Was at a rummage sale the other day and something caught my eye. I paid $1 for this. It is around 15 years old. Thought you all might like to take a look. By the way, I didnt resize so you could see the "wonderful" detail. Does anyone else have any items from the park from years past? I went on the 4th once and it was so packed, I could hardly move! Seriously!!

Even though the option wont be available this year, I went on Easter Sunday last year and there was nobody at the park! It was a very nice day out but the park was dead! The only time I waited the whole day was for the front seat of SOB, everything else was a total walk-on! I did Delirium 20 times that day, never having to wait once for it! I did not know Ryan at that time last year, but little did I know, they were at the park as well! Ryan got this GREAT shot of Vortex. If this doesnt tell you how slow the park was that day, nothing will!! If only the park was opened again this year for Easter, but Easter is in March this year! Always next year I guess.

From the Tuesday, March 8, 2005 Cincinnati enquirer: "A fire at a Utah storage warehouse last week destroyed or damaged parts of Paramount's Kings Island's newest attraction, The Italian Job: Stunt Track. But park officials say the setback won't delay the opening of the interactive coaster, a ride based on a chase scene from the 2003 movie. Kings Island will open April 9, but the ride wasn't supposed to be finished until later. It wasn't clear Monday how much damage was done to the Mini Cooper S coaster cars when the warehouse burned in Byrum, Utah. But "all the plans in place are still a go," park spokesman Jeffrey Siebert said Monday. The Italian Job coaster is being built by Maryland-based Premier Rides, which did not return phone calls." Also says the park "Opens for the season, Friday April 9th, 2005" only thing being is April 9th is a Saturday!

What gets me is the people who where there Cedar Point season passes around there necks at PKI! Why? Status symbol? Not so much! Gosh!

I always thought they shut down SD when a show at TW was going on.

Kind off hard to tell from the picture just how big those boats are. If I had to guess, I would go along with 'coastersrz' and just say these are from a small kiddy ride kinda like the one pictured here from Strickers Grove: Anybody else get teary eyed when they seen the pics of them installing the eagles?

Stayed there by myself for the first/last time over labor (or "Labor-Dabor" for some of you) weekend last year. I was pretty sure that it would be the last year it would be around so I decided to stay just so I can say that I did. I am not that much of a camper, but for what it was worth, it was pretty nice! Was pretty cool being in my tent and hearing SOB and TOP GUN do there thing!

From "The Cincinnati Enquirer" dated 1/11/05 Construction could start this summer on an indoor water park resort on Paramount's Kings Island's campgrounds. The green light came Monday night when Mason City Council rezoned the 47-acre property and approved concept plans for a 401-suite hotel, 74,000-square-foot indoor water park and a 60,000-square-foot conference center. Several nearby property owners expressed concern about the increased traffic. Local and county officials will finalize road improvements later.

I am with Boddah1994 on this one. I was the very first one in the park that day and maybe rode a total of 4 rides the whole time. But that day, it wasnt about riding rides. That day, I got to see parts of the park I never seen before, I met a lot of you PKICers for the first time, and I got the total honer of walking the entire parking lot....TWICE! And I wouldnt take any of it back! I am 31 years old now and have been going to the park since I was a kid, and that day was the very BEST day I ever spent in that park! EVER! If you can go, I would!!

You guys are all missing the best part! It happened when they "wer going through a tunnel or something." I dont know about you all, but I thought the tunnel on King Cobra RULED! I, by the way, LOVED that ride! Bill PS: For those that dont know, there was NO tunnel on King Cobra.

For me, even though it wont be open yet, I will give IJST a good once over and then say hello to The Beast. I remember last year....it was SNOWING while I was getting in line for TRTR!
