The Reason the smurfs are making a comeback to tv and the big screen is because the 80's are huge right now almost all the toys from the 80's are back on store shelves and Smurfs where big back then plus if Paramount gets the smurf characters back I will be at PKI more often to spend my hard earn cash their. AND to get a Picture of me and Papa Smurf!

Yes the smurfs are making a comeback I wish I would have gone to the Smurf licensing meeting in New York last month but I had other stuff to do! A guy that goes by Scooby_Doo gave me a really great report from what he has told me The movie will be carried by New Line Cinema. Nick will launch the New Cartoon and it will be on Cartoon Network as well. He said the Merch line-up is HUGE! He said that the smurfs look Real he also said they are 2d in a 3d world he said Kinda looks like MTV's Spider-Man. The La-la-la theme song is gone a new theme is in the new cartoon. The Smurfs are Smurfing your way in Spring 2005! Great Stuff!

HA! you will be seeing Smurfs in 3D on your TV come 2005! I would love to see Days of Thunder back again, I remember when that ride first opened they had Nascars all over the place.ahhhh growing up with Kings Island was great.

I agree I think The Smurfs will Return Merch wise at PKI and maybe walkaround Characters...The Smurfs over in the countries metioned above are On Nick and they are HIGHLY popular among kids ages 2-17!!! and Adults 18-55. Over there thats the only Cartoon that has Spongebob and the Fairly OddParents Beat.

Smurfette was made by Gargamel..so he could have her Destroy Smurf Village and kidnap the smurfs and there isnt 1 smurf girl there was in the american cartoon but in the REAL cartoon & Comic there are 5 smurf girls and they live a magical Forest where storks bring the Smurfs babies ,smurfs never age...and The Smurfs are made out of Clay by a Kind Wizard named Homnibus so they dont reproduce you SICKOS! Hey Dragonlord Nice Picture it looks like the same exact Smurfs we had at KI before Paramount took over. Yeah Some Pics of the Ride would be cool. The Smurfs Comeback will be Huge like scooby said I didnt have the chance to see the Promo Pictures but I hear they are very cool looking I hear Azrael is Very cool looking,Gargamel I hear looks like a Real Human. I think The Smurfs will be PKI as Merch,Paramount is too busy adding Nick Characters..Even I dont really Like Nick...I miss the old Characters like Snagglepuss,Yogi Bear, BOO-BOO,Fred Flintstone,Barney Rubble,Papa Smurf etc.. Does PKI still have the Smurf Character costums?

Thats True Browntggrr PKI will have to shell out buckets of money to be Like Disney Iam hoping that if PKI does get the Addams Family Coaster I HOPE it will be something like The Haunted Mansion.

The McDonalds I worked at you had to be at least 15years old that was last year..I quit because they screwed me I HATE MCDONALDS! and its hard to Work and go to school...Bills kill ya! but with this topic I think the Minors are doing a great job they know what they are doing.

I like SOB of course I love Poppa Beast too.I think PKI did a great Job by putting in sob I dont think they lost any money I think it was a great investment.

I hear BB will be HUGE! but I very rarely goto the waterpark and plus with my daughter I cant really enjoy the park like I would like to.

*Off Topic* why did they shut down the Smurf ride in 1991? It was only there for 9 years isnt the life span in that building for rides 12 or 13 years? and Iam sure the Smurf Figures were a lot easier to take care of than the PT figures. Ok back on topic I agree with Fryler87 that part of the park is really ugly to the eye I hope PKI does do something with that old station...if something is put in will the that Tropical Drink stand disappear?

I think the Antique Cars are fun but Boring a nice Coaster would be great.

Iam sure they will have walk around characters again..I think if the movie is very popular and so is the TV show and it ends up on NICK...theres a great chance of seeing our blue buddies again.

No ,but I know how annoying Old bears can be..... What if the new Smurf Cartoon does end up on Nick? I dunno if Paramount did get the rights I Think we will see them one way or another.

I just got off the Phone with a Dear friend of mine he is a Smurf PVC collector and Smurf Nut and he called me up with some big news for Smurf Fans here in the USA many of you might remember hearing about the Smurfs Return next year well at first New Line Cinema was leading the bids as highest bidder Not anymore Paramount Pictures Scored the Rights to The Smurfs they will be bringing a New Smurf Movie to theaters Holiday 2005. and the new cartoon might just end up on Nick. So do any of you think The Smurfs will return to PKI and other Parmount parks?

Well I guess more and more people are getting hurt at amusement parks and I think its there own fault.

I ride this all the time with my Little girl it is fun but hurts me in places I dare not to speak of.

Hi everyone, Ok I just go off the phone with a dear friend of mine he is a Smurf PVC collector and a Smurf Nut. Any way he just got wind that Paramount Pictures Beat New Line Cinema over the rights to the SMURFS Paramount was the Highest bidder toward the Rights.This means Paramount got the rights for the Smurfs image and name plus they are bring us the Smurf Movie now in 2005.Plus I hear that the Smurf 3D cartoon might end up on Nick after all. I will let you all know as soon as I find out more.
