  1. It takes someone special to make me shy. Other than that, I'll come right out and say it!
  2. Anyone who was there with me on opening day KNOWS I'm all about organizing a group so we can ride together! Bring it on!
  3. I am bumping this thread to give mention to the merchandise in the DB Trading Post gift shop, and whoever did the sizes for the first rider tees. I am very happy. In the DB gift shop, I noticed junior's DB shirts in my size. I didn't buy one on opening day, but I will definitely be buying at least one. And when I requested a size small for my first rider tee, it was a perfect fit. It wasn't a huge mens size small, it was a womens size small. I was ecstatic that I could proudly wear a first rider shirt that fit me. Thank you, Kings Island.
  4. I love the hat, that looks really cute on you! Your enthusiasm seems to be about the same as mine, which makes me even sadder that I didn't meet up with you to ride anything. Those Scooby shirts are hilarious.. which store did you find them in again? I might get one for my brother. AMAZING pics of Diamond, by the way.
  5. It's all right, I have a lot of people ask me to repeat myself. Much of my heritage is Hungarian/Romanian, so I can be a bit hard to understand sometimes. As far as coaster stamina.. bring it!
  6. That absolutely drives me insane. I work at Speedway and we have 7 large trash cans, 2 HUGE dumpsters, and 2 ashtray/trash cans outside. What do people do? They throw trash all over the ground, and empty their ash trays in the parking lot! My number 1 peeve is when people throw trash AT a trash can, watch it bounce off the trash can, and keep walking. It's enough to make me want to choke them. I've actually reached over, grabbed the trash, thrown it in the can, and said to them, "The trash can is RIGHT THERE." I will completely clean the lot, go back the next day and it's trashed again.
  7. We all do. Cory rocks! That he does.. our group owes you a huge thank you!
  8. Yep. He's like 900 feet tall.
  9. While in line for Maverick at CP, I looked on the wood by the stairs to see someone had taken the time to arrange their stretched-out gum so that it read F*** U. I was slightly amused, but still horrified.
  10. That's great! I love it!
  11. The videos weren't embedded before. I only had them linked because the YouTube embed code didn't work, it only showed up as text. There is a special BB code process to embed YouTube videos, Kat called and helped me out.
  12. Videos are now embedded.
  13. I knew it was over for MF being my #1 after I got fantastic ejector air over and over on my first ride. I rode it 6 times.. 4 day rides and 2 night rides. It's officially my number one.
  14. 1. Diamondback - the most insane airtime on any coaster I've been on to date. Smooth, fun, and extremely enjoyable. The splashdown leaves me speechless.. I could watch it all day. B&M perfection. 2. Millennium Force - AMAZING first drop. Incredible nonstop speed, it just smokes at 93 mph, smooth as glass, no trims, and you can see Canada from the top. Intamin perfection. 3. Maverick - TWO launches, not just one. Lots of fun elements. One of the few coasters I actually laugh on because I'm having so much fun. 4. Beast - Do I really need an explanation? 5. Magnum - It's just too much fun not to ride. I love the signature sound of the lift chain, the view, the drop in the last tunnel, and the fact that you can get trimless rides in the early morning.
  15. Kat and I got in line back by Central Grill and were in the loading station an hour later, even with a full queue. I love how the KIC members/ride ops were assigning seats until I was next, then told me to sit wherever I liked. Or they'd just point me toward the very back of the train with a knowing smile on their face.
  16. No need to go THAT far.
  17. I was thinking it would be a great idea to have a forum where we can post who is going to which park on what day. Kind of like a meeting forum, so everyone's posts don't get lost in the shuffle with the regular Kings Island forum. Gator has posted a topic on his park trips this year, and that is a great example of what to put in the forum I am thinking about. Coincidentally enough, as I'm writing this, Stephanie (kittenpooh) just texted me and asked me when I am going to Kings Island next. I realize that many members here are regulars and many of us know each other, but this is a great way for the new members to meet up with other forum members at not only Kings Island, but at other parks. It's also a great way for the regular Kings Island forum not to get flooded with topics titled "So who's going on (insert date here)?" I'm just throwing out an idea here. I won't be insulted if you guys decide not to run with it.
  18. Angie you traitor! Might as well change your name to "b&mhyper2k9". But that's okay with me. One less rider on Millie MF ftw. Oh it's still on my top list.. it's just number 2 now instead of number 1. I'm still going on CP opening day, you can count on seeing me there.
  19. Ash actually found me while I was in the group sales line. I told her I'd find her later, but I never did.. I feel bad. Same with kittenpooh.
  20. Way to pull at my heart strings, Terp.
  21. Not only texting, but yelling at and flagging down people I recognized from KIC! My phone died before the night was over!
  22. I wasn't sure if this would fit in the off topic forum or the Kings Island forum, because it's both. Well anyway! My dad loves Kings Island. I am upset with myself for accidentally using my free ticket to get in on Saturday (the ticket I was going to save for him), and I know there's no way for me to get one back, so now I have to spend money thanks to my stupidity. I need opinions on what to get him for an early Father's Day present. The company he works for usually has their picnic at the Picnic Grove, but this year they are complaining of costs, so he isn't sure if he will get tickets from them this year or not. I am not sure if he will want to do ERT or not, and I am not sure how many days he wants to go this year, he usually only goes once or twice. We always ride together to KI, and I'm a platinum passholder, so parking fees aren't an issue. Platinum wouldn't make sense because I can get him an $8 discount on admission with my CP coupon book, and we will probably only go to CP once together this year. So I am debating between a two-day ticket and a gold pass. Would a regular season pass be worth it? What do you guys think?
  23. By the way, if you sit in the very very back, don't do what I did and put your arm all the way back directly over the water scoop as the train enters the splashdown. I got blasted.. my right arm and right leg were dripping wet, and I was wringing water out of my shirt sleeve.. Kat did the same thing because she was sitting with me, and her left side got the same.. it was hysterical.
