I'm pretty excited about getting up to Cedar Point this summer. I always have fun there no matter what. I have fun on the way up, while I'm there, and on my way back. All in all, if it involves CP its fun.

Your the kind of person who needs to get hired to design these great thrill rides. Such as your bulldozer + sob idea. That'll make most of us really happy!

Those jerks better take good care of that ride. Otherwise they'll be recieving many a blow from my fists.

i guess thats true..i ment to say used to be SF...but if thats what they use the money for then thats a pretty good idea..i've only been to one SF park and they seemed to be doing really good for themselves. i went to the great america and that park was amazing...that totally surprised me when i was there, it was clean..no down timed rides..employees were pretty nice..it was a nice trip.i hope to see more SF take the same path, I'd like to see some better parks from them.

the thing is..geagua lake isn't pki...i mean that park is great, but when it comes to the revenue and business that pki reels in, GL can't even compare...plus its six flags...the park up there gets hardly any business and wouldn't kill six flags to sell it, plus the money they got from selling it could be used to greatly improve one of their other parks....paramount wouldn't sell pki to improve another park because this is their best park they have and would more than likely sell any of the other parks before this one...pki would be the last park to be sold if any of them were to be sold at all..which is unlikely still... i'd love to see Cedar Fairs buy pki just because i think it would be interesting to see what they would do with it...but the chances of that happening are literally .05% if that

i do believe pki could be haunted because of a lot of stories i've heard...personally i havn't seen anything or heard anything to strengthn the argument....but i don't have a doubt in my mind that PKI might have some sort of paranormal activity going on. it might not be tower johnny or anything like that, but i believe there has to be something in the park... (ghost scooters?)

yea, legend is much cooler looking than SOB...anything with a creepy looking school house with a sweet bell is freaking awesome...my kudos to the legend crew for being nice enough to ring the bell on request

thats probably the most probable explanation...i don't mind seeing the park clean but i hate seeing so many people walking around having to clean up....if you go to places like HW or even CP sometimes you rarely ever see people walking around cleaning up...its just nice not having to see people doing that

they could be cleaning up the park to make it the best paramount park out there..that way this park would bring in most of the money, leaving Paramount able to sell one of their other parks and not have to worry about it... maybe?

ok docdude...as far as i know ttd is getting to be a lot more reliable...and if you bring your attention back to pki, take a look at Tomb Raider...that ride has got to be the most unreliable ride i've ever known to exist..yea, it has great theming...but you have the chance of going to pki and that ride being closed down all day...so while ttd is closed down and yea it happens to be a world record breaking ride, our park still has some rediculously unreliable rides...every park has em, and its not fair to say that jus tbecause it breaks a record means its going to be unreliable..and i never said pki was trying to be like cp..i wish they would try and build some nice coasters in the park but i realize that we've found another way to make lots of money and thats obviously by taking out great rides and putting in rides that don't even compare to the previous rides..but if thats what works, then go ahead..i just hope pki doesn't make any more stupid decisions like ones that have been made before

i couldn't imagine really...but i guess if it enables CP to build more in their park without taking anything out it might be their last resort to do something as drastic as that...i would almost see them start building more roller coasters at other parks..just so long as people associate the park with CP or Cedar Fair parks...i think that people are more likely to go to a park if they know its owned by a company that brings you parks like Cedar Point. which is why i see geagua becoming a lot more popular than it currently is..i went up there somewhere around mid summer in 04' and the park was absolutely dead... it was really pitiful(not that i'm complaining, no waiting was awesome) it was just sad seeing a park like that having no one in it because its a really nice parks..has some nice coasters and other smaller rides including a kick ass top spin..

i don't see pki bringing back the antique cars truthfully..if they do they will be maybe electric powered...it'll be more cost effective not having to fill them up with gas and probably less maintenence on electric motors..i'd like to see that though, not so much in HB just because its always just been a ride that hasn't really had a theme, its just been there...everyone loved to ride them from kids up to the elderly...i feel that a themed car ride like that might not be favorable by some people..just because they liked the ride for what it was..peaceful, relaxing, and just a nice little ride..having a bunch of cartoon characters everywhere or what is planned for the cars might not be liked by some people.. i'd love to see a nice flat ride put in for 06, i've always liked pki's flat rides...i could possibly see a coaster..but it would have to be a big one nothign small like IJ but that is very unlikely so i'm not expecting anything along those lines..i think maybe a small attraction for HB and a new flat possibly in Rivertown or Coney for 06

i'd hate to CP run out of space...and as good as they have been doing with allocating space to certain rides and such i doubt it'll happen for quite a while..and i agree with derbeast they could easily build a parking garage somewhere and fill in the parking lot..that would be amazing actually...another solution would also be to take out some of the less popular rides/entertainment near magnum such as the go-karts, putt-putt, etc. i don't know how crowded or how popular the water park gets so i'm not sure if they could get away with taking that out..but they have more room near magnum too...another extreme solution would just be to start building in geagua lake or other CF park...that doesn't help CP's space, cause its not CP..but still something they could try

all i'm saying is..when pki builds rides like italian job, people will come to ride because they don't know anything about it and they are just excited to see pki with something new...but when you build something like kingda ka or ttd you are going to get a hell of a lot more people because something like that has never been built before..its a record breaking ride and people just want to be a part of that to say they've ridden the tallest or fastest coaster in the world..and i agree pki is doing what is best for them..i can't say i'm happy with it, but thats just my opinion.and i'm not saying pki should go to intamin for a 500 ft tall coaster...but something more than IJ... I've always liked pki and applauded things they did because i've been going to the park for as long as i can remember and i work there and love every minute of it..but i want to know who in their right mind would take out flyers and antique cars for IJ...everyone knows pki has more than enough room to expand..might cost more money now to do so then just taking out a ride, but they have to do it eventually...

