I doubt its for either of those (attraction or new movie).... If I had to guess, I'd say its a sponser sign, either a park sponser or a ride sponser... The tower just got painted..... so I'm thinking possibly the Sherwin Williams Paint or Kurfee's Paint signs to reappear at the base.

The funniest and strangest thing I've seen at PKI, happened all the time back when I worked on the Flume (Wild Thornberries River Adventure as non-employees call it). I would welcome people back from the ride, and they would exclaim that they didn't know that the elephant at the end squirted people! I remember thinking, "Well there's a long line today.....Do you ALWAYS put your body on a ride that you have NO IDEA what's going to happen? I mean, come on, it's not hidden like TRTR, it's RIGHT THERE." Those people gave me the giggles, and the wanderings. I have tons of stories that are humorous, about guests, and of course about employees....catch me sometime, and I'll share the likes of them.

The base part of the project was completed this week...so you can see the final color on it now....It's the same color. they only did like, the stairs, area around the elevator and a few other tidbits. ...and no, I dont know when the plats will be completed.

I'm not disagreeing, just stating that they own it. Believe me, I was soooo thrilled to hear it, I shouted WHAT, and my entire family got quite mad at me....

The only reason they did is because Viacom (who owns paramount) also owns CBS. It was a cheap plug in for one of their own parks.

p.s. As a Tower supervisor I DO have people tell me they missed things.......Its not as uncommon as you may think....

If I see you throw something off the tower, and I catch you if you're over 13, you're outta the park (escort by security) if youre over 18, you might even be prosecuted......since it is a state law...Ive caught so many people throwing things or spitting its not even funny, apparently people don't listen to what we say in the elevator. Ugh.

well, having worked there two years Im happy with it, it means that my clothes wont turn blue! Now , if I lean on the tower, the paint rubs off onto you.....I only know this because its happened to me many a times....I've also been told, that the difference wont be seen except on the elevator...besides if you've ridden two any time since last September, you can see the patches of the framework that have been color tested, treated and decided.

does anyone remember the laser light show they had in there, like many many many years ago? That was awesome.

Im sure they would have done it earlier..... but theres another flaw in that logic---- $$$$ They had to find and alot the money for it.....not always a quick and easy task. I'm happy with the partial job, I just hope they do it soon, and dont have to close my ride down, and I'll have to keep people away from touching the darn thing, cause that sucks.

I ADORE that ride! I know not real fond of the long "cattle herding" rooms...But I love the ride!

Yea I met Nick and Jessica last year when they rode. Melanie Griffith was here waaaay back when Milk Money was made I believe.

think about how weathered that thing is...... Ill talk to jill when i get in friday and get the total low down about how many times its been painted.

This Tower sup thinks the Tower looks like its got acne right now!! Strips and blotches everywhere! And the reason its so gosh darn late is because they had to get my new elevators in first....so that they didnt scratch the paint putting them in...hehe. Only the bottom third, and the two platforms will be painted....painted in the original color...Eiffel Tower Green.... --Di
