Kings Island open year round
Really? I enjoy the off season. This always builds anticipation for the next year. Plus, wouldn't the water from your eye's freeze before it reaches your ears? I just couldn't see anyone there with no rides running. I guess you could heat the Crypt and FoF. They could also turn WWC into a ski run, now I'm thinking this isn't such a bad idea.

PTR: A Very Brady Reunion
Thanks for the detailed report. I really wish I could have made it. Everyone looked as if they had a blast. I did have to work so it wasn't all in vein. Did they really have a problem finding girls, or did Dane just like the dress?? LOL

Photo TR: Two days at the Point.
Nice report, and photo's. Too bad the Canada's Wonderland trip didn't work out. Glad to see your two day trip went better. I'm also glad to read you gave MS another chance, and enjoyed it. I love all the head-choppers, and interwinding track. I've also found the front seat green train is the best ride. The pict. of the park from the ferris wheel is awsome. I too agree KI desperately needs a ferris wheel. This time for good.

KIC PTR "the third"
Thanks Ryan. It was unusual not riding several rides that day. We always ride more even with the kids there. This however was my favorite trip to Kings Island since I was young and everything was new to me. Bravo!!!

KIC PTR "the third"
The Second Coming. The only thing I regret is not being around for the first one. This event came as a choicefull time with a chance to see the new Lucis Oil Stadium. Mabye catch a Lynard Skynard show which by the way we have'nt missed in three years. When it came to a decision it was hands down KIC SC. I saw this as a once in a life time opprutunity. Expecialy to see KI's first B&M being built up close. So we bought two tickets, and anticipated the day. We had to drop the kids off in the morning no later than 7am, so we already knew the chance of making it by 8:30 was not so good. Knowing this and the fact I don't care for Invertigo first thing we took our time getting there. Not such a good idea. So when we arrived it was about 9:45, and one out of the three people we asked knew of KIC but not the event. My natural instinct told me to go to GR "Hi were Mr. and Mrs. Late were here for the KIC event". Of course they had the answer to our question with our official "Venomous Important Person" lanyards. (very clever) On a side note we also got to meet the person who came up with the name Dimondback. I think? They made it obvious not official. Well we made our way to the GC to get our SOB backstage pass. After a wounderful bench seat ride we got our tickets, and went to catch a ride on Racer. It still seems to offer the most air time in the park. That is untill DB slithers in. We then ran into and were interduced to Ryan. We followed his group to the entrance of the SOB tour. The person who came up with the name DB is in this photo. I'll give you the same kinda hint they gave us. He "stands" out like a "green" thumb. Man we felt small. After SOB we had plenty of time to get some food. We had Panda Express and met the rest of the KIC staff. These guys really have their stuff together. After hearing them talk about the stuff they balance out on a daily basis, and then plan events such as this. You have to give it to them, they really make this site look easy. So a high five to you guys for making these posts possible day after day. So after finishing my meal and a beer my wife and I headed out. We wanted to get a ride on a classic flat before Dodgems. Another great airtime machine From the Zepher it was a jump to Dodgems were we fell in line behind Jessie (Avatar), who seemed offended by the fact we took the two open cars left instead of riding with his group.I think he was out to hurt me! JK he's truly a nice guy who I can share some common ground with. We once again split from the group to ride The Beast. On and off in exactly 45min. and walked out of the exit right into the crowd gathering for the DB tour. Then we all headed towards The Beast walk behind. This is a familure site for some, but a first for me. Also many of you have seen a photo just this next one, but I really feel honored to add this one to my personal file. After the best tours ever we got to have a much needed sit down to watch 80's Flashback. Another first which we truly enjoyed. This lady was blushing. There was then some good Q&A with the cast with very good questions and answers. A big thanks to the cast and the crowd. Also enjoyed the "first time caller" skit from Dane very Bob and Tommish. Dinner came right after the Q&A. The dinner was great. I felt like I should have had less money afterward. I actually won a prize in the raffle which I was told wasn't really a prize. I was actually glad to have another peice of memrabilia though. It was an autographed picture of David Weathers #25 for the Reds. We then got to attend a personal meeting with some more great higher uppers. It was intresting to find out what they do when we're away. We then decided to book and head home, but that's not where the story ends. I totally spaced my 275 exit. Instead of just whippin around we wanted to see the Cincinnati skyline. We headed over the O.R. via 75. Turning around to hit 75N we saw a chance to get a drink atop a Raddison in a spinning resteraunt. We have a nice one in Indy, but no view like this one. We met a very intesting guy at the bar. To keep a long story short let's just say he was still talking to someone when we left, and we were the last one's at the bar. I had a shot of Crown W/ Coke, and my wife had her usual Daquerie. Headed up 75 to get to 74 we saw this and enjoyed. Well thats all I have to offer besides my patronage and thanks to KIC.

Thanks For Helping to Make Another KIC Day an Awesome Success & Tidbits
Sorry to Bill and anyone else I forgot to mention, the list goes on. Everyone I did not mention would have to fall in the nice folks catagory since you were really a great group of people. Plus I'm not the best w/ names and was lucky enough to remember the ones I did. By the way what was the name of that new ride I think I forgot was it Lithium or something. JK

Thanks For Helping to Make Another KIC Day an Awesome Success & Tidbits
Well first of all thanks to all who made this event possible Ryan, Robbie, Ronny, Dane, Ceadar Fair, and all the nice folks from this years and last years events. Everything at this event was a real treat, and I look forward to meeting you all again soon. My wife and I had a great time. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend Labor day weekend because I'll be on call, the sacrifice made to be at the second coming. I'll post some pics in a TR later when I get a chance.

Photo TR: CP August 14!
Great TR. Glad to see that the rain passed just in time. I can't wait to get back up there. Everyone's stories form the point are killing me. Although I have to say I love seeing the place through all the great pictures. Keep them coming I still have almost a month before the final trip of the season.

Photo TR: Cedar Point 8/4/08
First of all, WOW. The level of excitement one can acheive while reading your TR (all of them) is great. I really felt as if I just left the park myself. The hard time you had will easily be forgotten, and the pictures and memories will last. I almost find it impossible to have a bad time while at the point, but then again it's a 5 hour drive for us. Even after staying awake for 40 some hours my last trip I found it hard to fall asleep because I could not stop thinking about going back the next day. I'm glad you took the time to enjoy BS it really does have the power to make you feel as though you've taken a trip back to the days of care free fun we all enjoyed as a kid. As for MS I'm just one of those crazies who loves it. Don't believe me? looks like I Love this ride actually Thanks for sharing this trip with us, I always look forward to reading everyone's good times on this site. It's something other sites lack, and know this is the place for the best. Keep up the great work. P.S. I really enjoy the ones of now defunct parks. Have you vistited any recently?

Great times in great words. First I've never heard FH described quite like that before. But then again it wouldn't know, mabye I should ask my wife she does love that ride. I also tend to miss the kids after a trip without them. Sometimes we have to get some fun in too though. I also not to found of the spinning, flipping, swinging rides so I share that same intrest of Delirium with your husband. Thanks for the nice post.

Kings Island Unveils Its Meanest Ride in 36 Years: Diamondback, The BRADY BUNCH Returns to Kings Island, 2009 Season Passes & More!
From the off ride video it almost looks as though the water brake is located in the rear of the train. Does this mean no one is gonna get wet?