I really don't think CP needs to theme that much, they aren't known for it and should have no real reason to do so. I agree it would add a little bit to the overall view of the park having some cool theming. The thing is I doubt CP would want to put too much money into maintaining the theming and keeping looking good. I think they would rather spend their money on maintining their rides and keeping them running at all times(obviously still working on TTD). Cedar Fairs, as far as i know, doesn't have in affiliation with any type of movie companies or media companies therefore couldn't theme anything along those lines unless they paid a pretty hefty fee to do so. They could theme the ride area but again CP isn't known for that so they don't really need to do so. However with the theming in TTD i can see a future at CP for more themed rides(i'd love to see that, i love seeing theming as much as i do riding the rides) i'm really sorry if any of thats confusing...i've had 3 hours of sleep in the past two days and i'm a lil tired...my main point is...CP doesn't need to theme but i'd love to see them do it. and!! i think the vert coaster would be pretty darn cool though..

no, meanstreak is amazingly smooth..they basically beastified it..added some breaks here and there, its a lot slower and smoother...kind of boring really, cp ruined mean streak.. and i'll agree mantis isn't the most comfortable ride up there, i wouldn't call it the most painful...but it does make my legs feel all numn, sort of liek they aren't there...not the most enjoyable feeling

and once again..this shows that CP is better than pki...and why do they need to go the distance? we all already know that CP blows pki out of the water with ease...the only records we have are obviously beasts length...and sob's records...the only ride in the world guaranteed to break one of your bones each ride..one record i hope Cp never tries to get

the thing is, pki and every other park on the face of this planet can start building little kiddy rides and 40 mph themed coasters and thats all find and dandy..that leaves CP way up there in the coaster business..they can continue to build record breaking rides and people will flock to CP(and any other Cf park where that ride might be) and ride those big coasters/rides, whatever...because pki and every other park following pki will have a bunch of family rides and the thrill seekers might not necessarily want to ride those rides...its not that CP is "seeing the light" and has stopped building coasters its just they have two of the biggest rides ever and that will keep people coming for quite some time which leaves them more room and less pressure to keep up the coaster race and focus on some other little things(while in the meantime hopefully preparing/planning for the next big ride out there)

i think an awesome ride would be a dueling b&m flyer..although pki would never get something like that even if monkeys flew out of my a**...but it would be very easy to put theming too and much like dueling dragons at ioa would have several elements that involved the riders looking like they were going to hit each other...i would want this ride to be at least 4 minutes with intertwining corkscrews and zero g rolls, etc. what would make this ride even better if each station had lims in it and they were facing each other..so when you shot off you were headed straight for the other train but right at the last moment you had straight up into a large half loop and after that the possibilities are limitless

who cares...they need a flat and as popular as delerium has been in pki, Cedar Point is going to do good with it...i can't wait, delerium has always been one of my favorites and to be able to ride it at one of my favorite parks..awesome

i think its a great idea to theme the cars after the adams family...and it wouldn't have to be too good for little kids..if anybody has been to disney world and been in their dark ride...its one of the coolest and most amazing dark rides ever and its family friendly, its not scary or anything but it has elements to it that kids are going to love and the the older crowd will like too even if its not scary or "too good" however, i doubt pki would do that...because 1.)they already have a dark ride that somewhat goes along the same idea, spooky ghosts, monsters, etc. 2.)pki wants to save money instead of using money to maintain the ride itself...

yea, that song was by Lit i believe....and i think the best song this summer was No More Rain by Blind Melon...good song, kinda made me sick to hear it after a while due to the fact that pki played it like 20 times in an hour

yea, i admit that tomb raider theming is amazing even fof is amazing too(especially at night) that is what makes me happy about the theming pki is capable of...what makes me worried is top gun, obviously the need to keep up the theming there is not priority compared to fof and tr but it still worries me because there is always the possibility that IJ could end up like TG, although doubtful. Tomb Raider has good theming but there are little things that could be fixed and although are very little still sort of bring down the quality of the theming there. For example the spinning triangle in antechamber before you head into preshow, its small but i think its important to keep up the theming no matter how small..it gives the guest a better impression of the park..i expect something along those lines to happen to IJ, something small breaks and PKi doesn't take the time to fix it which could lead into bigger things.so lets hope pki does a good job maintaining this ride.

i think IJ will be one of those rides that will be fun to ride for maybe the first few times but then after that its just boring..thats really the only thing i'm worried about(other than the theming fading away) all in all i'm pretty excited to ride it just because of some of the features i've heard about..i think pki couldn't done a million times better with their rides but seeing the image i believe pki is going for, they really couldn't have done any better..just not pleased with their decision to take out certain rides..ahem
