I'm shocked that across the street from the former CFHF, businesses seem to thrive. I suppose it's based on smaller acreage. At the time I checked the CFHF property, it was not being subdivided...it was buy it all or nothing. I'm wondering if KI might opt to snatch up the KI INN property for an "on-site" motel property since the electrical infrastructure and right of way will still remain?

I like KillMart as well! On a vocal note, I would also suggest doing vocal exercises to prep your voice before going to work, in order to warm up....also...remember that a silent scare is much more effective than a wine glass shattering scream. If you must do something loud, slam a wall or table or hide effectively for a jump scare.

Disney Fastpass+ at Walt Disney World

The whole concept has NEVER been to enhance guest experience but to enhance sales...and they have every right to do that. I buy food occasionally when there, and I do not buy souvenirs on property as a rule mainly because of the perpetual increases in admissions/resort costs eats into my budget. There is nothing that Disney can do that will convince me to buy anything from them on their property while my money is tied up in resort and ticket costs. -
Found this website....very interesting sales items for certain! http://www.halloweenpropsdecor.com/?kw=Disney-Props&type=landing&emin=&src=Bing&term=Disney%20Props and another http://theme-park-connection.mybigcommerce.com/disney-props-signs/ and some interesting reading on a collectors boneyard. http://crazedfanboy.com/spotlight/salvage.html edit: But wait, there's more! (on page 4 you'll find a Snow White's Scary Adventure ride vehicle - for the low, low price of $8,500!!! What a steal!!!) http://for-sale.yowcow.com/disney-world-props

The log ride was almost removed??? Wow - didn't know that. Do you know what Paramount planned to replace the ride with?

I remember going to a haunt someplace (can't remember where) called (Silent Scream-I think) - I remember that the only noise was a beating heart repeating over and over. There were strobe lights facing away from the guests and everything was either black or dark colored. The scare actors would bolt towards you and the flashing of the strobes made it appear that they jumped from 15 or so feet away to in your face. Plus at some point you had to feel your way through nasty stuff. It felt like fur on the walls... disgusting and creepy.

The best scares are the silent, unexpected ones.

Darn it! It would be cool to have the Museum haunt again.

Hmmm....I wonder if this was an isolated scare or if this regularly happens? One year they used the ride as a haunt with live actors....it was actually quite fun.
-
I think they could have had more fun with the design of the stick....why not a necklace made of glowing cloves of garlic....lol

Better pick up a map when you get there....the mobile version of the Haunt still has last years map.

I'm pretty sure the parts are warehoused. In fact, Disney is known for reusing parts in other attractions. Two examples I can think of are: 1) A pirate is reused from the Pirates of the Caribbean in the Haunted mansion in the banquet hall in the dueling ghosts portraits. 2) The animals from America Sings were reused in the California version of Splash Mountain. I'm certain there are many more, but I love the idea of reusing the ride parts in a themed restaurant and you are right it would be a really big hit with the customers I'm sure!

If you remember, would you mind posting or IMing me....thanks....seriously thinking of getting a special effects/robotics/etc degree. somewhere. Could be a great side job.

I wonder how one would get a job in the designing of the haunts.....I have a Brazilian ideas...lol... (and that's a lot). It seems the haunts are decided waaaaaay in advance of seasonal hiring by "someone" and I've never seen an assortment of design jobs for the haunt online.

I remember kids having fun with candy cigarettes...the kind that were hollow and you could blow through it and a cloud of powdered sugar was created if you blew through the center....I usually blew out the sugar then promptly ate the cigarette....I know OMG a candy cigarette! The candy was banned many years ago, but the real smoking and smoking of other stuff still continues.

Rose Island To Reopen In Southern Indiana

Wow....i didnt know such a place existed. Some of what was shown in the video was definitely reminiscent of the old Coney Island. -
^^take their picture first.....lol

How quickly do you think this scenario will happen at guest relations..."my little Joey was wearing a No Boo necklace and the monster came up and intentionally scared him. I demand our admission fees back or some restitution. I mean little Joey is now scarred for life." and then it hits the evening news. And now the monsters on the street and in the attractions will have to screen every guest before they scare them. Why not have a special line for those wearing the necklace that breaks off from the main line, heads around the outside of the haunt to a waiting area at the exit......problem solved.
