  1. This is WHY I am glad I wore sandals that had the backs on them so they wouldn't fly off! My feet didn't touch the bottom and my friend was struggling to keep her feet down and was worried about loosing her flip-flops. I would've took mine off if I had worn my flip-flops that day and been like to the people, hey they'll come off if I don't cause MY FEET DON'T TOUCH!
  2. Getting back to the topic........ I'd say tear down SOB and get rid of it. I read its been open 3 seasons of the 9 its been open! That is crazy!
  3. I don't like riding it. I felt like I was going to fall out the last time I rode it.
  4. I can't say I will miss it if they tear it down. My friend had problems with her neck after riding it last year.
  5. I'm 28 (was in March) and thought after riding every other ride at CP that it was my nerves. The only ride other than that I got sick on was Southern Star at Carowinds. But it wasn't the first time on that sort of ride that I got sick on. I rode Delirium with ZERO problems last summer, the only thing it did was scare me a bit! hahaha Thanks for the responses.
  6. Hey Guys! I was in the wonderful state of Ohio last week and I didn't get to make it to Kings Island this trip, I am planning to come back for that in July. But we went to Cedar Point last week, and I have NEVER been a fan of Top Thrill Dragster and have been on it when its rolled back and my friend and I wathed it launch a couple of times and one of those times it rolled back. I really didn't want to get on it. The height thing is a HUGE factor in that. But I did get on it, had no problems on the ride, but as soon as I got off I literally got sick. I haven't gotten sick on any kind of roller coaster ever, the only thing that has done that to me is the upside down ship at Carowinds. I think it was my nerves and making myself a nervous wreck before getting on. I didn't have problems on anything else that day.
  7. We're planning our annual trip to either park....I am dying to go to Cedar Point, but I don't think my niece will "enjoy" it as much as Kings Island. The reason why I say that, because she's 4ft tall officially and thats that magical height for the big coasters. I can see her pointing and asking if she can go on this or that at Cedar Point and we were wanting to wait until she could do everything before taking her there. Kings Island last summer, she wanted to go on Vortex so badly...but I told my brother that Kings Island would be the better place to start off at with the bigger coasters. So my ? is...which would be better to do? What coasters won't she be able to do verses park? I never went to Cedar Point until I was much older and way over 4ft.
  8. I would plan another day to go if I were you. I broke my tailbone and it was luckily during the winter, but even sitting in the car was a chore. Your tailbone will never be the same after it heals also. Honestly I wouldn't waste the $$$ unless you can handle not going on the bigger thrills. I wouldn't go on the wooden coasters, for sure. But spending the day in Boomerang Bay is an idea, but event that is limited what you can do.
  9. Top Thrill- I hate to say it but for me it did mess up my back the last time I went on it. It jerked me so hard my whole back cracked from the bottom all the way to my neck. So I agree with that statement and don't see that at a darndest thing! LOL
  10. A friend of mine that lives going to Cedar Point every summer, swears that their ride like Delirium (no clue of the name, never been on it) is more intense than Kings Island? IS IT NOT THE SAME RIDE?! Don't they have one like Delirium or did I miss something? I hope I didn't give up on an arguement over this thinking I was mistaken, but last time I was at Cedar Point there was a ride similar to Delirium, but I was too scared to get on it and went on it with my brother at KI cause he wanted to go on it and now I kick myself for not doing CP's. But am I mistaken?
  11. Congrats everyone! I rode the other snake ride the opened (Carowinds), can't wait to go ride Diamondback this summer! Let us know how the ride is!
  12. My aunt and I were going to go on 3/28 for the grand opening, but the rain kept us from going. We went on the 29th, sadly not all of the rides weren't open yet. Carolina Cobra though was awesome. I swear I don't remember riding that at Geunga Lake, but it reminded me alot of Ivertigo...got the same tingling in my stomach. Anyone been yet?
