  1. I think the problem comes more from when the ride is literally 20 guests short of a walk on and they are still pairing people up. Also as others have stated when they are putting kids and adults together. While the goal is always to fill the train, in the past it wasn't pushed at all where cycles count was. If it's a busy day I get it, but when lines are short anyway, it's just not worth the guest experience trade off. I rarely complain about what the park does because I understand their reasoning and often times associates don't feel empowered to make service vs capacity related decisions or just aren't in agreement with myself, but we really shouldn't be turning people away from the front row on Banshee when it's literally not even to the top stair from the station. Let alone having them ride with 3 girls who were all likely under 14. It also bugs me how when visiting KI vs. CP, CP seems to be better at customer service to an extent then KI and KI has now became the capacity over everything vibe. But I also frequent KI more and have a history with the park, so it's much easier for me to nitpick. There just isn't a ton of consistency, and I think they are writing off a lot of the complaints as enthusiasts not getting their way, but a lot of families are going out of there way to have someone sit out or just stay home at the park if it's an odd number household.
  2. Anyone around the park today?
  3. It seems like perhaps there is a stronger focus on rider count per hour, vs cycles per hour as there has been in the past? Or it's something the rides are strong arming to try to get more cycles per hour because they don't have to put down empty seat rows. But that really doesn't make much sense on all of the rides. Like Beast where the belts aren't buckled on empty seats.
  4. Gochujang is Korean, not Chinese. But 99% of American palettes probably can't tolerate traditional Chinese since it's extremely spicy and often numbing, at least from the Sichuan Provence. People think the numb inducing spices means something is wrong with the food. At least the one Chinese dish is dim sum. Hopefully it goes well, I'm a bit disappointed but I'm also a huge foodie so all of these dishes are hardly international sampling for me. But for the everyday person they might find it much more adventurous.
  5. The sound effects and lift hill music were DEFINITELY for the 25th anniversary, as well as some station signage and theater lights that would go off with growling every so often.
  6. I don't mind riding with other people, even if they are smelly lol, but what I don't like is when they pair me a grown man with someone's kid... It's just awkward.
  7. I really don't care for the separating at all. I get it if it's on busy days, but if the park is dead and the ride is a 10 minute wait who cares where anyone sits.
  8. I love everyone one of your posts. So full of years of built up frustration.
  9. I think sometimes that just comes down to associates not being trained correctly on the policy. We ran into this when using our drink plan on a gold pass at CP. Some people thought the drink plan would still work even though it wasn't a plat pass. Probably 20% of the time we got a drink handed to us, the others told us we had to go to the front gate to get our pass scanned. No one seemed to know for sure whether or not it was included.
  10. Yup, the building to the right of KCKC in that pic is still there, it's the old pumphouse.
  11. This has been bugging me a lot and I'm sure it doesn't mean anything other than just some assumptions by the drafter but the queue for FoF is using the old Firehawk queue in these prints. I haven't been to the park on a busy day for easily 11+ years but does FoF get a big enough line on those few days a year to need this? lol
  12. I think it just became the maintenance rd behind TRTR and onto the TRTR access pad.
  13. Dive coaster with a 301ft drop.
  14. You know... Of those two names are for KI they could rename FoF to fit with the new coaster... There isn't anytbing tieing those two names are for KI and everyone just immediately jumped on it. The two names are clearly related so that honestly made me think it wasn't for our new ride.
  15. Yup, I could see them putting out some stuff before then, but just to have some fun with the enthusiasts. Nothing that the GP will start really caring about for awhile.
  16. Did they announce they were coasters then though? Also like I said it depends on how the construction and stuff will impact it. Lots of variables. I'm willing to be there is some teasing starting at coasterstock.
  17. They likely won't start heavily teasing things until much later in the year depending on when vertical construction is beginning. They don't want people to say "Well we should wait and go next year for when they have the new coaster" and then not go this year.
  18. The Vekoma junior inverts also used tire LSMs as the lift method.
  19. Yeah from what I've seen the only thing we can really gather from the overhead print is the layout length. Not the track length. People are too caught up in numbers that even experts would probably be disagree g with each other on based on how they are getting them. Furys layout doesn't look that great either if this would be all you have to go by. Same with pretty much every coaster.
  20. If it is a giga it'd be nice to finally see the first giga with inversions. Just a fun thought for something that hasn't happened yet.
  21. Morning! Yeah lets all try to keep it on the positive side lol. I really hate for our park to be known as the one with all the "entitled fans'
  22. Yeah, the thread is just overwhelming to find stuff. That's why I was asking about where the numbers are coming from. What I've seen are very simple civil maps to know where to start leveling off land etc, Very very basic, with hardly any math figures. Hopefully one of the people doing something can chime in. There are then more detailed prints, but you're talking about like the fastener for the foundation of the lift base. Which will not have any numbers with significant enough attachment to the layout to get anything remotely close to a track length.
  23. To me it looks like everyone is going from the picture and just guessing the adj side total length and just leaving out that it's actually only that length when running parallel to the ground. For instance the lift hill would actually be the Hypotenuse which you would have no way of getting without knowing the opposite and adjacent lengths or a for sure angle (which I get people probably know from prior builds) and either of the other two sides. If you were to actually do the trig calcuatlions to adjust for height the "5500ft" number would actually be a good amount higher to adjust for the slopes. If I just had to throw off a totally random number probably at least a lot closer to 6500 which puts it right with the other gigas. I think my point is just that it's waaaaaay to early to be getting ourselves out of whack about this. Just enjoy the trip and love the teasers and information when we get it. Guessing information, and imagining could be's can be really fun to some people, but lets not let that ruin our ride before we have anything even remotely solid to go on.
  24. Yeah, even assuming that all this is real, I'm like... how are they coming up with a figure. I've seen the pictures and stuff on reddit and a lot of people I think are just expecting something to be bad based on someone who was able to piece together the most logical discussion that still confirmed something. There really isn't even anything to use as a good scale for the picture without knowing the dimensions of any of the buildings in the shot. Also hills add to track length immensely. So from the top down angle of a print, Something going up is going along the paper... AND up at you. So what would look to be 3 inches horizontal would actually be say 5 inches diagonally raised off the paper if it were 3D. Just for example, I haven't been to sleep at all tonight so I'm not breaking out trig functions for everyone lol.
  25. Alright... so I was late to the chase on this. How are people coming up with a track length based upon what's on the internet?
