  1. You have to read this one!! A few kids ruined the day for 200 of there classmates at CP yesterday. I bet this will make national news by this evening, it's already on Cleveland & Toledo news stations. http://www.sanduskyregister.com/articles/2...ront/761122.txt http://www.wtol.com/global/story.asp?s=8329595 http://www.myfoxcleveland.com/myfox/pages/....1.1&sflg=1
  2. heres a better site for thisspeedway development Looks like it's just going to be a Shopping Area??
  3. My wife drives 100 miles everyday to get to work and back home. She spends about $290 a month on gas now, soon it will be cheaper for her to quit her job and sit home.
  4. Who uses premium gas and why? I allways buy the "CHEAP" gas and have never had any issues with it, never needed any repairs caused by using it.
  5. Well... today in Sandusky gas went to $3.95/gallon, up 20 cents in one day. At this rate it will be $5/gallon by Memorial Day! http://www.sanduskyregister.com/articles/2...9e879492930.txt
  6. The Sandusky Register is VERY GOOD a not getting the facts and not quoting correctly, there are some local politicians who won't even speak to the Register anymore because of mis-quoting in the past.
  7. http://www.sanduskyregister.com/articles/2...ront/748470.txt This is an interesting article, they said "What we found is with the acquisition, season pass holders made up 10 percent of overall visits for the legacy parks (including Cedar Point), while for Paramount, it was about 40 percent". 40%?? That's ALOT!!
  8. I wonder if this will be on national TV? We are going to be out of town (other side of the country) and I really hope we will get to watch it on TV!

  10. I think these people are just dreaming, it's MORE than just fuel cost that are making people cut back. Everything is going up, my last bill from the Cabel TV & Phone Company both had rate increases, and food & EVERYTHING we buy is going up!! The fisrt thing people cut are vacations and trips and I don't care how close you live to an Amusement park, if you can't afford to go you can't afford to go! And guess what, I bet all the pricec at that amusement park have went up like Parking, Tickets, Food.......
  11. They are charging $10/person so they keep out people like you who don't want to buy anything, and just want to look around & take pictures. If they opened it up for FREE they would have so many people there, people in the way and blocking people who actually want to bid & buy stuff. http://nortonauctioneers.com/Auctions/GeaugaLake/Geauga.jpg
  12. There is a video in the link also. http://www.sanduskyregister.com/articles/2...32738988297.txt
  13. Keep an eye on this site for a position that you could apply for. http://www.cedarfair.com/ir/careers/permanent.cfm
  14. Here is another link http://www.sanduskyregister.com/articles/2...ront/649582.txt
  15. http://www.sanduskyregister.com/articles/2...ront/649677.txt Kalahari Indoor Waterpark gives $500,000 for Huron High School's football field. It will be called Kalahari Field. The city of Huron is just 10 minutes east of Sandusky, Kalahari is situated in Huron Township.
  16. It's the BEST Amusement Park in the WORLD!!! NO ONE has anything bad to say about it!!!
  17. You are right about everything there is to do around the Sandusky area. But since I live here and have done everything about 100 times, I would rather goto the Mason Area and Kings Island.
  18. Nope, here is a quote from the article in the Sandusky Register "There are other areas of Ohio that are competing with us, like the Kings Island area, but they don't have the lake. Cleveland has the lake, but they don't have the amusement park and the islands. This is the only place in Ohio where you have all of it -- where you have history and culture, you have the wineries, you have family attractions, you have outdoor natural areas," Bauer said.
  19. Sandusky is listed as one of the top 50 family travel destinations in the U.S. compiled by the Disney-owned and -operated Family.com http://www.sanduskyregister.com/articles/2...ront/639366.txt http://family.go.com/travel/vacations/ohio...hildren-282125/
  20. Well now that Cedar Fair owns it, I HIGHLY DOUBT the band organ will EVER work again. The carousel's at CP just play a CD of band organ music, they haven't worked in YEARS. I guess they think the ride runs fine without them. I still remember as a kid going to CP and watching the band organ play on the carousel's, back then they had 3 working band organs but one of the carousel's was sent to Dorney a few years ago.
  21. WHAT? It's not going to have a Famous Daves Barbque resturant in it? It would be worth going if it had that!
  22. My wife has a 2007 Toyota Corolla, she drives over 100 miles a day and spends about $200/month on gas.
  23. I wonder if this will have any effect on rides that require Gasoline to run? I don't think KI has any now, but CP has at least 4 that I can think of, the Turnpike Cars, Cadillac Cars, Antique Cars, & Paddlewheel Excursions. Do you think the Price of Gas would be enough to make them get rid of these rides? Plus I can see CP getting rid of 2 car rides since they are all pretty much the same thing.
  24. Has anyone heard if Cedar Fair ever plans on bringing a campground back to KI? We would stay there at least twice a year when they had one, I wish they would bring it back.