  13. My 7 y/o niece is like that now and has been for years. She'll finally be tall enough to ride the big coasters this year, she was close last year, but barely missed. She wanted to go on everything, she did go on the kiddy rides, never enough. We took her around to all of the big rides (48" and under rides) and she went on whatever she could go on. So if your cousin has that attitude, than there will be no problems. But do start on the gentle rides and then move up.
  14. Wow 30 years! I wasn't even alive yet and it was 10 years into its life before I got to get on it. I rode it on the 10 yr. 20 yr and now will be 30 yr this year when I go woohoo!
  15. When I went on Flight of Fear they would not take my bag for me, I said there wasn't anything to value in there. So it probably would be better to leave your camera in a locker. There were lockers right there by the entrances of FoF and Firehawk.
  16. The one time I recall this was when I was at Carowinds in line for "Nighthawk" and a bunch of people got out of line and ran out the exit and then a few minutes later came back and remind you we'd been in line already for almost 90 minutes and we were close to getting on and I stopped them and said that you weren't allowed to line-jump and to go to the back of the line. My aunt smacked me for saying that and she told them to go ahead and I watched them and they got back in a random place, not even where they were. It ****ed me off!
  17. My friend and I got into talking about our trip to KI over the summer and she went over the weekend with her boyfriend and roommate....and she said the train stopped half way up on both hills! I was like that happened to us when we rode it, but it was on the 2nd chain hill. It was funny when my bro's g/f told me of her dream of that happening and it literally happened why I was on it. But is that a normal thing? LOL
  18. The ONE time I went....I think the only thing I rode twice was in the water park. But at Carowinds..again one time, I rode Afterburn and Vortex there 5 times in 20 minutes!
  19. Man I wish I lived in Ohio still....no wait for hardly anything! Dang! loved the pics thanks!
  20. Both of these happened this past summer.... I didn't want to go on Delirium, and my brother wanted to ride some rides and my friend that was with us and my niece volunteered herself to stay with my niece and I told my brother to pick either Delirium or Drop Zone....well he picked Delirium! NICE! The one I didn't want to go on, and so once the ride got started and we turned around one full rotation I looked at one of the ride op's and yelled "CAN U STOP THE RIDE AND LET ME OFF NOW!" And he shook his head no and when we went back around he was shaking his head and laughing! When we were in the water-park, my friend and I went on Awesome Aussie Twisters (I think it was that) and I wacked my head on the slide coming down into the pool. I got out and my friend and I were walking toward the lazy river looking for my brother and niece, and I was holding my head/neck walking and I thought my friend said this "Are you ok?" and I responded yeah I just wacked my head on the slide and my neck and head hurt and kind of lost my balance. I look over to see my friend in front of me and it was a lifeguard that asked me that ?. Lets just say, the ride to the frist aid station being held down was so much fun, NOT! Ugh!
  21. Well if I can find it....one of me on Flight of Fear this past summer, my friend and I on the coaster and heaven forbid I didn't know they took the picture as you went off...so my mouth is WIDE open and my friend is relaxed! HAH! My first TTD picture...hah! I will have to my brother scan that one, because that was TORTURE for me to be on that ride. Only got to see the last picture after 2 roll backs and I've got this ****ed off look on my face. LOL I have no clue if they took your pic on Nighthawk at Carowinds, I would've been crying in that one! LOL But if I can ever find it, my FOF from this summer is my best one.
  22. My friend and I were at Cedar Point in 99 and we were just standing under Corkscrew and we got in line for it and my friend looked at me and goes "This goes upside down?" And we were standing under the corkscrews!
  23. I personally like Viking Fury! I can actually ride it without getting sick on it unlike the ones at Carowinds and Kings Dominion. I hope they don't take it down. It was one of my niece's favorites!
  24. Not a hater, but some one scared of heights and that ride pushed my limits of how far I will go! LOL But since I have been on Nighthawk and Firehawk (both of them) I am looking forward to going on TTD next time I go to CP. NH and FH scared me more than TTD!
