is all they watch is disney channel. OOps forgot another park has that francise lol. Hmmm wondering if Cedar Fair might look into their own francise in the future - their own charactors?? Honestly I would love to see that.
  18. Not really. When CF bought Kings Island from Paramount they ran into issues that they had to deal with and have been since their purchase. It takes time to make a profit. Paramount let the park go to pot and CF is trying very hard to bring it back to what it once was and making it BETTER!! I have seen a lot of changes in this past year - all positive! An area I have a lot of expertise in is Halloween Haunt - look at Fear Fest and look at ONE year of changes by Cedar Fair. Fear Fest last year started out lame at best. Some of the attractions were great but some - come on worksite originally??? The scare actors were exposed and abused. CornStalkers started out awesome and just got larger and better!! Keep in mind that Cedar Fair bought out the park around July I believe so they started out with what Paramount had as fear fest then took a good look at it the first weekend. From that first weekend started the changes. I loved fear fest anyway but now WOW. Now this year we have the same amount of creepers (those that slide after you) but this year they added 20 scare actor "roamers" that are every bit as scary and fun as the creepers. They have moved those creepers / roamers through out the park instead of just in coney maul (which I am sorry to say is not as active with creepers as it once was but on positive side you can find them all over now) More scare actors in each attraction, new attractions and much better shows - well maybe not the great baldini but that is just me - I get a little skiddish at that kind of stuff. Dead Awakening is completely awesome!! Yes it is geared toward more mature audiences but so is all of Haunt. Their shows now use college kids that have theater as their majors so you have more professional shows than ever before - anyone remember the lame keroke shows??? OMG some cute but some where is the hook when you want it?? Take a look around - I can go on forever on the new improvements in just Halloween Haunt alone. Special note on the improvement on the shows - Did anyone notice this year the shows were much better done?? More talent?? Those same college Theater majors that are doing the Dead Awakening shows also did the summer shows. These awesome and talented preformers are nearing the end of their college days and some are already heading out into their careers after this season so you are really getting some great talent out there. And the ICE shows? Did you know we had a skater that just barely missed the olympics?? The rest are mostly professional skaters that do this for a living and make a very good living at it?? One woman is a regular professional preformer with Disney on Ice that is at Us Bank arena this week!! Yes Cedar Fair did their homework and brought us great entertainment!! I do have a suggestion for Kings Island Merchandising - try stocking more PENS and PINS with the Cedar Fair Kings Island logo on them. Yes I collect both and they are great advertisement when they are seen throughout the areas. Heck I am a walking talking advertisement for the park. Wheelchair bound yet still able to have just as much fun as my walking counterparts?? Look around and you tell me if you have not seen improvements.....Cedar Fair you have a true fan in me!!
  19. Congrats Maureen!!!! We were there that day - like anyone would not suspect that lol. I was in the shop getting my bag filled for $20 when my daughter told me that she saw this beautiful woman walking out from the tower and getting pictures - Had no idea it was Maureen!!! Daughter could not figure out why get married at the tower but omg why not???? Beautiful view in an awesome park? I have heard of worse places to marry lol. I was fortunate enough to meet Maureen once - she is extremely nice!!! Good luck hun!!! Come back to the park again!!

Ok I am a Kings Island junkie and when I went to the shops the price to fill that bag is $20.00 but still a great value!!! This past week we got those frosty Fear Fest Mugs - omg I got 8 or 9 of them and gave them to my kids as well as kept a few for me. You put those things in the freezer upside down - take them out when frosted - put in TWO ice cubes and any drink - it is SLUSH in a matter of minutes!!! Needless to say I have quite a few of those mugs!! As for other merchandise I have gotten Beast snow globes which are normally $15.00 - ended up with at least 5 of them that again passed out to family and friends, many toys for the grandchildren, hats, there is sooo much in there that we have yet to find anything without some use. Even those blinkie shot glasses from Italian Stunt Job lol. Yea I am still giving them out!!! Basically it is WELL worth a look and purchase!! If you love Kings Island let's pitch in there and help them liquidate their Paramount Stock before the end of Halloween Haunt - after this month you will no longer have that chance!! Now for the Sunday at the park I am happy to hear it is not busy because I plan on bringing a granddaughter to their Nick or Treat this Sunday. I have no idea how I am going to swing this as going to Haunt Friday and Saturday nights then not leaving until that last employee is gone - we have to wait for my son-in-law get back from his haunt location before we can leave. I am not leaving my daughter out there alone so I hang out with her at Paramount Theater so if you want to meet me - come on down! If there is a crowd please stop by anyway and say hello - let me know who you are - I am not hard to spot - big woman in a wheelchair - hmmm not a hard find. If you see me in the park please stop and say hello! Back to the merchandise - no matter what you get someone will want something. I took my daughter-in-law in there and my youngest daughter - let them pick out what they wanted and paid for it. Filled that bag up nicely and all were very happy with what they got!! Those T-Shirts are well made as well and an awesome value for your money - especially you college kids!! By the way awesome trip report - hope your friend is feeling better!! Glad to know that we can get on those hot rides easier on Sundays as well as Fridays!! Yes Friday nights are almost dead. This past week it was pretty busy but after this week it does slow down a lot.
