  1. Because I'm good buddies with Kevin, and Lee, and they told me! Plus I'm on the tower, I know nearly everything.
  2. Bill, they are behind FOF!
  3. school is back in session, which means there are more minor labor laws to follow now.
  4. This is what happens when the boyfriend walks with the parade, and I see it everyday, we memorize it and annoy one another with it-- even after the thing is LOOOOOONG gone.
  5. Trust me, were open this week, every day until 8 pm. Saturday and Sunday is 10 pm and 9 pm (sunday).
  6. Say hi to me! Ill be there starting at 2ish!
  7. "Kickin' it all over town, this party's getting out of bounds! Everyday's a second chance so get on your feet and dance!"
  8. Mrs. Chef is beautiful. I was quite amazed to meet everyone today. I'm sorry I didn't have much time to talk with you, Charles, I had to get lunch time breaks started so I wasn't behind for the whole afternoon. Visit again soon
  9. the only thing that has been done to the tiques land, is the removal of the speakers....
  10. probably problems with zoning permits What's the hurry? It's a sign, not a ride or anything, I mean, let them take as long as they want, as long as it is put up correctly.
  11. Ah the wonders of being in college.... And the flyers, according to the Rivertown area manager of rides will be open for the rest of the season, I asked.
  12. 1) Tech Services was removing the speakers from the Tiques land before construction 2) The Coney Mall Arch had to be removed to accomedate the floats for the parade, it'll probably be going back up really soon 3) A few Tiques cars (minus the canopy) are now being used for the Nick Meet and Greet, but I didn't think they were actually being driven in park, last I checked the only things allowed to be driven in park while guests present were floats and the ambulance.
  13. "Also, the tent structure that protected the Nick Parade floats has already been removed and all that remains is a large sea of blacktop." ---They loaded up the floats onto semi trucks about 1.5 hours after the last parade. I watched from atop the tower--- "One curious thing I have noticed is that the park has installed a camera on the operators booth. They have then mounted a television to the right of the small kids pen that displays the view from the camera. I found this to be quite odd. I assume it is some sort of new safety feature but why you would need a tv displaying what the camera is capturing is beyond me." --Not safety, theft deterant! It's so that everything that is left in the station is taped, so we can cut down on the theft that occurs at rides...don't be surprised if those type of cameras show up everywhere over time.---
  14. Families spend sooo much more than enthuastists per a trip usually, even if the enthuastist comes multiple times. Oh! And some families do come multiple times! Even if they don't like in the Cincy/ Mason area. I work there, and to be honest, I feel I see a LOT more families than those people hunting for a thrill. I'd rather be a family park anyhow. I know when I went Admission (x2 cause 2 people work there) Food (x4) Games (x4, kids love winning the plush) Sovenirs (x6) Ice cream / Candy (x6) p.s. No, I don't have kids, I just work with a lot of them, and have a ton of nieces and nephews.
  15. Why do you think PKI should just be all about you? I hate to tell you, they are out to make money, and the money lies in family rides to make a FAMILY happy.... Have kids one day, you'll understand.
  16. Usually everything from, and including, the train west, meaning Nick, HB, and such, are what is on the closed list. Besides, that's kiddieland. That's how it has worked the last two years worth of PRIDE nights.
  17. I would like to hope the ride ops get to ride during training like they did the last two years on TRTR and Delirium, as a R and R during rigorous training.
  18. If I was a passholder or employee who planned on attending the announcement, which I can't because I'm scheduled a double shift on the Tower, I would make the trip up only to hear the announcement, crowds may be heavy, we'll see. --Di
  19. It will be packed! Also, just a heads up if you don't want a crowd, you might not want to come on Friday either, its associate appreciation day, so every associate gets four tickets for family thats easily 24k people.......plus the general public = big crowds all day long
  20. Usually Thursdays aren't crowded at all.
  21. She's my dating advice guru How crazy is THAT? Gotta love her though.
  22. I'm sure it wasn't anything as monsterous as that, if it was it would have been closed longer.
  23. The Train. However, I'm never getting married at PKI, cause I already spend waaay too much time there.
  24. Holy cow! Thanks for the shout out. Like I've always said, everyone is welcome to visit me at the tower....I'll talk your ear off about the park (telling you mostly what I'm allowed to tell you), not to mention that I love my ride, and meeting hundreds of different people every year. It was great meeting you too, stop back often. --Di
  25. Those steps weren't closed until about 1990, I remember as a little kid being able to go up them. I miss that some.
