I'm going to go. *sigh* This is my first time. I know I'll be scared.

OMG, our family knows these people who work at P&G and we are friends. Could I ask them to take me to KI on the private event day? I have to go!
-
What is a private event and how do you get into one?
-
We were in the car dropping some friends off, but on the way, we passed Kings Island. And guess what? Rides were operating! I saw Drop Zone, the Delirium, and The Face Off running. But the park was supposed to be closed today!? So we looked at the sign and it said that the park was open today from 2-6PM. Then it also said Toyota which is a car company..., so is KI open to the public today?
-
I was just wondering what happens to Kings Island during the off-season...

The Vortex should be painted with different colors. The dark blue and orange makes The Vortex look like the Denver Broncos. It should be painted black and neon green.

Halloween Will Be Scariest Ever, Park Officials Warn
Neon replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
Oh my gosh! I'm going to have nightmares just by reading all this stuff! I' nervous about going already. And a question about the monsters roaming the park. What do they do while they roam the park? -
There wouldn't be a new ride to KI because we just got the Firehawk this year. What about the other Cedar parks? We can't just care about KI, there are other parks that want new rides too.
-
I'm probably getting a Gold Pass. Oh my gosh! 25 votes for Platinum Pass! Unless you travel a lot or go to all the Cedar Fair parks at least once, that's weird for $125 for all 12 parks plus 8 waterparks.
-
Tell us what season pass you use to get into Kings Island. This is for Kings Island only. I have a gold pass. Lucky me lol.
-
I went to KI last week and the line for The Beast was just past the first set of turnstiles. Also, I walked right in to the Firehawk! It was over 100 degrees that day. KI is dead when it's over 100 degrees.

Labor Day will be the last day of the season before Halloween Haunt. Enjoy those rides before they get crowded. Outside of FoF, there are authentic army jeeps for everyone to look at. Be sure to look at them before Labor Day, it will be really crowded then.

That can't be true.^ I just thought of something! You can't renew a Gold Pass because: -Your apperance will change over time. On the very first day of the KI season, I was 12 years old. I'm 13 now. I will be 14 in ~10 months. And during that time period is when you grow up. I'll be sure to look dirrerent in a year. If they keep this renewing system for years, then my 12 year old picture will be on my gold pass when I will be 25 years old o_0! -The same thing above except with the signature. My signature on my gold pass is sloppy. And your signature always changes over time. That's why there shouldn't be a renewal system, or I will be forced to keep my sloppy signature on my gold pass. And it's worse because people's signatures change over time.

It was around 95 degrees, but I still decided to go to KI. The park was a ghost town. I only waited one ride for Face/Off (I wanted the back seat). When we went upside down, I felt so dizzy! I walked into Delirium, then walked into Recar. Then The Vortex (walked in again). When we went to the part with the two loops, again I was dizzy! Lol o_0, but not with the two corkscrews, but dizzy again on the last two loops. What's with all the dizzyness? I walked straight to the station in the Firehawk. But I had to wait two rides. Then I was bored so I went to the arcade in Rivertown and played Bowler. I won twice, so I got the medium snake that had a tiger face. I went on The Beast next; after the ride, one of the trains didn't start, but we we're only stuck for about 5 min. Then the Viking Fury, then SOB, then Recar again. (All walk-ins.) My brother wanted to see the ice show, but my mom called to pick us up because a storm was coming.

I have a gold pass. So does that mean I can renew my gold pass and get into the park for free on the 2008 season?
-
My first season at KI was 2007. Lol, I missed out on a lot of stuff. We never went to KI 2006 because we didn't know about it. When was your first season at KI?
-
My brother has one from the Firehawk, but I have none.

The longest line I ever waited was either Thunder Mountain or Splash Mountain at Disneyworld. All I remember is that both lines were over two hours long. What about you?

SFKK: Girl Injured in Accident
Neon replied to joecoaster's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
What happened to the girl? Is she fine? Did they fix her up? -
Have you seen a line at KI or another park that was longer than usual? Me? On The Racer, the line (both forwards and backwards) was all the way to those moving bar things (what are they called?) that are used to control lines. None or them were open, but it stinked. The line for TR:TR was all the way outside! And those moving bar things used to control lines were open! So it was a zig-zag line. I hate those zig-zag lines! The line for Top Gun was all the way to the vending machines! All of that happened on a Monday. I guess Monday seems to be an unlucky day to go to KI.

Does anyone know why the lights were on in FoF?
-
When they were testing Drop Zone, the seats didn't spin. I also noticed that the seats were moving up the tower faster than normal. Then the seats didn't drop. After about 5 min., the seats started to come down very super slowly. I don't know why all that weird stuff happened, but the ride was fine throughout the day. The Beast and Face/Off were closed and didn't open until later in the day. (Lol both or them are two for Tuesday!) Yes, we didn't ride the Firehawk, but we did ride The Vortex, which I didn't put in my post.

I see "08/04/07" everywhere! I see stuff like: "08/04/07 was fun," or "I went to 08/04/07!" I didn't go to KI on 08/04, because I didn't know an event was on that day. So what happened?
-
On the brochure, October 28th is listed as the last day of the 2007 KI season. But I heard that the season extends to December. Is that true? And I don't know why KI has to close during the winter. Who lets 15 degree weather stops them from keeping a theme park open? Not me!
