Beastbuzz 2004 was the best day I ever spent in that park! Hanging with the PKIC crew the whole day, running across parking lots, counting light bulbs, baskets and seeing people in the wrong grave site. Might sound kinda boring to all of you, but I would not change that day for nothing! Well, except maybe our team winning a medal!

Are you kidding me? I had my button on! I had my T-Shirt on! I thought for sure that would save them! Glad you cleared that up for everyone! Thanks! I am sure everyone on this board knows that the flyers are long gone! The wearing of t-shirts/buttons was done for fun only.

Yes, I had a BLAST with you guys today! Highlights: Messing with the ride op on the way up the tower. The video is classic! Doing the YMCA on AE Taste Great/Less Filling on Delirium "Dane, your ***** are on fire!!" "I love The Beast" chant on Racer. Never laughed so hard on a roller coaster in all my life! Slingshot with Dane complete with (cough cough) video Bon fire waiting in line for final ride on Beast "Dont let him in the circle" A new drinking game invented "Final" ride of The Beast. PERFECT weather for a perfect weekend! Looking forward to April 8th, 2005!

Oh I have no idea, but I wouldn't be surprised. She was out front hyping the $5 a person deal and I thought I heard her wrong. I walked up to the window and asked again, yep, only $5! 20mins later, I was flying. Now if only they would do that with slingshot! Some other things I noticed: Racer was running 2 trains forward, one train back Vortex was running 2 trains Beast was running trains 2 and 3. Train 1 was nowhere to be seen! Fearfest theming is ALL gone! That was FAST!!

Was at the park all day today. Sky Coaster was a smooth $5 and I couldn't pass that up! Anyway, the plot of land that once was the eagle and the tiques is now one. They have combined each section together. The drive box and the huge pile of concrete are still there as is the former wood frame of the eagles. The former eagles site is now a complete sheet of dirt with what looks like a brand new sewer put in on the spot. The park was pretty busy today. By days end, the first que section of The Beast was totally full. I hit #50 on The Beast today for the season. No biggie to some of you, but a personal best for myself. Turned out to be a pretty nice day at the park!

Well, alot...so it seems. Thanks! No seriously, when I take pics for the site, I try to keep in mind that I am taking them for alot of people that are not going to be able to make it to the park and see what the current construction site looks like. This was the first time I had been to the park since they took away our beloved eagles, so I knew pictures of that site would be the most sought after right now. By having multiple angle shots of the same area, it allows the visiter to get a really good idea as to what is going on in a certain area of the park.

I live in Colerain and Trick or Treating is on Sunday.

I have only started to get to know you guys and now it's time to say good bye. I think my best memory of you guys will be the day we all stood in line for the cyrpt next to The Racer. Taking pictures and cutting jokes. Great times. You both are great and it will be very hard for PKI to ever replace you guys! You both will be missed. The best of luck to the both of you, whatever life may hand out! Bill PS: I still have something for you guys! I am sure one day our paths will cross again.

Dane and I spent the ENTIRE day riding the flyers. We left the park for about an hour to grab some Chipotle, but then it was back to the flyers to end the day. I am sure a good size update will be heading to the site soon.

(snaps fingers) DARN IT!! Heck, now I am really mad! I thought for SURE that by me buying at $14 T-SHIRT that someone at PKI was going to read it and decide to keep it! Silly me! Yes, this is a joke! If I make even ONE person laugh tomorrow wearing mine, then it worked! The place where I work got a good laugh out of it on Friday. Money well spent in my book! Nice try tho.

From yesterdays Cincinnati Enquirer..... "The park is not planning to remove any other rides for the new ride, spokeswoman Maureen Kaiser said Monday." So I highly doubt it. Although I would be perfectly happy if they took THAT and put the Eagles in that spot. But oh well. Ever Onward....

Yeah, but then Zoso gets crazy sick right after dinner and I have to go home! I was so mad at myself! Like WHY of all days did this have to happen. Oh well, I still had a total blast with you guys the whole day. The launched train while we were standing in the FoF bowl HAD to be the highlight for me! Just something you NEVER get to see!! Yes, I know for a fact that we will have video from inside the FoF bowl of the launched train they did for us! We were all shocked when they asked us if we wanted to see a train launch. And they gave us 2!! Seeing the old cobra cars up close was kinda sad. So full of dust and memories. I still cant believe Jeff wouldnt sell it to me for $50! I thought that was a great price! I wonder if we will be able to hear anybody scream by the end of the day? (insert evil sounding laugh here) Bill

just got done watching it. You know your a huge fan when you start naming the ride there showing on TV and what ride is in it's place now, and nobody else in the room cares. My daughter thought it was cool seeing the Flying Dutchman when it was at Kings Island since she just rode it yesterday! Plus, did you catch the many safety violations that happened? Alice on the moving platform of the Keggers? Jan and Marcia in the grassy area of the Antique Cars? And it seemed that the guests of the park that day had a huge job! Stay out of the Bradys way and don't look at them! I guess I would have been a bit mad as well! Plus it said the company that produced the Bradys and the partridge family owned the park at the time. Isn't that wrong since Paramount has only recenlty owned the park? Did anyone else get that?

It's a little more than that: 8 a.m. Registration begins 8:30 a.m. Flight of Fear behind-the-scenes tour 10 a.m. First ride on The Beast Noon GAME! Woo! Meet at International Showplace for instructions. 2:30 p.m. Lunch with special guest speaker 5 p.m. The Beast behind-the-scenes tour 7 p.m. Turn in your completed game forms 11 p.m. Prizes and awards given, The Beast 25th anniversary video, Paramount Theatre Midnight ERT on The Beast As well as special "behind the scenes" tours of several haunted attractions, as well as front-of-the-line passes. The Flight of Fear behind-the-scenes tour is worth it alone for me! I have always wanted to go inside the spaghetti bowl, and now I will finally get that chance!

The Beast Thing? Now that just hurts! I will be at "The Beast Thing" as well. Does one think that there will be more people for this than there was for Beastbuzz? And it makes me wonder....

It looks like from the clip (after watching it for the 1,000th time) that it has a lap restraint as well. Was this clip from when it first opened? or is it from after they redid the restraint system. And what differences were there after they redid the restraint system after black sunday. I keep telling myself there was a cage or something like that. Any ideas? What part of the video does this take place in? I never see a crowd in front of it. Am I missing something?

You cant forget the smell of the Larosas that is near The Vortex/Beast. For some reason, the smell always seems stronger than the Larosas near the front gate. I will NEVER forget the smell of the grease on The Beast when I took my first ride of the season on it in April! I never thought grease could smell so good! I am going to miss that smell come Nov 7th!

Info for this "fest for The Beast" as you put it can be found here. My guess is that it wont be anywhere NEAR as fun as Beastbuzz was! In all my years going to the park, Beastbuzz 2004 was the best time I EVER had at PKI. Bill
