Famous Daves BBQ at the CP Marina, only a 30 second walk from the park. DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

HAHA, not even close!! They were expecting around 60k (which is close to the record) but only ended up with about 45k on Saturday. The parking lot wasn't even completely full on Saturday, the bay side (left side) parking lot still had 4 rows left empty in the back. The front parking lot only holds around 5,000 cars so if every car averaged 4 people, that's 25k and the hotels, campground, and marina added a few k's.

This doesn't surprise me. I have been in all the water parks here in sandusky, and Kalahari lifeguards & staff seem to be the most immature & unfriendly. When we were there the lifeguards were fooling around with each other and not even watching the guests in the water. I have NEVER seen that at any other water park. IMO, Kalahari hires all of the rejects that Cedar Point doesn't hire. CP will not hire a lifeguard if they have multiple body piercings or tattoos that can't be covered. On the other hand Kalahari is just the opposite, it's like a tattoo and piercing contest between all the lifeguards!

None of you are right about the roads. The Chaussee is NOT the Cedar Point Causeway. The Chaussee AKA Cedar Point Road, is the road that runs along the lake with all the houses on it, Cedar Fair DOES NOT OWN THIS! The Causeway is the road that runs across the Sandusky Bay, Cedar Fair DOES own this. Even residents of the Chausee & their guest MUST PAY the toll if they cross the Causeway, they also sell the residents car stickers for a yearly fee.

The FUN is Over

That wouldn't be because he owns LOTS & LOTS of units, wonder what his dividend check looks like? I never, ever thought of that. You just made me smile real big Lake54321! I would guess that it wouldn't be as much as the loss from the fall in stock price. Well I guess, but considering he really never PAID for most of it anyway. Most of it was given to him in his bonus package every year. -

Teenagers rollover van on way to CP
Lake54321 replied to Lake54321's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
No, I'm sure they'll be claiming soft tissue injuries with maybe some contusions or lacerations. If they get hooked up with an ambulance chaser, they'll be going to a chiropractor for about 2 months for about 18 visits. Their claims will probably settle for between 6K and 7.5K. That's a good amount of nickels. The sad thing is now with so many people out of work, MORE people will be trying to make money that way. -

I would hope he wouldn't think that way. He could do something nice like send Snoopy to visit them in the hospital, that would make anyone smile after a bad day. -
Great Wolf Lodge sued over 2007 illnesses

And unfortunately, most plaintiffs settle these losses for some type of monetary funds. You wonder why prices and insurance tend to be so high some times? Take a look at all the attorney commercials on Jerry Springer. It all breaks down to lowest ultimate cost. Normally it's far less money to just throw some money at someone and have them go away. I would rather not watch Jerry Springer! It's sad to see Americans who act like the ones on that show -
Sandusky's second largest waterpark now open!
Lake54321 replied to Lake54321's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I'm pretty sure all of the Indoor Water parks offer Day passes now, when Castaway Bay opened they didn't but they do now. It also depends on how full the hotel is, if the hotel is full they might not sell day passes for that day. It's best to call ahead and make sure they are selling them for that day. -

Visitors Ride To Studio Theme Parks
Lake54321 replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Just knowing that even more foreign people will be visiting WDW & Universal will make me think twice about going. Most of them are very RUDE and don't follow any rules or follow directions while cutting lines, pushing & then looking at you like your the one doing something wrong. That's the ONLY complaint I have about visiting these places! -
CP's Wildcat Crashes?

The Magnum crash last year was worse than this and it reopend within a week or so I believe. I am sure WildCat will re-open soon. -
At least it's not $4 a gallon ... yet :)

I have also heard this from a few people. I think Cedar Fair will do ok, but I don't think it will be as great as Mr. Kinzel thinks it will be! Places like Walt Disney World will be hit VERY hard by these high gas prices. People usually drive there because they couldn't afford to FLY the whole family to WDW, now they can't afford to drive them there either! -

here is some more information... http://www.sanduskyregister.com/articles/2...ront/769718.txt "A spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Agriculture, which inspects amusement park rides, said an 8-inch margin of error on the track is believed to be theculprit." Not sure what the problem was? What does this mean? The track moved 8"? -

Cedar Point trip goes to pot
Lake54321 replied to Lake54321's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
That's the Sandusky Register for you, they never get anything correct. The student who brought the brownies and ruiend everyones day better stay hidden for a few days!! If I were those kids I would have been P'd off if someone ruined my day at CP and I had to go back to school early from a field trip!
