  1. Let me start out by saying absolutely amazing. I got there around 11:00 with my brother and his girlfriend. We checked in and went to Scooby for our only ride of the day. Great ride for kids. Love the way it's interactive except the targets are small and hard to hit. Overall all 3 of us tied and had 570 points each. I will say one thing, The queue and station of Scooby are horrible, it's so dark you can't even see where you are walking. The theming however was great and I even jumped a few times at some of the things that pop out. Great ride. After Scooby we looked at our on ride picture. After that we went to our lunch. If this is the kind of food PKI plans on serving this year, the new executive chef is great because the food was awesome. There was a kiddie table with chicken fingers, corn dogs, and curly fries while the adult entrees were either pork or chicken, vegetables, and salad. After eating we headed to our meeting at Delirium where we watched it test once. Then we got our briefing, got in our seats for which one we'd be in, and went off for whatever until the moment came. When the time came we ran out to "Space Oddysey 2001" and stopped turned and shook our butts in our great Delirium underwear, which everyone loved. Then we ran to our seats got strapped in and took our first ride. I don't know what else to say, but amazing. The ride looks huge on the internet, small in real life, but you feel like you're really upside down and up about 300 feet when you're swinging at full height. Truly an amazing experience. Other than having a news camera on me the whole time, then getting off the camera man followed my butt to the exit with it pointing at my underwear. Next we rode again which was better than the first time because we were on a different side and it was amazing once again. After that we called it a day and left even though we could have easily got 3 more rides in.
  2. By the way while rehearsing, are they gonna let us ride it once? Because if not it's not a full rehearsal and I wanna know how sick if at all it will make me!
  3. Any news on where to go? Just up to the front gate or what?
  4. Can't wait until tomorrow morning to get my first ride!
  5. Why 60 people though if Delirium can only hold 50? Is it for no shows?
  6. I'll be there with my brother...
  7. All I know is all the Clear Channel TV/Radio Stations around the area are giving away tickets to it. That's alot of people, and the area is pretty big too!
  8. I'm in Fort Thomas along with Tom, I've managed to get to PKI in about 15 minutes, but of course my brother was driving. He's an MP and when you're that you can do just about anything you'd like.
  9. What do you mean if we know we won't fit?
  10. I'm 6'4" and love the ride when I can get a smooth ride on it. Although I can't wait until this year comes around to get a ride!
  11. New pictures have been posted at PKI.com Go have a look at the seats that are now on the ride!
  12. That always happens to me after a day at PKI.
  13. I am so sick of people complaining about PKI not meeting your needs. Believe it or not (even though it has been said a million time) PKI is a family park. So were not going to get a world-class coaster every year like Cedar Point and Six Flags Magic Mountain. We have the best kids area in the world, can you even say CP and SFMM even have one? Not really. There are not many Paramount Parks out there like there are Six Flags Parks. Why you ask? Paramounts is smart! I think we got one great ride in 2001, and I am looking forward to Delirium. Huss produces great thrilling rides. I love Tomb Raider. I really don't want a huge coaster all that much, I like PKI how it is. Also one thing I have noticed on weekdays when I go there, the kid areas are the most crowded.
  14. My longest wait for Tomb Raider was on opening day, 2 1/2 hours. Well worth it I thought. Also how in the world can you say the lines are too long for a giant flat ride? The general public doesn't know it as a giant flat ride, they just know it as the newest ride in the park, along with if they've heard, one of the most thrilling and intense. If you don't want to wait long to ride a giant flat ride, guess what, next year doen't take a chance on Delirium. The rides are built big to attract people, and thats what they do.
  15. Just because you rode it 3 times in 3 days and it didn't change doesn't mean anything. Out of the 3 times I rode it this year (I know its not alot) the first one was normal because ya know you dont know what to expect, second time was different, and the third was the same as the first.
  16. Sounds cool, thanks for the info. I wish I could have been there, but I've had enough of the cold already with football still going on.
  17. Well yeah there is a door next to the face, it's where the ride is operated, it is very well hidden. However you can still see the people walking around inside. I don't know if you guys knew this, but the ride has 5 different things that can take place, like 5 different modes. So chances are some are shorter than the others.
  18. Now on Tomb Raider, you won't just get hit by mist, you are drenched. The drops at the beginning of the ride from the huge iceberd/icecicles are now bigger and come faster and there are more, to the jets from the lava put being bigger and higher up, they also now hit people in the face. Let's just hope that PKI has enough since to wait until next year to keep them up all the way since its very cold now. Also I remember at the beginning of the season the ops were saying you wouldn't get very wet because they weren't turned up all the way due to the cold weather. They weren't turned up all year, now when it is getting cold again they turn them up.
