Yeah, and give everything to charity. I'm no expert in marketing and copyright, but I don't know if they are allowed to do that, though. Because they don't own the rights to the names, they may have been forced to just dispose of them.

No one claimed they did have that knowledge, it's all speculation, nothing more. I think it's great that you got to go to the park early and I thank you guys very much for those awesome pictures so we can speculate, but just because you saw it first, doesn't mean people aren't allowed to say what they think it is going to be, within reason and a logical guess, of course. I never said they were, I said if...key word. I didn't say "No one is sitting here." There is no period at the end and there is more to that statement, read it again and please don't put words and/or phrases into my mouth making me look like a fool. I completely agree that people without that knowledge shouldn't dismiss other opinions and possibilities and think that theirs is the right one, but people are allowed to say what they think it is whether they have the industry knowledge or not. I completely understand that you are a moderator and your job is to keep the forums clean of spam and bogus posts, but if someone posts a legitimate possibility as to what "Project 2009" may be, and they clearly don't have that industry knowledge, doesn't mean their idea should automatically be discarded and pushed to the side. All in all, I'm not trying to say you are wrong or flame you or anything of the sort, so please don't take my replies the wrong way. I can't stress enough how great your pictures are and how thankful I am to you guys for posting them. Whatever it is, it's going to be great. It's going to be really cool sitting back and watching it go up through the course of the summer, fall, and winter.

I hope this opens by the time I go in June. I have never been on a Huss Top Spin, and The Crypt would be awesome for a first time, so I hear.

No one's narrowing down anything. It's all speculation and theories. That's the whole point of a forum, to discuss and debate issues while creating speculation, theories, hypotheses, and whatnot; besides, it's fun to try and predict what is going on at the construction area, if Kings Island didn't want us to do that, they'd cover everything up and keep it on the down low. No one is sitting here saying that it is definitely going to be this or definitely going to be that, they are just all ideas as to what it could be.

Here's a picture I found of a support that belongs to Tatsu. Not saying that the 2009 project will be a flyer, but just that these huge supports are on other versions of B&M coasters besides Dive Machines. Credit for the picture goes to Theme Park Review. Anyway, not trying to get off topic because this isn't the thread to discuss the 2009 project, but just thought I'd point that out. Great pics and I can't wait until I go to KI in June!

While I think that it's previous location at GL, right by the lake, was far superior to it's current location, Dominator will receive the ridership it deserves. Don't get me wrong, I liked being able to ride it 10 times within an hour last year, especially in the middle of July, when the park should normally be packed, but it was sad seeing no one ride this world-class coaster day after day after day, and seeing numerous empty trains being cycled because no one was in line.

But essentially I could still go there, pay the $10 and look around. I never said anything about free entry, I was asking if they are letting anyone who is willing to pay $10 in, or if you have to prove that you are a part of a big corporation or business interested in purchasing the rides.

When I heard they got rid of this, I was very disappointed. This was my first coaster with an inversion.

Riding The Beast at night again!

No it doesn't, not on my 3 visits last year, at least. I go every year in early May, usually the Thursday and Friday of opening week. Last year it was closed on Thursday, and on Friday (which was Physics Day, the park was packed, last time I'm going that day), they only ran the blue side all day. I went to Cedar Point again on June 13 with a friend who had never been there before. That day, they only ran the red side all day, and it was somewhat crowded. Not really crowded, but crowded enough to run both sides. In years past Gemini was either broken down all-together, or both sides ALWAYS ran, no matter the crowds. There were even times that it was so empty, I raced a nearly empty (sometimes completely empty) train, yet they still ran both all day. Last year was the first time I've seen Cedar Point slip and pull a Six Flags.

Really? $10 huh? I wonder if they'd let a normal person, not interested in purchasing anything, walk around, take pictures, and just look around. I'd like to see what the park looks like now, after the removal of Dominator, Thunderhawk, and various other rides.

There is another rumor that if Head Spin does, in fact, go to Kings Dominion, it will be fitted with the new, lap bar only, Boomerang train like the one on Wiener Prater's Boomerang.

I'm not going opening day, I will be going in June this year. Last year I did Firehawk first, but it was August and crowds were pretty heavy. This year I might be able to do something else and hit Firehawk later because there, most certainly, will be less people in June, than my trip in August last year.

I just joined today! I have lurked on these forums many times in the past, but finally found the time to register. I came up with my name, DarkBeast, because The Beast is my favorite wooden coaster, and I LOVE it in the dark!

It will be cool to know the technical reasons as to why they did it. It's nice that people care and are trying to "save" it, but I doubt Cedar Fair is going to budge.
