Coney Islander

I can't believe I missed this! These are so funny! The Lil' Sammy one made me crack up for a full minute!

I went last year. Where were you working in the house? The Dent Schoolhouse is more fun than, but not as scary as USS Nightmare, the other Haunt I go to every year. Never been to Kings Island Haunt. Going for the first time this year.

Wait, you have to be 16 to work at haunt? I thought it was 15.

...The only reason i could see that they would leave it open ended is to try and get the early season pass sales before they announce that they will lose a star attraction (actually, most likely two star attractions...) and not receive anything in the near future. That cant look good, especially with Kings Island being the bright spot on Cedar Fairs financial reports.... What is the second one? Did I miss something? Some people are convinced that The Crypt is being removed within the next few years. I, for one is not one of those people.

Well said! Really, lighter trains might help a bit, but anyone remember last time they added lighter trains? I really saw no difference between the old and new trains, besides the fact that the old trains looked so cool. What did they do with the old trains, anyway?

I was watching Fox 19 News last night and the news lady, after reporting about the Son of Beast, mentioned, "Park officials are not happy about the experience the ride [Son of Beast] gives." I just thought this was an peculiar thing to say when reporting about a ride.

Sounds bad! Broken bones would really happen on what I heard is such a slow ride? edit- whoops faster than I thought

Only rode coasters in the US. Thorpe Park and Alton Towers in Britain look great.

double post

OH! The irony!

Even if Son of Beast is closed for good I betcha it will be SBNO for a while. They just bought a giant Hypercoaster, and the economy isn't really in the best of times.

Nice article, Terpy! That would have been amazing.

QUOTE (Elmer Fudd @ Aug 10 2009, 03:24 PM) well put Thrill_Biscuit! I'll just ditto those remarks. ^Agreed^ Kings Island Central is a great community and I'm a pleasure to be a part of it. Edit- Just realized this was my post 500. Great timing!

Hmmmmm Interesting, quite interesting...

I think it would be a GREAT idea to have a question and answer forum- one that people can post questions about anything related to Kings Island or other amusement parks, and get an answer from a more experienced forum member.

About half an hour ago, Terpy made his 20,000th post! Congratulations Terpy, and can't wait for another 20,000!

Is there any good reason for seat belts on this type of ride anyway?

Spam some more please?? Atleast post something relating to the topic that this person has started. No thanks considering it wasn't spam. Don't be so offended. The thread WAS necessary stated by a mod, not you. Wait 1 sec... Terp's a Mod?

Holiday World really should get a steel multi- looper. If one of those is built I'm going to Holiday World for sure next year.

Edit- Take a look at this wild ride- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9N39SspmM4...feature=related That ride looks insane! If that ride looks insane you should see this one I found earlier today-

I find Invertigo a fun ride. Strong forces, 4 inversions. And as a plus you can watch people freaking out in the seats across from you. My favorite part!

I don't know about this ride, but a month ago I rode a Top Scan in Virginia Beach and it was HEAVEN. Edit- Take a look at this wild ride- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9N39SspmM4...feature=related and heres a Top Scan-

I really hope they redesign Chaos, it is among one of my favorite flat rides.

So is Demon Drop a coaster? It really depends on your definition of a roller coaster. It's not exactly a roller coaster, but many say they strongly believe it is. Just like Avatar. On a different topic why are amusement parks removing their Chaos rides so fast?

Hi, I'm wondering if anybody has photos of the theming on Adventure Express. I'm planning to sketch the ride and it would be nice to have some visual help. Thanks!
