  1. So it is safe to assume that since I am a member here (joined August 2008), an ACE member, and a 2009 platinum passholder, that I'm good to go?
  2. Great TR, Touchdown.. and yes, I did read all of it. I once relied on mapsonus.com.. never again. I got lost about 20 miles from where I should have been. Google Maps hasn't gotten me too lost, but when all else fails I just use the GPS on my cell phone.
  3. Several of my friends from Cedar Point are coming down too, and I haven't seen a few of them since CP closing day. That day was the day I missed my ritual last ride on MF with one of my best friends that works there, because my phone died. I lost two others in the crowd and never found them. It made for a very sad ending to my season. I'm looking forward to being reunited with my KI and CP people in 2 weeks (less than that, actually). This off season is dragging I tell you.
  4. I forgot to add that I am not a fan of the spinning carnival rides. Those tend to make me very nauseous.
  5. So my first visit is coming up at the end of next month. I'm definitely not missing out on Voyage and Pilgrims' Plunge, but how do Legend and Raven compare to each other? I don't want to hit Voyage first as I'm sure Legend and Raven will pale in comparison afterward. I've heard so many great things about this park, and I can't wait to go. For anyone who has been there, what would you suggest I do to make the most of my trip?
  6. I'll let you know what it's like in my amazing PTR.
  7. I agree with that. Two rides I have had panic attacks on are now two of my favorites. I disagree with the part about closing your eyes.. if you don't know what's going on, you may think you are higher than you actually are and be more scared. How do you know what is going on or isn't going on when you close your eyes? If you don't want to experience the ride, don't ride it.
  8. 1982. Viper at Darien Lake.
  9. KI opening day Ride Warriors Weekend at KI Cedar Point opening day CoasterMania! at Cedar Point Holiwood Nights at Holiday World Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Coney Island Waldameer Beech Bend
  10. You're not the first one to mention that, now that I remember. I will have to try that seat.. I've walked on to maXair a few times and it was so dead that the ride ops told us pick any seat we wanted. I wonder if it's the same for Delirium?
  11. MaxAir destroys Delirium. But I still find Delirium to be an enjoyable ride. I spend so much time in Action Zone that I feel like I insult Kings Island if I go to the park without riding it.
  12. That would be pretty cool to see if Drop Tower was testing.

Keep the photos coming, they are amazing. The photos of the snow capped mountains just take my breath away.
  14. I'm number 131. Here's hoping I don't get knocked down 61 spots in the next 12 days!
  15. Ash, I took that pic with my old enV. I stood as close to the track as I could (I was over by the 3 point shootout), and zoomed in as closely as I could as the train came by. I'll be getting MUCH better photos this summer with my actual camera instead of my cell phone, though.
  16. You might be a KI addict if you check the Diamondback auction board on your phone while you and another KIC member are driving back from KI.. guilty guilty guilty
  17. Better clarity as always? Was that ending remark really necessary? I was not in any way complaining about the clarity of Ryan's post, which is completely fine. I merely asked a related question that I felt was valid.
  18. It works beautifully on my BlackBerry pearl. I think it's your carrier rather than your phone, but then I've never been a big fan of Verizon. Posted from my BlackBerry mobile device. Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace work beautifully on my VX8700. KICentral comes up as a jumble of disorganized buttons and links that take me nowhere.. I don't get it.
  19. I have this obsession with trying to get the train in just the right spot in my photos.
  20. I think every queue needs a huge, obvious sign that reads "Please do not line jump and/or throw wads of gum at our TVs." KI is a nice park. It is not a trash can, nor is it a hurdle competition. I rarely see those rules enforced and it really bothers me.
  21. Maybe now that Vortex has been repainted, they have also noticed the hundreds of pennies and wads of gum on the little balcony by the station to the right, and all the wads of gum stuck to the TV on the left. ..and somebody's nasty weave stuck in the trees to the right of the loading station (how are you about to wear fake hair on a roller coaster that goes upside down 6 times and think it's going to stay there?).
  22. HA! KIC hasn't worked with the last three phones I've had, one of which was a newly released touch screen, internet capable phone! I gave up. I just wait until I get home to the computer.
  23. I concur. One day it started to rain halfway through my ride on Millennium Force. Everyone started screaming in pain and covering their faces.. raindrops feel more like thumbtacks at 93 mph.
  24. That looks terrific. I don't remember the last time I saw it looking that good.. KI and their attention to detail never ceases to amaze me.