  21. Awwww Beast be patient lol go find another topic and not so bored on this one lol. Hey I have yet to see you come up to me at the park and introduce yourself!! Some of the other "survivors" of last year have...it is not like I am hard to spot lol. back to the topic - a drink is a drink - I like something in all brands and there is always water - on a hot day all I do is keep getting my cup filled up with ice and water - hits the spot better. Right now that water is free but more than willing to pay for it!! Now what I would love to see back at the park - especially during Haunt - is those awesome cups of Hot Toffee Coffee - not that crap in Starbucks - which I HATE and have to be desperate to drink that stuff. It is sooo strong it can walk out of the cup - ekkkk. We have also had a hard time finding their hot chocolate - omg on a coollldddd night those hit the spot nicely!!
  22. Ohhhh yeaaaa do love a good Dr. Pepper but love my Barq's Root Beer - you know me I am a rootbeer fiend!! Sorry hate Mt Dew!! Butttt my kids love it so I am out numbered he he.
  23. Well I have to agree that Dead Awakening is an awesome show!! As for the great baldini - the only one he is great to is himself. His tricks are not safe for his "helpers" as two of them were hurt the day I went to see that show. I would have gotten up and left but I am funny about being rude so we stayed there and endured it. I have not been back since and do not plan on it. kevin is doing a great job with the other shows. This year Kings Island has had better shows than in any other year in a very long time. This years singers/actors have been awesome! College kids with Music majors!! Great thinking Kevin - keep uo that great work!!
  24. My mentioning the kids that can not ride the rollercoasters was just meant to prove a point - no they should not ride those rides until they are tall enough for those safety reasons. Just sick of these people that keep saying it is not "family oriented" Well Halloween Haunt is not for everyone no matter the age. There are people out there than are afriad of their own shadow, ok Halloween Haunt is not going to be for them. That is not an age generated fear. My intention was to state basically there are things in the kiddie section we can not ride and there are things in the other parts of the park the kids can not ride so therefore not all attractions should be EVERYONE oritented. Keep the kids in the kid zone for their age appropriate things to do but for the rest and those younger ones that can take the intense scares - hey have a blast! In other words - Halloween Haunt is for people that want to be scared - no matter the age. If your child does not like gore or being afraid - well there are other age levels that can not take the scares of Halloween Haunt either. You know your children and you know what they can take. Do the research, follow your heart BUT do not force your decisions for your children on anyone else.

So far the Friday nights have been really nice. I tend to think it was the very hot weather than kind of kept them back. Well shall I say the extremes in temperatures as one week it was in the 90's and the other weekend we nearly froze out there!! Saturday nights have all been packed but the 14th it was horrible - two hour waits or more. We only managed to go to three houses Saturday night - Club Blood because I promised some strange Vampire DJ that I would visit him! Although I seem to notice that several knew me as they went to change into their street clothes - some stared at me as if they had not had enough blood for the evening and figured I would give them more of a taste lol. Death Row - FINALLY as I promised the manager for weeks I would go. The lines have always been so long on this ride - even on Friday nights so we would just give up and go on. Well we gave in and made sure to visit this haunt. So many in there knew my name and I know a few were following me - yea I had a great time in that one!! Tombstone TerrorTory - now that I know Haunt Guy was out on that trail there was no way that this would be missed!! This one is always a must do for us as my daughter's husband works that trail along with Hauntguy and another very dear friend so yea we keep doing that one and it never stops scaring us!! This week there was one cowboy that told me I was his favorite!! Yeaaaaa have to keep doing that one he he. Lots of scares!!! Friday's are just a slower day and we have a lot more fun that night!!
