We do not know if this ride is fear related yet and I am sure that the park would want to increase revenue over the whole season not just one month!

If we were getting a B&M, track fabricating would have to be well under way! Do you really think 5000 feet of track can be fabricated in 6 months and put in place, so they can do all the other electrical and mechanical things to the coaster and be ready to open in April? That means it needs to be finished in march, so the park can test for 30 days. The longer it takes track to show up at the B&M plant outside the less likely it's a B&M!

I also believe it will be a record breaker...just not sure what kind of coaster will be grabbing those records!

I haven't seen any I really liked at Ki, but the luminosity and Skeleton Crew at CP were awesome. Agree luminosity is amazing!

I see a new coaster with a new front gate! Matt said in an interview they learned a lot from Gatekeeper and a new entrance! I don't think it will be a wing rider, but Cedar Fair loves to have there coasters interact with the midway! Rumor of a new entrance have been flying around for years..no pun intended!

But it seems like Blue Fire has no big characteristics like a leviathan-type coaster. As we've already heard: "One does not simply replace a towering 200+ foot tall wooden coaster that is still fresh in everyone's mind, with another something like BLSC in the same park." - DontWantTo Cedar Fair is really going to have to outdo the Gargantuan Glob of Wood that once stood where supposed "new ride" is going, just because of how big of a loss that ride was to the park. And besides, when was the last time KI added something really big? 4 years ago. Seems like we're really due up for something huge. Also Mack is a company that is not as well known by Cedar Fair as B&M is. Soo... yeah, it's probably not going to be a Mack. sorry. I am not saying its a Mack just putting options out there for one..another it doesn't have to be a towering coaster to be a great fun filled ride! As it stands right now know one knows what we are getting at the island, So until we see track it could be anything.

Blue Fire is nothing like BLSC, It is more like Maverick and from what I hear pretty intense. Mack can make the ride as intense as Rob Decker and the park wants! A ground hugging coaster using the terrain, Maverick but better would be a great option for that area for the park!

We could see a Mack coaster in the US, there was an interview I saw somewhere that Mack had a few coasters coming here!

McDonalds at one point owned Donatos but the family still ran it! I assume something like this is going to happen... Dick is still going to be at the helm. Dick would never let go that easy of Cedar Fair, besides he has his reputation on this line! In Kinzel I Trust!

I will be there and I for one can't wait, it has been since late June since I have been at the park! Pride Night is my favorite time to go, when I get to be a couple without hate. If you see me make sure you say Ride On! Here is to A GREAT CAUSE , A GREAT EVENING of FUN with LOVE and ACCEPTANCE!

Kinzel is retiring? Is this a fact? I'm genuinely curious, I hadn't heard about that... However, I do agree with the rest of your post- certainly an interesting notion... Dick Kinzel restamped. If you read that it will tell you when Dick's final year is.

OK well has anyone entertained this idea? There was a rumor awhile ago that we were to get a water ride to replace WhYte Water Landing and they held of putting it in until next year, so that money is already in the budget for Cap spending for next year! Then Great America was going to get a GCI for 2009, but with all of the 49ers crap they held off. Well now they are trying to possibly unload the park to the 49ers. Why put more money into a park that they might sell? The coaster is already paid for with this years Cap spending, so why couldn't they put two rides in Cedar Point in one year! Also isn't Kinzel to retire at the end of the 2010 Season and he said in an interview that he wanted to go out with a Bang! What could be a bigger bang than adding two rides to his flagship park. Which would give us 2 more coaster than Six Flags and still the coaster capital of the world! Just a thought! Twitter and Facebook hints "Gee, See Eye" "witnessed many people enjoying the intamin settting of the park at sunset..."

My partner and I will be there....We have been every year since they started it and it is my favorite day to visit the park. I look forward to it every year!

From what you have seen, what are the crowds like on Fathers Day? So how was your trip on sunday?

I was annoyed that The Voyage was not on the list.

It just surprised me that they didn't follow the chain-wide names. Give it time they will! I will go out on a limb and say when they install the S&S Swing on the old flight commanders spot!

Well that's a relief. Yes but what you all fail to know is that Father's Day is also Gay Day at Cedar Point! Oh boy...why is that? It has been that way for years, because Gay Pride is the month of June so that is the day they do it!
