    Park Access

Yep, Hablo is right. That is what they did with us last year, when the elevators were not ready until like the 5th weekend. It's fun though!

    Park Access

It is not supposed to be ready for opening day.

    Park Access

The employee lot is usually open, whenever I've been up there. But you can't see anything from there. Basically, people aren't going to be seeing anything until training starts next month.
  5. I think I'll head on the Smurfs, or Scrappy's slide!
  6. I wonder if the fish are removed when the pond freezes, or if they survive the cold winter in the water?
  7. Yes, but two lanes ONLY at the hill.... Edit: TRTR is correct. I misread the answers. KCKC had the double chute, not Flume. Flume had one chute, isn't as tall as KCKC was, and most of the track was lower to the ground, instead of being up in the tree tops.
  8. One of those photos I believe is mislabeled. One is labeled as being part of KCKC, when in reality it is an ariel shot of Kings Mills Log Flume, now known as the Wild Thornberries River Adventure.
  9. It's wasn't him, it was the kid who looked like Eminem. And Diana, I was recalling the time where I took a shift at Tower and you were in the elevator and it suddendly started eating people. so can I. That was a scary weekend. And the cause of the whole problem....... 10 cents, a single dime.
  10. How do you staple someone on Tower/Carousel? Make the doors close too soon? I only staple punk teenagers that get on my nerves, or people that I dislike. Or people that do stupid things. Just because that is my home ride doesn't mean I don't know how to staple!!! Or haven't done it. I've worked every ride in the park but: Delirium Slingshot Skyflyer Racer (Couldn't because I had family there, however, I should try to get a shift there this year, since Louis has been moved).
  11. It is more economically reasonable ($$$), reasonable, feasible, and sensible (Thats a lot of -ible!) to have non themed uniforms. Not too mention, cheaper on a wide scale basis! And paramount is about cutting costs to get more of a profit, without cutting safety and quality, really. They also play well in the whole ranking business, so a guest can tell a supervisor, an associate and a manager. Personally, I have never worked at PKI with the themed uniforms, although I remember them well from my season pass days... Like other things, I like the idea in theory, but in practive it isn't as grand as one would think it would be. I think the unity and uniformity (haha) of the uniforms are excellent, and they look professional, even if I don't particularly care for the new ones with the stars. Now if we could get them to update the blue pullover, and give back the raincoats.
  12. I'd like to see things more handicapped accessible... shops, restaurants, and rides for the guests. For employees with handicaps especially Oscars, for those few employees that are in wheelchairs, they cannot use the ladies room, or even get a salad off the bar.... Just my 2 cents.
  13. Added benefits include free tickets, funcentive points, experience, and great friends. See the other topics for more info.
  14. I see it happening at all paramount parks, including pki
  15. Only people I know, and only that I know REALLY well, cause it's not all that fun.

    the pay

This is really sad. Someone born to do nothing better than work at PKI... surely you have other talents you can discover, use, and enjoy.

    the pay

Would be an Open / Swing shift. If you get hired you'll need your SS card, Birthcertificate, drivers license etc to be able to fill out paperwork and tax stuff, if under 18 you'll need your work permit stuff. As far the interview, answer honestly, be patient, and dress appropriately (thats what I did, and I got hired on the spot in 2002).

    the pay

I'm pretty sure once you get out after 1 double which for eco may possibly end at 1:30/ 2 am, and drive home, get a wee bit of sleep before turning around to be there at 9:30 am again. I'm thinking it's not logically feasible dude.

    the pay

No but you do get free tickets based on how many hours you work. And funcentive points, which can translate into other attraction tickets, or gift certificates, or apparell.
  20. The PTC carousel horses some were sideways, and the hidden gate was open, so I was peeking... of course. I noticed the WWC sign was gone too, but I think that goes every year. Lots to do before opening day....
  21. A mod does it, I believe. I had Ryan change mine to what it was on Unlimited. So I'm happy with it, unless I get moved this year.
  22. As Jeff put it last weekend, let's remember that WinterFest was only one third of the park's history! We didn't have it at first ten years, then did, then didn't. I don't forsee it coming back anytime real soon. Although I truly believe the park wants it to, it's just not costly and labor or fesible.
  23. read the handbook, and follow the rules found within, and do anything else your supervisor or manager tells you within reason.
  24. Hmmm. I always got sent to either WWC or the Log Flume or skyflyer. And Tower.
  25. Probably Xtended Play events like last year, or something similar that is special event.
