I must be doin somethin wrong, I'm always between the restraint and seat when I ride any ride.

You have to use your brain every second of your life. That was a pretty stupid thing to say. People have to use their brains at an amusement park...What food to buy, what ride to ride. Arrow's are very enjoyable coasters. Vortex, Corkscrew (CP), Magnum (CP) and Gemini (CP) are all very enjoyable rides and I was very very surprised with Corkscrew and Gemini, very fun fun rides. Gemini has probably the best head chopper on any coaster anywhere. Now as for why B&M flourished and Arrow went down. There are bad and good B&M coasters. Raptor absolutely impressed me in every single aspect. Mantis dissapointed in every aspect and was rougher than any Arrow coaster I have ever ridden in my lifetime.

Bad comparison, last time I had recess I was too young to even have homework. You have to learn how to do everything in life, why not ride a rollercoaster the right way.

Cedar Point has many frequent visitors, and Sandusky is alot bigger than you may think. Also it is dead in the middle of two major cities, Cleveland along with Toledo. I met alot of people up there that live in Toledo that have season passes and visit quite often. Cedar Point does let you leave certain stuff in the station, just not bigger objects. Such as bags, basketballs, and the other big things people have. If you have those and you want to ride, it's either get a locker, or too bad. The greeters stopping them are nice as it makes the line shorter, and saves boarding time from people running to the places to put their objects in.

Well I'm sure everyone's experiences are different. When we were on TTD when it broke down we talked to the ride-ops with no problems. All the talking stopped of course when a man went off on a ride op and about 6 security/police officers showed up. That's when they said screw it, we're closing for the night, which of course I don't blame them. They did give everyone a pass to skip a line to any ride later at night, and a pass to skip TTD's line anytime of the year. To be quite honest from my experiences this has never once happened at Kings Island with me, even being stuck on Tomb Raider for 30 mins+ along with being stuck on Beast because the speakers went out.

Well I'm 16, but I've been mistaken for over 21 at several places, including restaurants when they ask me if I'd like something from a bar, or when you go to a huge birthday party and they give you the stamp for alcohol rather than the big black X stating you're underage. To tell you the truth, being friendly to someone should have absolutely nothing to do with the persons age. Age didn't stop the people at CP from saying hi, has anyone mentioned how extremely clean that park is also?

In all my years of visiting the park, not a single person has asked me any of those questions or anything. Not even a hello.

Not to mention for giving their spiels, a restraint checked his a microphone on talking when they arrive and depart and during. This frees up the guy in the booth to do what he needs to.

While I don't want it to, but it may turn into a CP vs. PKI thread one thing PKI needs that CP has is the great ride crews. Now I know the ops are going to take offense to this, but anyone who has been there has to agree. They have the fastest crews probably anywhere. One reason may be is there are four people checking restraints, 2 on each side. Another reason may be that their ride ops run from seat to seat checking the restraints. With single train coasters Face\Off takes about 5 minutes to get loaded and dispatched, Wicked Twister on the other hand took 2 minutes everytime I saw them. It was amazing, I was amazed. Their love for their jobs is unbelievable, their energy is unbeleivable. I have never seen a ride op (restraint checker) run to check the restraints, except The Beast crew. It's no wonder why CP gets voted as the park with the best capacity as it is, and it's all because of their ride ops enthusiasm for their job. When I was sitting on TTD when it broke down right before we left the station, the woman checking restraints was so mad, she was being serious and it almost looked like she was going to cry.

How about bracing your head against the headrest like you're supposed to.

Well they're not going to add lapbars. It would be hard with the design of the trains if it's even possible. I don't really understand why people complain as it's really smooth for me, but of course my head sticks up over the restraints. Of course I understand because the short people like SOB and don't like Vortex, while I like Vortex, but not SOB. Bring some Advil, Tylenol, Aleve, or even some generic brand from the Dollar Store and you'll be just fine. I forgot to add in that SOB hurts people alot more, and they haven't invested in improvements that seem to help it that much.

After my trip to Cedar Point tomorrow and Wednesday. I'm gonna be up there for two days, awaiting those pictures along with ones from Thorpe Park. Right now we have over 220 photos from PKI and Alton Towers, soon to be probably over 400 when Cedar Point and Thorpe Park are added. Wanted to wait for those so right after releasing the site I wouldn't have to upload them all then. I've also been working on my own personal site for my photography which should be up in a couple months.

Just tryin to help, and I've never shot fireworks before, but it's kind of obvious.

You were using a tripod, yet everything that moved was blurred? Faster shutter speed helps. With fireworks you should use longer shutter speeds actually which you would need a tripod to use. While "night mode" is great for taking photos at night without messing with the settings yourself, with fireworks it would be best to use a longer one, around 4-6 seconds long so you get the full effect of the fireworks. They will not only be brighter, but bigger and have a greater effect in the photo. Use a longer shutter speed of anywhere from 6-16 seconds to not only catch several fireworks at once, they will be very bright, rather than using a simple night mode shot. Example (not fireworks, but you could get the idea):

The sparks are there. At least they were when I rode.

How many other Giant Top Spins have you ridden to compare it to?

I don't know if you've ridden one, but the reviews of the one at Canada's Wonderland (it is there right?) hasn't gotten very good reviews. How about we get another Giant Top Spin and see if the "regular" folk can figure out that they're the same thing.

As for real food it'd have to be Mandarin Cuisine (General Tso's Chicken) or a Bacon Cheeseburger from Festhaus, the one I had last year was very good. As for a sweet treat it would have to be blueberry ice cream. I usually get two while visiting.

I'd definately be fine without a coaster. If they keep following the trend with Delirium, Tomb Raider, and even the new waterpark we'll get a really great ride.

I'll be heading up there sometime after July 4. Within a week of the holiday probably that Thursday.

I'm just about sick of these threads about what's being removed. The park has no need to remove anything from the park. Especially one of their rollercoasters that still attracts a crowd and is a great people mover.
