This is totally off topic, but Zorba, your avatar cracks me up. Back on topic. The saddest thing about this is that people will pay it because it's still cheaper than buying a ticket at the gate. I hate 'hidden' fees - just stick it in the price of the ticket up front rather than sneaking it in the back door. Amazingly we did not marathon DB as much as you guys would probably expect. We took advantage of the walk on crowds to hit some other favorites. I did get another 6 rides in, including 4 in one hour between 5:00 and 6:00. My husband and I will be returning tomorrow. To answer some quick questions they were allowing small groups into the single rider line but it saved no time today due to the short line. The trim was grabbing just as much as last weekend and the trim on Racer had been turned back on. Racer was only running one side, red side. Firehawk was also only running one side so we skipped it. All rides except backlot and Diamondback were walk on. I took the promised video of Diamondback dispatching and will put up a trip report when we get home. Posted from my BlackBerry mobile device.

I'm not sure if I will be there for the ERT. We have to get my husband's season pass processed and I don't know what the line will look like, plus we're having to make a slight detour to pick up a coupon from a friend for $10 off his pass. Pretty much all water parks have this rule. It's to prevent scratching the finish on the water slides. And yes, it's incredibly difficult to find shorts without grommets. You can cut the grommets out and make a pair of shorts your dedicated water park shorts. The water park also sells grommet-less shorts, though I don't know what kind of prices they are anymore. When I worked there (6 years ago), they were actually about the same price you'd find outside the park. Last year I had grommets on the front of my shorts but not the back (I wear a pair of nylon shorts over my swim suit) and they let me on the slides, but that was probably because they were being nice rather than they were actually supposed to.

Going back to Avatar's idea, I use Twitter from my BlackBerry. If you've got mobile web you can use mobile Twitter. I update my Twitter fairly often when I'm at the park, so anyone who follows me can check to see approximately where I am at any given time. I'm violakat03 on Twitter for anyone that's interested in following me. I love Angie's original idea. Especially with Terpy's addition of putting it on a calendar. Some sites have an event calendar where you can click on a day and see what's going on that day. Something like that where we could add our usernames to the calendar on days we're going would be outstanding.

Fricker's has those dryers and while you're using them, you can see your skin ripple. Very strong dryers, and probably the best I've used. I hate them. For me, they hurt.

It's possible that the stop you encountered was not a e-stop, but a setup because the block ahead was full. This is a normal occurrence under 3 train operation of AE. It was most likely an e-stop because when we walked past there at about 10:50, there was a ride op moving a trash can in the way of the entrance and telling everyone it was broken. It stayed that way for the next hour or so.

My goal is 100 rides on Diamondback.. By Sunday night.

Even better, not only did the DDN call it "THE" Diamondback, they also said it has a 215 foot tall first hill.

We found the test seat less forgiving than the actual ride. Your best bet is try the test seat - if it turns green, you are definitely good to go. If it's close, wait in line anyway - my theory is you never know until you try and the ride is definitely more forgiving than the test seat.

It's in need of a paint job, and it's starting to sound rather creaky.

I use 5 hour energy. It always works. Plus there's not much caffeine or sugar in it so you don't crash.

I'm just fat and out of shape, lol. I spent all day Sunday sleeping and lazing around, recovering. But the good thing is, days like Saturday will help me lose weight!

They will direct you once you get there. For opening day, they went down by Scooby Doo, but that's no guarantee that will be the same all season. Just listen to the directions of the park employees, they shouldn't lead you astray.

I totally forgot about my napkin swan. That was good fun. I learned that I don't have enough energy to keep up with the giga. She is non-stop energy, I need breaks every now and then!

Actually, I was able to choose my seat when I was in the SRL. I think it depends. I think you can say hey I want to go last row or something and they'll stick you with another single rider, but they prefer not to. I rode with someone on my second to last trip that was on his 19th lap of the day. On his 20th ride, they asked him where he wanted to sit and him and another single rider got front seat. People in the main line were complaining that they got to choose their own seat.
