  1. Yeah, I'm still figuring out mobile. I didn't know how to post a direct link to the tweet, so I choose not to quote and let someone else do it. I know how picky some people are about direct links!
  2. Cedar Point's GM had an interesting reply to that tweet.
  3. I want to hear the story of you opening for Jefferson Starship.
  4. Do OSHA fines get paid to OSHA or the injured employee? How does this work?
  5. Would have been cool if they did a Cav's restaurant much like the Reds Grille at KI.
  6. I always thought it was weird that there were two TGI Fridays so close together. Glad this is replacing one of them.
  7. This is why you wait until you have home field advantage. I only use public restrooms if it is an emergency.
  8. The Orlando Eye is supposed to open next year, IIRC.
  9. And Gwazi's poor performance was the sole reason for none of the other SEAS parks investing in a wooden coaster. The Williamsburg park wanted one for a while, but Gwazi was the nail in the coffin.
  10. There are some very sad Facebook posts coming from some very close friends today. It seems the hammer has fallen for a lot of the mid-range full timers and even some higher ups...
  11. ^That was just a lot of noise to me, but now I want Sir Richard Branson to buy the SEA parks. That would be really fun.
  12. Popular blogs have picked it up. http://gawker.com/the-ceo-of-sea-world-has-resigned-after-one-little-doc-1670033420
  13. ^Well, I hate to do it again but: SeaWorld CEO stepping aside as company announces layoffs http://www.orlandosentinel.com/business/os-seaworld-ceo-20141211-story.html I met the CEO twice as an intern and I'm ok with him leaving. He was a dick. I'll be sad if/when the great people at Busch Gardens that I know get let go.
  14. "When I got back, I headed through The Lost Continent... and realized I would need to spend a lot more time in The Lost Continent in the future. As much as I love Harry Potter, I have a soft spot for unique theme park areas that don't rely on intellectual property*. And that, to the best of my knowledge, is what The Lost Continent is. It's a breathtaking area filled with collapsed ruins and complex, beautiful stone structures that I only had about ten minutes to look through before having to head back towards the car. But I made sure to find where Poseidon's Fury was located--it was for sure on my to-do list during my time in Orlando. It would have to wait for another day!" Yes! I could spend hours in the Lost Continent. It's so beautiful and peaceful. Definitely a top 5 candidate for best area of a theme park to nap in.
  15. I think Jeff Putz put it perfectly when he said "This is what we wanted Millennium Force to be, we just didn't know it at the time."
  16. And more bad news: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/business/os-seaworld-ezpay-20141208-story.html Their legal team has soooooooo much to deal with...
  17. I love Sir Richard Branson. The guy is amazing and spends his money on very cool things.
  18. How is a Vekoma Flying Coaster, a Vekoma Boomerang, and a SLC a good thing?
