I think it all depends on what part of your pocket you have your stuff in! I ride it 20 times in a row on Easter Sunday with a digital camera in my pocket and I had no problems at all! Nice TR by the way. I have not been to the park in a couple weeks now. I am going back sunday. Then onto Cedar Point 5 days later! Busy Busy!!

This very same show was JUST at Taft Theater about 2 months ago. Why couldnt they bring there Led Zeppelin laser show instead of doing the PF one in Cincinnati again? If it was Zep, I would be there!

They must have put a newer control panel in since I visited. Even the Tower op who posts here said it was the older control panels! Will have to check them out my next visit!

I noticed that as well. Kept playing the same 4 songs over and over again. Prince, John Mayer and a couple of others. Were they still playing JET on Sunday? I didnt hear it, but I DID hear it the Sunday before! Maybe it is on some sort of weekly rotation? I must admit, those cats get me everytime! Ever Onward, Bill

Hey Dane! I was wondering when these pics were going to show up! Nice camera!! It was nice meeting you at the Eagles yesterday! I noticed the shirt but I didnt wanna bother you so I started talking a little loud to my friend about that other (crummy) PKI site and I seen you kinda sniker a little bit so I asked what your user name was! Was shocked to find out you were "The Man"!! Funny thing is, it looks like even before we met, you took a picture of me on the SRAR! It is blurry, but I am one of the people in the orange car in your pic! Small world huh!? I am drooling over your 6x! Your pics really show it! Until next time! Ever onward, Bill

12 rides in 3 and 1/2 hours is pretty good I think! Park wasnt that bad at all crowd wise. Longest wait, FoF. Walked inside and headed left. Hit SOB first thing, then TG, F/O, Recar, FoF, Vortex, SBSP, Beast (3 times all night rides) Delirium and SOB to end the night with the fireworks blasting in the background. I do believe the part of The Racer got a paint job over this past week. And the painted claws leading to The Beast that start near the Larosas are back. Who can actually remember standing in line at that point to ride The Beast? I can! The Beast broke down while waiting for the first ride. The train had loaded but they had them all get out. I seen this one dude go into the control room and look up at the monitor and his jaw dropped. Everybody in line was like "whats THAT supposed to mean?" I am shocked that one person had the nerve to say "If you dont tell me what happened, then I am not going to ride!" I would have said "you can exit the same way you came in!" She was getting kinda loud! She just needed to chill! Anwyay, from what I can hear, seems it got stuck on the second lift hill. Something else I found odd was that a ride op was reading a book after she got done checking restraints on FoF. She would check and then walk over near the control desk and then raise her thumb and start reading some more with her thumb still in the air. When the train took off, she would lower thumb never once taking her eyes off the book. Just seemed a little strange to me.

Right to the point, I was pretty shocked that the park wasn't as busy as I thought it would be! Last years BAFFD on Mothers day was a mad house compered to todays! I mean, today was crazy, but it wasn't crazy go nuts! The 6th visit for me this year and the FIRST visit of the year that I took someone along! My 6 year old, Ashley. A change from past BAFFD is that you no longer go to the "will call" section windows to get your free ticket, it is now punched into the computer when you get your card scanned when entering the park. Your friend must be RIGHT behind you! Piece of cake! We got there at 8:45 this morning. Checked in and went right into the HBL early ride time for Gold Pass members. I wasn't to sure if they were going to let us in since my 6 year old didn't have a pass, but the lady took one look at my pass and let us right in! 3 rides on Reptar in a row, Ghoster Coaster, Beastie, Sky Tours and then we head for The Beast. DARN! just a HAIR short to ride for the 6 year old! NEXT year for sure! I took a solo ride after sending her to the cage. My 16th Beast ride of the season. Did the Eagles. Snapping like crazy. Ashley wanted me to stop since she thought I was going to break it! SRR, Zep and then we met a bunch of friends at the front of the park at 12:30. Then into the longest wait of the day. Drop Zone's line was about 1 hour+. 15min wait on Congo! First time I EVER had to wait for that ride. Face/off got stuck somewhere around this time. Racer, Skyline, Scrambler. Then the old fashion cars just in case! Then we split and we take the kids back to HBL. Taxi Jam, Helicopters, Bumper cars twice, Beasties twice, Reptar twice and then thornberrys. A view from the tower and we were out the door. Today also happened to be my birthday and I could not have picked a better place to go! Got there at 8:45 and left at 9. Made for a long, but fun day at the park. Ashley had a blast! Sorry this is kinda short. Tired, want to goto bed. Had to share this with you all first. Pictures, as always, can be found at my website listed below. This batch will be kinda boring to you all since there is a lot of friend shots in them. But your still welcomed to view them! http://www.waitingtoprint.com Thanks for reading!! Bill

I must agree! That other site is just way to darn childish! I am here to stay! I am just mad that I wrote 2 trip reports over there when this site clearly deserved them more! Oh well. Ever Onward, Bill

The very first time they had a BAFF day, it was mothers day a couple years ago. The park was dead and I was shocked! I guess alot of people just didnt know about the promotion. Silly me, fast forward the next year, same day (mothers day) same BAFF promotion. I thought the park was going to be dead again (mothers day). WRONG! The park PACKED!!!!!! The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend. I think it safe to say that the place will be nuts!! I will still be there on Sunday, with my free guest (my 6 year old). Ever Onward, Bill

Man, I am right there with you my friend! I really miss that coaster! I just wish I knew it's day was coming or I had rode that sucker ALOT that last season! Was sad to see it all in pieces from the top of the tower this past Sunday! But I picked The Beast from that list at the top!

Shaggy, That has to be one of the BEST written answers to a forum question I have ever got the pleasure to read in all my years on the internet (since 95). Reading your post brought back a whole lot of Winterfests past for me. My hats off to ya (if I wore a hat)! Thank you!! WWW

Top Junk and SOB get my vote. Top Junk = I remember riding it when it opened on Media day. Not only is it a HUGE waste of steel, but to have to walk darn near a mile to get to it is just a joke! SOB, again, riding it when it first opened after waiting about 5 hours in line for it to get fixed. I remember getting there in the morning, waiting, waiting, waiting and then riding and then going straight home with this HUGE headache! I did ride it again this past Easter Sunday. It felt alot better than it did in years past, but for as much work as this did to get that thing up and running, the ride itself just sucks! IMO WWW
